I rabbit hunt down here in Louisiana and a tip that I would use is stepping on every brush pile that you see. That rabbit will not move unless it is touched by something. I’ve had stomped on brush piles and a rabbit wouldn’t come out until I stepped on the actual rabbit just a little tip of mine. Good video tho keep up the work

I wish however the devs would check out videos and comments like these.... in the game rabbits spot you like from 100m afar and dash away like hell....

I remember my first time rabbit hunting for large cottontails here in Colorado with my best friends the anxiety and heavy heartbeats could contain my excitement the very first time I saw one moved that just brought back great memories I will be watching this series very seriously thank you brother!!

I have been watching you guys for at least 5 years. I live in North Dakota all my life, and i'm 36, and this winter was the warmest I saw growing up. ND, SD, and Minn have been rough for ice fishing. because it has been so warm. Love the video. Crazy at 11:31, that rabbit was not as white at this time of year. Because of the snow we would have. Awesome shot, man.

Instapot in that marinade then a quick sear in a hot pan with bacon fat! Shred off the bone and serve over wild rice with the reduced cooking liquid spooned over the top... Serve with some pan seared ramps(same time as the rabbit sears in the same pan...) on the side... I found some wild ramps the other day out in my wild patch, 2 months early for SW MN! Ice is off the local lakes already! It was rotten a month ago and the DNR asked people to get fish houses off a month early.

Try breading and deep frying them, sprinkle with seasoned salt or garlic salt right after the fryer! So fricken good

Great vid! Try browning it and then putting it in the pressure cooker. Marinate it how you like. The pressure cooker is the way to go with rabbit, zero fat on them. 🇨🇦

I’ve been hunting rabbit for the first time this year in Colorado. I’ve walked so many miles and only two rabbits so far. Think there are like 2 days left of the season. I’m going to go out tomorrow morning.

It’s good. Mix it up with venison chops/medallions or shrimp. I guarantee it’s good
If you're not going to be using dogs get used to brush stomping, lot of time its no matter the noise you make on the outside of the brush they will stay tucked an they won't jump unless you get in the brush they're hiding in, sometimes you almost step on em before they jump. And if you miss your shot sit tight for a little bit most generally they just make a big circle and come back to where you jump them from

Nice bunny hunt Jon....we just had our annual hunt at the lease.....we shot 13, a low number for us....but there were a few misses...I would recommend #8's....target loads...it doesn't tear up the bunny much....as you seen...they hold up tight as we call it....sometimes your only a foot away...
We usually have 6 guys and couple dogs....
Same as you, we prefer alittle snow but this year was not that year...recommend a very sunny day also....
We only shot 13 but they where big bunnies!!!.. we usually get 18 to 28....

I would recommend a medium to high heat and cook to internal temp of 165....no more then 5 minutes per side....as you would with waterfowl...longer you cook the tougher it gets....
Good news I am responding to the cancer very well...my combination treatment has my lungs in complete response....looks like might be removing the tumor and kidney here soon....the tumor is 80% dead....so hopefully things continue to go in this direction so that I can beat stage 4 Renal cell cancer....
Trying to put 1 more bunny hunt together before the walleye run on the Detroit river....not much of a ice over here in Michigan this year....
The walleye are hitting but will only get better.....

Shot a rabbit with BOSS bismuth 12g 4s this year. Figured that was a good do-all load but the whole thing was hamburger and there were bits of bone fragments everywhere. I’ll probably go to steel 6s now lol

What i havent seen yall tried is steelhead fishing. This time of season is pretty good and would like to see some steelhead fishing. And missed these wild game catch clean cook.
Mostly because i live in the Dakotas 😂😂 there is no steelhead by me
@@MinnDakOutdoors yeah most steelhead fishermans are around michigan and oregon and mostly midwest overall.
You need to have one guy block on one side of the shelter belt and the other on the other side that walks through kickin to the other guy that’s what I do and it works great
