मैंने भी एक सेकंड हैंड गाड़ी ख़रीदी थी मारुति 800 dx मॉडल. गाड़ी फ़र्स्ट ओनर थी और non accidental थी. 100 km चलने के बाद मालूम हुआ की बैटरी ख़राब है , नई बैटरी ली, 200 km चलने के बाद मालूम हुआ की tyre बदलने पड़ेंगे , बदल दिया, मेरे पैसे ख़र्च होते रहे और पॉकेट ख़ाली होता गया, एक छोटी मोटी नौकरी करने वाले के पास फ़ालतू पैसा होता नहीं है फिर भी मैं गाड़ी पर पैसे ख़र्च करता रहा । क़रीब 600- 700 km चलने के बाद starting trouble शुरू हो गई, mechanic के पास गया, उसने plug खोलकर चेक किया और देखा कि एक प्लग पर मोबिल आ रहा है, नये plug लगवा दिए , कुछ दिन गाड़ी ठीक चली फिर वही प्रॉब्लम 😪😪, हर 400-500 km पर प्लग शॉट कर जाते थे, फिर mechanic ने कहा कि engine बनाना पड़ेगा और Rs10000 का ख़र्च आएगा 😪😪, पूछा कि सस्ते में कोई उपाय है तो उसने कहा कि पिस्टन पर ring दाल देते हैं गाड़ी सही हो जाएगी ( हालाँकि mechanic यह जानता था कि आजकल की गाड़ी की एंजिन में रिंग successful नहीं होता है ) Rs 5000 फिर से लगे, 2000 km चलने के बाद फिर वही कहानी plug shot करना फिर शुरू, मैंने mechanic बदला और पैसे जुगाड़ कर engine बनवाया फिर से Rs 10000 लगे, लेकिन फिर से क़रीब 5000 km चलने के बाद वही कहानी प्लग पर मोबिल आने लगा उस दिन मैं दिल से रो पड़ा 😭😭
गाड़ी में फिर से रिंग डलवायी और कूड़े के भाव में बेच दिया
मुझे यह सिख मिली की कभी भी अनजान व्यक्ति से सेकंड हैंड गाड़ी मत ख़रीदो , अगर गाड़ी आपके नज़र के सामने की है या किसी नज़दीकी दोस्त या रिस्तेदार की है तो आप ले सकते हो
आप सोच सकते हो की अगर अपने एक सेकंड हैंड mercedes ले ली और अगर उसका engine ख़राब निकल गया तो पाँच लाख से कम नहीं लगेंगे engine बनवाने में

While I appreciate your effort in highlighting the facts about buying an used car, I observed that one has to check the car thoroughly with a experienced garage, using all diagnostic tools in the first place.
Checking the floor, checking under carriage leakages, engine leakages, electrical and total mechanical performance, shock absorbers, radiator leakage and performance, suspension are a must.
At 9:54, I find it amazing to check engine compression with just the look at the dip stick...............lol.
Similarly Paaji's explanation on checking the genuine mileage is not really convincing.
