Just some tips ya. Have to on the stove with low fire when you are frying the rice to get the wok smell. The rice must be a bit dry. Garlic paste if added makes it more tasty with fried anchovies which are either pounded or put as whole. My kids love it when I put in smashed dried prawns. Damn tasty. Love from Malaysia :)

Great attempt! Anchovies are missing - and we don't eat Nasi Goreng with Acar in Malaysia. We eat it with Chili Pad Potong (Bird eyes soaked in sweet soy sauce) ... We use dried shrimp when we blend the onion and garlic. Nevertheless, good try from a non-malaysian.
