Super disappointed with the KOHO devaluation. KOHO was one of the better non-bank cards. Coincidentally I received an email from them a few weeks ago about how excited they were about their move toward becoming a bank. I guess this is them now acting very bank-like. Grrr. Also very disappointed that I had to learn about this from Rewards Canada (thank you!). No communication directly from KOHO itself. Grrr. And of course, it is very difficult to contact KOHO to tell them how I feel about this. Perhaps it's time to shop around for an alternative. Love Rewards Canada! Thanks for your hard work and the ongoing incredibly valuable information.

Thank you for the kind words! We are glad you like the information we provide.
As to KOHO, my guess is that with existing cardholders having their current plans grandfathered they figure there is no rush to communicate the changes since it won't affect them.
However on the other hand they should be letting existing cardholders know as I would guess that if you choose to switch to another plan you'll lose any grandfathered benefits and earn rates.

All these new small financial companies pulled everyone in with great offers and great cards and all these too good to be true values, the next thing to go is the high interest on accounts, it was good while it lasted I guess.

Yes, it's the same pattern from them all - Neo, Brim and now Koho. while others are completely gone like Stack and Mogo.

Really wish I could have kept the HSBC Mastercard for the Singapore points transfer. I guess the play is Cathay now for getting to SEA.

Yes, Cathay is probably the play now. Alaska Airlines is always a good option as well but availability is always a crap shoot and we need to wait to see if and when the MBNA transfers to Alaska come online.
