I've never been to the beginning of a bon dance. It was cool to see and hear the beginning. I didn't learn a lot about traditions of Japan. I only knew or know of very surface stuff. Big mahalo for sharing this side of the culture and traditions. 🍍😎🤙🌴🥥🌺🌈👹👺
I always enjoy watching the various generations that attends and participates. To also see different ethnicities enjoying and participating is awesome! Especially in today's social climate where the message is, if you're not of that culture/ethnicity you have no business wearing the traditional clothing. It says a lot about the bon dance community.
