I love you Marty ... Your music is my adolescent life's soundtrack ... Best of times of dreams, anticipation and aspiration. It means a lot to me now that I am an old man
Martys guitar playing is unmatchable, best sense of Melody ever. This video and all the others on EMG Videos still blow my mind, I Will Never get over how perfectly he performs these out of worldly composed pieces of Music!
love marty!! met and talked to him and dave mustaine for about an hour at a hotel in dallas tx yeeeears ago. he was surprised i recognized em cuz nobody else did. amazing guitar player
since always that i m a fan of is sound, there s no other guitar player like him , that special touch....since my 17 that i try to play like him, 20 years have passed and his sound still ....
Give me free custom shop guitars and you can paint it dirty, which is what EMG called themselves originally. The Dirty Company I believe. I doubt Marty cared as long as he got paid.
Not a fan of the guitar but good god almighty this guy is still fucking amazing. Like Jeff Loomis said, "He's a guitar guru and the dude you could learn the most about guitar from." I just wish i had his ability, chops, interpretation and just be as great as him. And i have a long list of favorite guitar players that I'd love to switch with but none as much as Marty Friedman. Second maybe John Petrucci then Paul Gilbert or Jeff Loomis.
@@_Arnab_Ghosh yes indeed, I am Andy's subscriber & fan, I heard almost all his compositions. Besides Marty, he also has videos playing in the style of Petrucci, Kirk Hammett, Synyster Gates etc. etc.
Marty went for a solo carer and it's awesome and a lot of guitar players with his ability didn't So that what make friedmann so special it's his special picking technique and style also scales he use and the rythme and logic of the song marty can pass you a musical message well he is inspiring everyone ❤
Playing a technic is not playing music, I never liked Sweep Picking sounds like 'bdloop bdloop bdloop bdloop' - Marty Friedman. One of the most greatest guitar player ever and my influence and hero. I fucking love him.
haha i actually got to asked him that question in his clinics. he mentioned that reason why is not because he started picking like that, when he first started or anything its actually because he prefers the notes to ring rather than palm mute , the only time he palm mutes is when he's riffing and when he does his vibratos, he mutes and use a finger to flick his bends
lol same here. But i don't think you can call a guy who lives in Japan, married a Japanese woman and speaks the language fluently a weeaboo. Maybe me but not Marty
@@Bobobobobo2 no he doesn't. If you watch Troy Grady's videos with Marty, you'll see that Marty only mutes between a few phrases in each song, and when he does, he brings his wrist into a "normal" position.
i see a lot of people talking about the guitar. According to Martys facebook, from Marty himself, the guitar was rescued from a building fire. I imagine it was restored. He also made it sound like the guitar wasnt his but was at the studio when he made these videos.
God gets all the Glory on Marty's beautiful playing talent. Just beautifully written and played. Thanks Marty for giving us musicians and lovers of music something incredible to listen to.
This tone is so fizzy,I can feel the taste of rust in my mouth after listening this video.Other than that Marty is one of a kind ,and that will always stay in my book.
Just no matter how good you are, there's always Marty Friedman
+TheManwithafan Marty Friedman is his own category kind of like Jeff Beck.
+TheManwithafan exactly. his sense of melody is of his own and no one likes it
I love your comment haha
150 va like kar raha hun tere comment pe
Agreed
I dont want this song to end
My favourite guitarist..love him so much :)

luis silva me too
The one, the only, the LEGEND Marty Friedman! You can't copy/sound like him, you just can't. Loudspeaker is simply a masterpiece.
I think this is the first time I've ever heard and/or seen Marty use the neck pickup. Ever!
I think it's because the active EMG's
Always marty friedman...i cant be tired being lullabied by this masterpiece over and over
no matter how many times, when or where he plays. it's always with the same soul, feeling and heart. I'm amazed by Marty..truely!!!!
I'm the only guy who actually likes the way the guitar looks with it all burnt? What do you expect after Marty plays on it?
Word man, I shit on those that shit on Marty.
Lol, you must have no taste whatsoever. His hair is godly, his music is beyond that.
Paulo Alexandre dumb

Paulo Alexandre just cozy you don’t like his music or whatever doesn’t mean it shit..... you’re too full of yourself which is honestly pretty sad

@@kylewalker3887 you know brother, Andy James has a lesson on 'Playing in the style of Marty Friedman'. Don't think I should say more?

marty's playing gives me chills... he's THE guitar god
What a complete control, Marty is made in heaven..
one of the most unique players on the planet and one of my favs since i heard countdown to extinction as a teenager
Memories, memories with this song 😮
Me: I’m good at guitar
Also me: Watches this video

Charles Wallace funny man!

so many imperfection, this is why I love Marty
Nobody bends quite like Marty. I love it! ❤️
Such a talented musician. He can change his styles of playing and adapt really well to different music genres.
Wonderful! This song is one of my favorites from Mr Friedman. It's so cool to see him play it live!😃 Very interesting instrument too...
すばらしい Marty-san
Very soulful.... I've got this mood/beat... amazing solo
Melody > Speed
Melody = Skills.
Arda melody + speed + skills = boss/epic status
melody + speed > melody
TightyWhities94 Marty have both
Marty Friedman > melody + speed + skills
What an emotional performance!! Man I love Marty
Playing a technic is not playing music, I never liked Sweep Picking sounds like 'bdloop bdloop bdloop bdloop' - Marty Friedman. One of the most greatest guitar player ever and my influence and hero. I fucking love him.
@ThrashMetal I think he's referring to nonstop straight up and down sweeps, which is definitely something he tries to avoid.
compositionaly he is perfect
He should rejoin Megadeth
Marty why you don't play like this anymore. You were a fricking genius
one of the best guitar inst i ever heard in my life
fantastic music and performance, thanks man
Only 1 word for marty friedman.
(I Love You Marty Friedman)
That was really great. Such an amazing player, and love his solo tone with that envelope filter pedal!
a documentary can be produced about his picking technic
And it would still confuse people. "Why does it look so weird, and yet work so damn well??"
I like his approach to the guitar. "Be you when playing, not someone else"
Pure beauty. He made that guitar sing.
Just outstanding Marty, so beautiful.
I've always found his unorthodox picking style absolutely fascinating. He rarely ever mutes with his palm.
I feel like Marty's playing is the exact opposite of the blues sometimes.. I can dig it.
his right hand just confuses the hell out of me lol
haha i actually got to asked him that question in his clinics. he mentioned that reason why is not because he started picking like that, when he first started or anything its actually because he prefers the notes to ring rather than palm mute , the only time he palm mutes is when he's riffing and when he does his vibratos, he mutes and use a finger to flick his bends
That's the ideea!
My favorite weaboo
a heavy metal weaboo...
lol same here. But i don't think you can call a guy who lives in Japan, married a Japanese woman and speaks the language fluently a weeaboo. Maybe me but not Marty
sorry wath's weaboo? jiji
what"s a weeaboo?
a weeaboo is a slang Word for someone who loves annime and is obsessed With Japanese culture.
That’s just one of the most beautiful guitar I’ve ever seen
80s rock guitar player always use their hair to mute the string instead using their palm
Rising Force hahahaha
Hahaha someday people may mute with dick

It just his feels, impeccable.
Marty! My favorite guitar player.. he is the man.
Marty friedman exotic scale and strings bends is unmistakable he's one of the best guitar player
Very nice playing look so much more
Am I the only one who loves his tone here?
i love his tone
Nop
He sounds awesome ... as expected
I don't like that scooped tone at all, but he is wonderful.
@@mido3onthewayI don’t know what effect he is using, but it wasn’t necessary. I would have preferred he went totally clean. His playing was great.
You know its Marty the first note he's picking
He has been working with Jason Becker, so they imprinted on each other, you can hear it on their solo albums.
@@striveforsuccessstudysmart3509 u can still always hear whos who tho
That bending is from another dimension!
when you play with feeling it's always going to sound beautiful...

Oh my god, this was so emotional :O He speaking Japanese confused me tho, is he a full-blooded Japanese guitarist now?
He has been for a long time. He's lived in japan for many years and has released some of his solo albums almost exclusively in Japan.
+Monstexitus he is full-blooded weaboo guitarist now,
but I like it
