I’ll show you the loud and colorful local Sri Lankan market, then when I met by chance a newlywed couple ready to leave for their honeymoon. I’ll then take you with me to a local supermarket to buy tea (and get a selfie with two lovely girls working there. I’ll end the day walking around the village, to discover a nice small Buddhist temple where a kind lady asked me to do some prayers with her.

Sri Lanka is one of the safest places to visit in Asia and the world, specially if you are a girl travelling alone. I hope you enjoy!

Lipton tea is one of the world famous srilankan tea
After I bought it I have been told it’s not the best tea, I’ve tried it and honestly it’s very good! At least the one I bought here in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Lipton tea tastes better in Sri Lanka than in Europe, I prefer Lipton Yellow tea bags because it has a mild taste, but if you're adding milk then you have to buy the loose pack. BTW, Ceylonta is Lipton loose tea 🙂
I agree, Lipton tea in Italy is not strong enough and I only drink strong tea in the morning at breakfast 😀
In most marriages in Sri Lanka, the bride moves to the groom's house. Therefore, the bride cried because of the sadness of leaving her parents
It must be hard to leave the family and move to another one!

When you buy Lipton tea in Europe , you are getting a blend from different countries like China, India, Kenya & also Sri Lanka. Whereas if you are buying it in Sri Lanka, you are probably only getting the local tea. Lipton is now of course a multinational company, but the founder Sir Thomas Lipton started off with multiple tea plantations & factory in Sri Lanka & his name is still synonymous with Ceylon tea.
Wow thanks for the info! The tea I bought is good and it seems like made in Ceylon only. I never buy Lipton tea abroad - in Italy for example it’s not strong enough for my taste

Generally in Srilankan tradition bride will leave her home and parents and stay with the groom. In buddhist culture there are three special occasions those are birth, marriage and death. The Birth and death are beyond the control of us, but we can decide about our marriage. Thank you for exploring the true culture of my county, thank you again

Bridegroom's dress was Air Force uniform. So these weddings call Ceremonial Weddings.
There is no connection with temples to weddings.
Most of brides are crying when leaving the reception hall due to extreme happiest and sadness due to separate from her perants.
