Yes, as long as the die has mirror symmetry along its central vertical axis. All of my snow globe dies do, but I have never tried a flip card with any of them. Easy way to tell if a die will work for a flip card is to cut out the shape and fold it in half vertically. If the halves align perfectly you can make a flip card with that die. Your idea is clever.
When you make a purchase before Jennifer shows you how much you need it… heart bursts with crafty cravings and excitement. Missing bedtime for a Jennifer video is totally worth tomorrow’s sleepiness. Love these cards and technique. #collectingcraftproductsisahobbyinitself
I don't know how you do it, sweet Jennifer! You are a card creating Queen!! Your ideas are endless! And...I have the mandala die set. Now I know what I want to create with it! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents with us! Hugs 💕~Suzy
Clear, easy-to-follow instructions, as usual, and WOW! chapter choices!!! I don't know when you added this feature, Jennifer, since I've got a backlog of your videos to watch, but it's going to be a huge help when I need double-check specific instructions for a particular type of card. I hope other cardmakers with UA-cam channels take note and start providing chapter links for their videos, too.
Today is a great day because despite it being 6.15am in the UK, it has started with a Jennifer McGuire video! Thank you for your constant inspiration - this is a great technique and I'm going to give it a try!
I love this. I don't have any scene stamps but I have tons of florals that would be super pretty inside. Also I don't know who has been doing your nails or if you're just super awesome at that too but your nails have been totally amazing the past numerous videos.
Beautiful cards as always! I love that you show how to take our simple cards, up one notch! Thank you, for sharing your gift! The craft world is blessed to have you! 💗💗💗
Love these cards. I just saw you on Gina K’s live today and I must be living under a rock because I hadn’t heard of you before. I’m looking forward to watching your videos.
Jennifer I have followed you for years. I’d like to thank you for your inspiration, clarity and your calm. What a gift you send out. You have never faltered from your teachings. Such a constant with impeccable taste. Have a great day. Love from bonnie Scotland. X
Both of these are so effective and as you say look much more complicated to make than you make them look. I really must try them and have a good look at the lovely dies which you have used.
Hi Jennifer, I am a new subscriber. I love this card! You have given me so much inspiration from your tutorials. Thank you so much for sharing your talents.
I tried this last night and it worked! ha ha My first flip card. :D If anyone else out there spazzes on measuring, I found that if I go ahead and cut my 'decorative' top panel first and glue it on the left, that is my 2 1/8th measure. I was having a hard time getting my circle panel to line up correctly with my card base. This eliminated a step for me and helped me make sure my patterned paper was aligned. I have a hard time with that for some reason.
These are ADORABLE cards Jennifer!!!! Thank you sooooo much for bringing them back again! You have made them look sooooo easy to do, I just might have to try one! lol
Beautiful cards Jennifer! I love the unicorn scene card so much. The colors are so well picked and the details.... Perfect. The stitched one, I only can say wow! The see through card base is very interesting. I admire your patience for stitching. I really do. Love these flip-cards. And I do gonna use this idea for Christmas cards to my grandchildren. Thank you for all your inspiring videos.
Thanks for sharing your creativity and talent with us. You never cease to amaze with every tip and techniques. I’m sure your tired of hearing this, but it’s very true. Thank you Jennifer.
I love creating flip cards; they are so easy to make and really show well. Thanks for showing your versions and for the many helpful tips along the way.
I actually have a die that precuts the circle flip card, but I love the idea of being able to do this with ANY die shape I have. Thanks for all the great info!
Oh my wow 🤩 I absolutely loved 🥰 these cards too. I love how you created a flip it card with a circle without using dies. I am definitely going to give this a try.
Thanks again for sharing not only your fun techniques but also crafty inspiration 💗! Loved seeing that new Clearly Besotted Stamptember stamp set in action, I went ahead and order it while watching your video ☺️. Can’t wait to play it soon!
This is so incredible!! Thank you for teaching us all these fun fold techniques and many other things along the way!! Not only is this fun but it’s so beautifully done!! ❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this design. You just took so much weight off of my thought process for my Christmas cards this year. That cut edge would be so cute with a snowman! Also, the card you did with Tim Holtz’s santa sleigh set is AMAZING! I appreciate you sharing your genius creations. Thank you SO much. 👏🏻🙏🏻💖🎄
Nice job Jennifer! Lovely as always 💓 I love the second card! It can be done with vellum if you don't have dies like that, it can be with a Christmas tree... the possibilities are endless! You got my gears rolling, I really should make some Christmas cards this year!
Very creative and beautiful. I had a couple of older dies that popped into mind as I watched this and I think I'll give those a try with this technique to begin with! Thank you!
These cards are amazing! I love the options for that key image too because we can use a circle die literally on any stamp design that fits it!! Makes me all giggly! 🤗❤️❣️
Jenn, I just tried my first flip card for my Mom's birthday. It came out adorable, but it took me 3 hours🙀 Im sure Mom will love it. Please tell me they get easier and faster once you do several of them!!!
How precious are these cards. I would have such an amazing time if we could meet in person. So much wisdom in card making, it's amazing your talent my dear. ☺️
These cards are awesome! Thank you Jennifer for you time and inspiration. I think I’ve finally found my Christmas card! I have a snowflake die I’ve had for a couple of years and I think this is the year to use it. I may make it removable, an idea from one of your older videos. So, thank you again for all you do. We watch and remember!
I recently created a faux stained glass element (inspired by one of your videos from a few weeks ago). I think I will use it as the focal point on a flip card similar to what you created for this video. I love to mix and match ideas & you've inspired me once again.
Now I might need to get the piercing plate! Love the cards!!!💖💌💖💌
Beautiful, thank you! Anna UK. 👍👍👍❤️
I can not believe you have a hard time doing anything. You are good at every thing.
These are too cute and gorgeous for words...you have amazing talents!
I wonder if a snow globe would work as a flip/shaker card combined?!?!
Loved this one so much that I came back to watch it again. 😂 Maybe someday I'll actually make one of these instead of just watching the video. 🤷♀️
