I use Decoder Pro. No conflicts so far. It's nice to have a saved database with all the CVs. If anything happens to a decoder, with just a few clicks of the mouse buttons it's right back to where it was saved.

This is awesome George! To bad I didn’t realize this before the 250,000 phone calls I made to you with about 300,000 questions 🤣

I'm currently using a Digitrax command station and throttles so is it possible to do the same thing with my equipment?

Never mind. I figured it out. No need to reply. I originally thought you were copying all CV at once but now I understand you're doing one CV at a time. Great idea anyway. If your programming team could come up with a way to copy all CV from one loco to another at the same time that would be an awesome feature!

Since I do use DecoderPro, all the time, I have never encountered any conflict between your decoders and that software. This includes Sound Value, Econami, Tsunami, and Tsunami2. If there are issues as you say, they must be few. So why don't you make a list of these few conflicts and I can see to it that they are addressed.

We do not have a list of conflicts nor do we troubleshoot Decoder Pro when someone calls with an issue. We teach them how to fix the issue using their CVs as we do not support Decoder Pro.

OK, forget a list. Just indicate whatever was the last problem you allude to. Surely you can relate the last, or at least a recent, such issue, if there really was one. Just one will due. I'll be satisfied if one can be addressed.

Thanks George. I had no idea that this could be done. I do not Decoder Pro but not for the same reason you don't. I think that in order to understand how things work, you need to lean how to do it manually. This will make you a better technician and operator if you can troubleshoot a problem. When you learn the "manual of arms" then go to the automatic mode.
One question. I get the impression that in order to copy a locomotive profile using the decoder, it is done one CV at a time. Is this correct or is there a way to "globally" clone a decoder?

Other than Decoder Pro, not that I know of. It's about the only reason I can see to use DP regularly.. Copy all the CVs.. then write all CVs and you have a clone.. Then change the address to the one you want and go.. It would save time in that regard.. But i also keep a notes list of common CV settings, like brakes, momentum, etc., and then just write CV by CV and in no time I'm done..
      I hope this helps.. ~G
