Give it a full tune up it will help it idle, start easier, better fuel mileage and have it's maximum power. I always change oil, new oil filter if applicable, install new spark plug - gap and greese spark plug threads and boot area.

I had a arctic cat DVX which is the exact same quad just different plastics and I can say those are the most reliable sport quads I’ve ever had/ridden

@@Erlov71 issue with spacers is that they arent nearly as durable as some extended a arms, theyre fine for a cheap short term fix but its always better to get the actual parts
I got a ltz same model make sure you put all the suspension on max soft you will like it much more.
I got an 05 ltz 400 too my man and I’ve rebuild it from the ground up and going to silver lake buddy
DG V bumper is a must for this bike.

bruh fourwheelers too fun, i got a suzuki kingquad 750 with 30" tires with 2" lugs and i still be wheelie and jumping. just too fun
I had one i think 03.. renthal handlebars, DG bumper n nerf bars, yoshimura slip on exhaust, i loved that thing dude.. put a slip on for sure
It seems like it had a idle problem probably just needs an adjustment or maybe a carb clean but other then that this thing is clean

When you buy anything mainly a quad gotta listen to the engine check tie rods bearings axle steering stem breaks check the frame and check the vin make sure it’s on there always get a bill of sale make sure rims arnt bent and make sure it shifts

Love my 03 Z-400, nice bikes for sure. Unfortunately OEM parts are becoming harder to find these days. I picked a super clean low hr Z-400 up before COVID-19 when prices for these bikes where $2500 in one year they went up by at the least a $1000 Bike looks clean tho. 🙂
Bro same got mine for 2600. Title, tote full of spare parts, manual. All stock except for a full dmc exhaust and dynojet jet kit.
you can still get all the parts at suzuki, brand new OEM

Damn I had a kfx400 which is literally the same quad and it broke all the time

@mike hunt nice that's awesome I rode a trx 450 and man did it ever have a lot of torque and power was going half throttle in 4rth 5th gear punched it and and the whole rear end squated and took off it was pretty scary only being like 120 pounds

I grew up on 2 wheels from a kid through teens...rode a cpl quads never paid much attention. Later in life ended up with a 03 400ex that had some of the best bolt on parts to make it ride better an go a little quicker. I fell in love. Need another
