They sure talked about that first rehearsal quite a bit in their interviews (the scene where they kiss for the first time in Call Me By Your Name). EDIT: Also, I think the "Chrolli" actors admitted to rehearsal kissing as well. They certainly did a LOT of kissing on that show (german soap opera called "Verbotene Liebe").

I'm over 60. One of the few things that gives me hope in the world is that more and more young, straight men are accepting and comfortable with gay men and gay sexuality. The future will be less homophobic, at least in most westernized countries. I hope I live to see it.
