Interview by Pierre Gutiérrez
Former Korn drummer talks about his last album with the band: See You on the Other Side, his relationship with former bandmates and his current group Breaking in a Sequence.
Editor: Luis Rivas
David is a legend man those first three albums set the path for many to come and his beats were such a huge part of that band they would have not been Korn with out him.
Totally agree man! Please suscribe and hit the bell. More interviews in the way!
Yes! Korn influenced all bands at that time.
Korn was never the same after he left.
@Janoy Cresva you're right, they're a hell of a lot better.
@roadwarrior7564 how??
It's wild how important he is to music and no one ever gives him the props he deserves
Amazing drummer but not so bright. He had the world by the balls and walked away. Then years later after failure with other bands, he wants to come back? When the band says no he talks shit about them. I missed him from korn for sure but his choice
@Bluewater Diggers Yeah its kinda annoying, granted SYOTOS was programmed drums and the band seemed to start to take the direction of "Here is what Jonathan wants to do" , and Jonathan just works with the producer directly while the band then fill in especially on Untitled and TPOT. Fieldy and Ray kinda are like backup characters almost
I dont think David cares either way...probably bc his legacy speaks for itself. The dude is and will always be a drum god to me. But then his rockstar holier than thou attitude is what led to his downfall.....for example, looking back in disdain and scoffing at what were his humble beginnings in LAPD, that shows he doesn't have an ounce of self respect or maturity one should have as an accomplished musician, which he is...but lacks any sense of intrspection in order to stay consistent their careers. .instead they refuse to accept things as they are with regards to their past, and continue to live in self denial. Everything happens for a reason. It was actually pretty stellar musiucianship for how young he was. I guess hes just not in the right frame of mind to talk about that...perhaps feeling insecure due to some kinda inferiority complex he now has with all the comparisons being made to Korn in past tense. But thats not right..I dont even think he has any genuine interest left in music at this point, as you can make out from the shitty cookie cutter bands he's been playing with. Its exactly due to this type of mentality, he doesnt seem to be too grateful for all the exposure he had to music and the people he got to work with......ultimately losing all his original influences after letting fame get to his head....and now doesn't even have half the ability he once possessed. Its always pride before the fall.
David was made for KoRn, his drumming is straight up groove and never overplayed. Ray's a professional drummer who's playing doesn't sit well with KoRn and changes the entire sound of what the band is. Ray's drumming is very overplayed and over technical, but very professional. Breaking In A Sequence is the best new band that I've heard in a long time, I'm glad that I discovered them and get to hear David's grooves again.
Yeah man. BIAS is a cool band. Looking forward the new album
David is my all-time favorite drummer. I love his hard hitting style and groove.
Yeah he is awesome!
David being a jazz drummer instead of a metal style drummer was as big of a part of koRn's signature sound as anyone. The band haven't been able to capture that sound without him
Ray is great but you are totally right!
Very well said. He brought a different element to the band, and helped separate them from the generic other bands around them. They haven’t sounded quite as tight without him, though Ray does a fine job.
Agreed. I noticed when head returned, korn's music definitely took a step back in the right direction, but its still missing something. That something being David. Their music now just really seems to have this feeling of being forced or something. Its like its generic. I have a hard time finding anything that really stands out. But if I fire up some of korns pre-2004 music, its like every song has its own appeal and character and originality.
@Garrett Roberts exactly
Whoop whoop
He does a lot of unusual, deep, unconventional, and ghost-note work in his beats. Very inventive drummer.
You are so right!! David's drumming is very weird but on point!
David is so right about See You On The Other Side. But David's drumming on the first two Korn albums is insanely good.
I would not be playing drums if it wasn't for David. His energy made me think, maybe playing an instrument can be as fun as he makes it look.
David is basically a fusion drummer who found his way into a metal band
He's amazingly talented it's too bad things got so crazy.
I humbly admit that I don't understand much about drumming (the technical terminology of certain playing styles and stuff like that) but recently I always go back to Swallow from Life Is Peachy because what David did at the end (not the "punk ass sissy I'm a freak" part, way before that) was just pure awesomeness. He sped up the patterns of the drumming in a way that completely complimented the song. Somebody Someone, Beg For Me, Did My Time, Embrace, Freak On A Leash, Twist, Good God, Faget (a song that even David admits has given him "trouble" replicating the pattern during live performances because he overdid his creativity for that song or something like that, I don't want to put word in the man's mouth... it would be disrespectful. The man's music saved my life in many ways.), his whole performance in Issues... I mean pun intended Good God the man is good!!! Wish him all the best, his new band members well too and the fellas from Korn too!
To me, KoRn in their prime and irrefutably the best albums in whatever order you put em are any and only any of the ones from 94-03. KoRn, Follow The Leader, Life Is Peachy, Take a Look in the mirror, Issues, and Untouchables for me personally.
Korn's golden era for sure!
Great interview! I’ll keep an eye on this band and David. See you on the other side was the last physical Korn release I bought. It rocks. 🤘
Thanks a lot brother! Please suscribe and hit the bell. More videos in the way!!!
Thanks for posting this interview. Love hearing from David and BIAS. Still hoping for the original korn reunion one day. Until then, I'll enjoy the present moment
You are welcome, sir. I agree, it is All about enjoying the present. Thanks for watching! Make sure to suscribe. Cheers!
We would get a reunion if Korn gets in the R-n-R Hall of fame, which should be a foregone conclusion.
Always gonna love David's drumming 🤘🏽
That's why I like your interviews because you have the balls to ask the real questions that the fans want to hear even if musicians get annoyed. Thanks for asking these type of questions!
Thanks a lot man!! Yeah that's my thing, I'm glad you noticed. Please make sure to watch all my interviews, this one with David is over a year old.
I'm a Kornfan since many many Years. I love David when he was a part of this Band he was a amazing Drummer. But after all this time i'm scared how he looks very broken and drawn. I love Korn and I love Ray. He's also a badass Drummer. I wish David all the best for his Future and his new Band 🙏 And every band changes their style and tries out new things musically. No reason to shoot Korn like that in the comments. Nobody knows what really happened back then, everyone said something different. I don't care anymore and I don't have to get David ready for what?
Hello How are you?
I love David, but hes clearly been hitting the steroids. He has a deeper voice, swollen face, and he's huge. I hope he can find his health and get off of them. One of my favorite drummers of all time though.
SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE WAS AN AMAZING ALBUM I LISTEN TO IT EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Amen to that. A lot of people say they don't like it but it is my #1 favorite Korn album. It's creepy, funky, atmospheric, and heavy at the same time.
Always will love David from bottom of my HEART..when I was 17 listening to them im 42 now..i went to all Kat fest with them throughout the 90s and remember the sick and twisted tour with staind before that...metal would not be what it is without his influence..along with R.A.M..limp brisket ,seven dust ,all them ..but yeah Ray is the man now....he js a Beast ...but your a legend david much love and respect
Legendary drummer for sure! Thanks for watching, please suscribe!
Korn is Jonathan Davis. At least to me. They could leave every member except Jon Davis and I wouldn’t feel any different about it. Love his solo album. David is a badass. I prefer him over ray on morn albums. But it’s Jonathan Davis and his emotions that make or break it for me
To be fair ,korn may have gotten a better drummer, but originality will always prevail for me,that's why david will always be my favourite out of the two
That is a very valid point, sir.
@ROCK TALKS thats like saying a game with a bunch of bugs is better than a polished game with fewer games, because it's original and not better
@TheWoodyDudez basically David is an artist. And he was very original and pushed metal to new heights. That means more than being just technically good at an instrument.
trying to wrap my head around not being interested in even listening to at least 1 whole song since leaving a band, especially one as relevant and influential as KoRn. i'd personally want to hear what my brothers were up to without me, as well as what ideas the person who replaced me brought to the table...ESPECIALLY if there really was no bad blood or grudges as he's saying here...
I wish David lots of success and I hope financially he's okay.
Haha dude, he is set for life just with the Korn royalties.
Very unique drummer. Ray is great too but I miss David’s funkiness
AMEN to that.
great interview can't wait to see them live
Thanks a lot!!! Please suscribe. More interviews in the way! Check my whole channel!
@ROCK TALKS Same as well! Go check our latest single.
David is really getting up to his best again
I love all of Korn's music, and I like Ray Luzier, but David was a G.O.A.T.
G.O.A.T.? What is that?
@ROCK TALKS greatest of all time.
"Was" .. he would never be able to compare to ray anymore...
@user1986 🤷♂️we disagree . Just curious do you prefer Korn music with Ray more than their early work?
David was the youngest member of Korn and looks the oldest… We miss you David. Wish things were different…
Great quetions, specially the one that what would happen if he cross paths with Korn at a festival, his answer brought a big smile on my face! and you made a great move when you asked him if he have listened to Korn's newest albums, mentioning that he gave the same answer as Max Cavalera did when you asked him the same question.
All around a great interview, love the vibes the band has and hopefully they come to Peru/Southamerica soon.
Have a great one Rock Talks keep up this great work!
Thanks a lot! I wanted to ask so many questions about Korn but I had to choose only a couple and I think those were the most important ones. Im glad you agree. Please feel free to check out all my other interviews in this channel and in my facebook page (sección Fotos). I already did more than 60 rock/metal interviews. Cheers!
@ROCK TALKS Those were indeed crucial. I'll check them out for sure. Cheers!
I think Ray and David are both good! Both drummers have really made Korn awesome!just two different styles of Korn
Totally agree!
Korn ain't korn without David's funky groove beats period!!
I love Korn,an David was a huge part of that. He looks like he just woke up here though, rough night.
He looks healthy to me
he's obviously drunk here - some things don't change.
He's looked juiced up and unhealthy for like 10 years now.
D Wade
🎶 Love this also seen them in Concert they also did free concerts for our Troops
@Shelly 🍁 ive seen them 3 times..Jersey,Virginia an Maryland...one of my top favs! Im in Md...what area u see them in?
I didn't believe David about not listening and not having hard feelings the first time I saw it, but now watching the full interview and seeing that part a second time, I totally believe him.
The importance of watching the full interview and not just the dirt lol. Cheers brother! Thanks for watching, please suscribe! More videos in the way!
@ROCK TALKS im not actually a big rocker, bit im gonna subscribe, just because you responded to my comment, cheers.
Who cares what he looks like.......he put together one of the best drumming albums with Korn and after he left the sound of Korn sucks except a few jems. Thank you Dave for being one of the most influential drummers and all the bad ass music you've made. Wish you the best!
Ride on David. All the best brother with the new band
the ONLY drumer of KoЯn !!!!
Nice video! I miss david for being a drummer on korn he is such a beast on live performance, btw what's the intro song?
It's BIAS first single. Check it out!
ua-cam.com/video/Ch3cq4jImEs/v-deo.html
Ehh.... listen to his drumming in the last 10 years or so, especially with Core 10. It's just not there anymore
Man, Dave has seen better days. Like night and day. Staying in Korn would have kept him young. The other guys still have their form.
Well Head had to leave Korn or else he would’ve died from drug abuse, plus David blamed the band for his addictions, so I don’t think he would’ve looked younger being with Korn doing all that meth
16:00 I’m sad that they butchered his samples. His original is amazing and rich IMO. If that’s true of course but I’m hopeful as always for David.
Thanks for watching. Please share and suscribe!
Man david, your hilarious. Love ur interview, im glad I can still listen
Thanks for the props! Please share and suscribe!
Gracias por la entrevista Man! Lamentablemente David pareciera no tener ningún interés con KoRn, a seguir esperando!
Muchas gracias a ti x verla! Por favor comparte y date una vuelta x mi canal. Tengo muchas entrevistas
Dude is great at interviewing 👍
Thank you so much bro. Please feel free to watch all my interviews and share the ones you like the most.
The people that don't care for Ray Luzier being Korn's drummer, probably aren't musicians themselves and only want David back for the nostalgic factor. He was sort of toxic for the band. He had his place and made his mark with the earlier music, but Ray is an all-around more talented drummer and really cool guy. He's brought a freshness to the band, which they needed.
It's sad to see a guy who was in such a well known band, bump down to making music with such subpar garage/bar bands, though.
Better technically but the groove is more important to me which David used to have, because nowadays he sound very flat!
Agree. Thanks for watching. Please share, suscribe and make sure to watch more interviews in my channel!
100% Agree with this. Not to put David down, because in his prime he was literally untouchable when it comes to groovy heavy nu metal drumming, BUT he lost that swagger along the years and if he ever would come back it would not suddenly sound the same. The band's sound has moved on and David isn't up to the task anymore.
I always found it amazing how David's image clashed so much with the rest of the guys in Korn back in the day. 4/5th's of Korn were these grungy, homeless looking dudes with dreads and then David was literally a male model. He was the youngest in the band so maybe that naturally made him an outcast. Sometimes as a fan you just gotta sit and wonder how Korn would've ended up today if all the original members stayed together. What could've been if Head didn't get so messed up on drugs and David didn't mess up his wrist in that accident that greatly effected his drumming.
YESSS
@Miss Chicka That's not what happened at all, you're filling in a lot of blanks with your own imagination. David himself has said his wrist injury affected him and made him adjust his style as to not aggravate it. He is not the same drummer he was back in Korn's earlier days before the injury, not even close. He's still decent but not like what he was, he very much simplified his style. He was not fired from Korn either, he left after he became distant from the rest of the members of the band as he was healing from a back injury. The fire was lost and he decided not to go back to Korn once he healed. He is also on record saying this.
David wasn't the one leaving that really affected Korn's sound, it was Head leaving that really destroyed them and their unique sound. They weren't Korn without him, they sounded like a side-project. The moment he reentered the fold, the classic, signature Korn sound immediately came back. It was like magic. Whereas if David were to return, it wouldn't be so drastic because Ray is no slouch and is a more technically gifted drummer than David especially now. If you think the stuff David's doing in BIAS is anything remotely as good as the stuff he did in the early Korn days than you don't know anything about drumming.
@losferwords100 Alot of words and alot of bullshit. Korns sound did not come back with head , it was a step in the right direction but without David. Korn is just another generic sounding numetal band.
@losferwords100 he didn't tone his drumming down. he HAD to tone it down because the producers told him to tone it down. korn stopped writing music as a band.
Miss you David, wish you the best of luck in your future.
Thanks for the good vibes!
I hope the best for him
I was like “ what the hell happened to you David?” Than I seen him take a drink of that big Red Bull
That is actually a Michelob Ultra beer
Haha that’s a beer dawg.
awesome interview fan of Bias looking forward to 2021!
Thanks man! I have more interviews in the way. Please suscribe!
Damn you can really tell he regrets his decision. I miss David's drum work. The push/pull, funky, jazz style. Around Untouchables they started using clicks and you can really tell!
Totally agree!
Korns last 3 albums since head has been back are fucking heavy and amazing. I love you david but you are allowed to smile.
I just listened to the one from 2016 I had for years haven't listened to it since and it's stale as fuck. I still bump the first 6 albums heavy though
@themadrapper101 their newest one from 2019 is good, and they made a cover of would? like 2 months ago and it is heavy and very good
@Walpurgisnacht9 the nothing was awesome
@Walpurgisnacht9 Never heard it yet. I was a dedicated fan to the new releases up until that 2011 album when it was basically techno..Path of Totality I liked even that album that's just where I stopped I have all the albums before that and the 2016 one
These are good questions. I wish I could know more about what happened with David and Korn. For years I never knew really what happened with him. I still don't really know it seems.
Thanks a lot, bro. Please share. BTW David and JD talked about the split in other interviews. Basically David asked for some time off after the touring cycle for SYOTOS. The band was ok with that, they did the Unplugged show and then when they started to write the next álbum David simply didnt answer Korn's phone calls ANYMORE. They had to move on. A few months go in a podcast with ExMan David said there was miscomunication within bothsides and he had some back problems back then (2006 I suppose)
Not the whole story
@Bone Apple Tea please tell me what you Know
@Bone Apple Tea oh yeah, I remember that. Good point.
I think dave regrets leaving korn seeing how well they did without him
Good? Name one song that is good after 2006?
@eto ti ga sad just cause you were an original member doesnt mean you were the best
@the senate hahaha. Is it you Ray?
@eto ti ga sad Lol I love David, but Ray is so much better.
Haha I love how as soon as the interviewer changed the topic to Korn everyone else gapped “well I guess it’s time for a beer” “ah yeah toilet break” 😹😹😹
hahaha yeah I remember that. Thanks for watching, please subscribe and share :)
Its kind of sad because you can tell he misses being in korn
I think he misses the money. Jonathan Davis said he noticed that after the first two albums his passion seemed to have gone. Plus, he couldn't be in the same room as Feildy so I doubt the band want him back.
@ProductofNZ do your research please. you think that's the reason? he talked about the reason in this very video too. the band went in a strange place where producers wrote for them and told them what to do. they basically toned down silverias style of playing. i can totally understand why he left
@w m I'm not making that stuff up. The other Korn dudes have been quoted as saying so. Why did David ask to come back into the band a year before Head rejoined if he hated their new music? He said himself that he hasn't listened to anything they made after he left. Why did he sue Korn for royalties and then try and steal streaming revenue after he signed a contract to relinquish his rights to the music?? (Which Korn sued him for) it's all reported dude.
Much love to Dave!!
They should do a korn cover live
That sounds like a good idea! Thanks for watching, please suscribe!
Last time I heard from David, he was an alcoholic with a grudge against Korn. Sounds like he's bitter he left. That sucks because he brought a lot to Korn. They don't need him, but he really helped create their sound.
True. He really shut the door for good himself by acting like a fool unfortunately. At first the door was still open for him when he left, but the rest of the guys could not keep guessing and secured Ray instead.
My view changed on Korn as people for not letting the original drummer back in.. The new dude from 2007 is alright but the first 6 or 7 albums of Korn will always be the best. David was apart of the most classic era of Korn and that will forever be their prime and best work.
Thanks for watching. Please share, suscribe and make sure to watch more interviews in my channel!
Ray is alright? He’s light years ahead of Dave. They become a better band.
Remember that at first David did not want back when the door was still open for him. Then when they locked in with Ray, he then suddenly crawled out of a cave and started spewing shit against the other guys when they wouldn't immediately let him in. He himself is in fault for burning the bridgers and closing that door, but he seems to be more in peace now.
@NorthTimo He didn't want to cone back until they let Head back in when not too long before that Head and David had met up and Head told him he would never rejoin. Time will make people want to come back or change their minds. David was with the group for the first 7 albums he has all those memories to sit on.
I’m with David on Korn. I was a diehard fan as a kid man. The first two albums are magic and David was the heart of that. I don’t really give a shit what anyone else thinks so doubt anyone cares what I do. But Korn has sucked since Follow the leader.. beyond that they ran out of ideas so just kept making the same bullshit over and over and over.
great interview, thank you!
Thanks for watching. Please suscribe and hit the bell button. More interviews in the way!
Dave's a legend. So sad he looks like THE SITUATION from Jersey Shore now.
Lol...very true. Where’s Snookie?
Everyone thats like “David looks weird now” just remember that slamming beers for a good 30 plus years does this to people.
Finally a smart comment.
bruh didnt he abuse steroids as well or is that a rumor? not that its anyone's business LOL everyone shooting down the poor dude for reasons that they know nothing about...
@Mahathi Adapa of course so
@Mahathi Adapa yeaaa probably bro. But fuck, I miss David so damn much. Ray is a fire drummer but he has zero of that OG Korn groove. I fucking hope to god someday they can all come together with Dave again. Who knows.
@Sloedwn David can’t play like he used to. He’s way too beefed up and stiff now and It would actually be sort of detrimental if he came back to Korn. Listen to his more recent work. He can’t play well anymoe
They should just drop a 12 song album right now and leave the rest for an EP or second album imo.
They released an EP with 6 songs like 10 days ago.
4 first albums are masterpieces. Untouchables is great,TALIT and SYOTHS are good. Then, its just average music, they lost their magic stuff.
that's like the first time i've seen someone get it right about korn in the comments. i'd just have a category right after 'masterpieces' called 'very good' and I would put untouchables in that and keep TALITM and SYOTHS in 'good' category. Everything from 2006-2016 was not that interesting. The 2016 record was a bit better but not there. However, The Nothing, I think is there best stuff untouchables. I think The Nothing could be in the same category as Untouchables.
Thanks for watching. Please share and suscribe!
David looks like a shop teacher going through a rough divorce and living in a van down by the river.
Living off government cheese
I'm crying!!!😂😂😂😂 Shameful, but, yes I laughed until I cried reading this plus the other two before mines. The imagery, oooh the imagery.
_NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST_ And that means what? 🤔
_NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST_ Thing is, if you look up you’ll see the joke going right over your head.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
See you on the other side is my 3rd favorite of KoRn
When they get invited into the R’R HOF they’re gonna have to face each other, bc he’s the drummer of Korn’s major albums!
That's a possibility!
You’ve got an interesting interviewing style with all these uncomfortable questions! Would be great to see Igor Cavalera at your show!
Thanks for the props! Actually I did interviewed Iggor Cavalera twice. One of them is in this channel. Look it up! Please suscribe!
Good interviewer! Not afraid to ask awkward questions 👍
Thanks a lot, bro. Please feel free to watch all my interviews. Tons of awkward questions there too 😁
I miss David in Korn. My favorite player in Korn.
Wonder if he still hangs out with Tommy Lee?
Yeah, sometimes I miss his groove in the band too.
I think they should just stick with "BIAS" as the name...Spelling it out seems unnecessary. But overall I'm impressed with the sound, the quality of the vocals and the attitude of the band members. They seem cohesive and driven. Very cool interview. David looks great for his age.
Totally agree with you man!
Dude, my favorite drummer ever has turned into the Hulk. Get these plays on CD bro so you can take my money already! #Kornfuckedup
Thanks for watching. Please share, suscribe and make sure to watch more interviews in my channel!
This new Sequence band that he’s in now is I guess the most complete unit sounding band he’s been in since Korn. Since Korn He’s made a few mistakes releasing some pretty bad stuff with some very unestablished bands. But at least these guys are a little less “thrown together” sounding.
Totally agree!!
David Silveria if you read this just know that Korn ain't shit without you. Korn is not a band that can switch out members. It's comparable to the doors trying to pull off "other voices" when Jim Morrison died. I haven't heard a full Korn song since you left the band either. KORNS MAGIC IS DEAD WITHOUT ALL 5 ORIGINAL MEMBERS!!!!
What a load of rubbish
David still sounds like hes in his twenties by talking but just looks rough. I remember pictures where his head was the smallest after or before the filming of the Make Me Bad video. I do love how Dave did joke about covering Mariah Carey XD
David is just readying his lines for after the interview. That man loves his coke and beer.
Sure as hell doesn’t look like he does coke. Coke headed are usually skinny.
Who doesn't
@WD113 ya not always true
Honestly, this interviewer was kissing David's ass a little too much. Korn didn't stop getting Platinum certifications ONLY because David left. Their sales were anyways coming down along with so many other bands from that Nu Metal era. Also, Korn won back a lot of fans with The Serenity of Suffering and The Nothing.
Sure, Ray Luzier doesn't have many of the grooves that Silveria would bring into Korn, but he has his own style, and I'm really digging Ray as a drummer for Korn now, especially from Serenity of Suffering onwards.
Korn has always been a very, very experimental, brave band. Always trying to mix the old with the new! And they still continue to do that, though there are hits and misses. See You On The Other Side was them really trying to be Industrial, and it mostly worked in my opinion, and also gave them their most popular singles on the Hot 100. So they did something right I guess, while still being their heavy, Korn selves.
This so much. David wasn't the secret to the success, he was a big part of the early days and in his prime he was a beast for sure. But the decline in popularity is something that has happened overall for heavy music for all the bands. And besides Korn is still HUGE and they're trending in Tiktok and other social media platforms among the new generation of kids.
"I don't hold any grudges or whatever, but if a song comes on I instantly turn it off"...yeah man, no grudges at all. If he would be a grown up man he would have no problem with that and be able to reconnect with the guys. David didn't age mentally after joining KoRn...sad.
Maybe he turns it off because it's just not good? He should rejoin KoRn though.
@A 14 yeah maybe, but it's hard to believe for me because if I would have been through so much stuff with these guys I would definitely would want to know what they are up to.
@A 14 He should NOT join Korn lol. His drumming is horrible now days, dude. Ray blows David out of the water. David had his place in earlier Korn albums, but he was sort of toxic.
I avoid my ex but I don't hold a grudge. It still hurts.
Dave’s not being 100% honest about listening to KoRn’s Music after he left. Because he’s talked about Ray’s drumming in other interviews. How does he know about the new drummer’s playing if he’s never listen to them?
Maybe he meant Ray's Live drumming. He said something about the lack of grooving
He’s got his old voice back wtf
Damn time had not been good to David. He must've sunk deep into some kind of depression.
and steroids
It just feels like he did alot when he was in korn now it feels like he has to start all over again but you know what they say start from the bottom to get to the top then again musicians are always switching band members and trying something new
But he was in a top band, and now with the bands he plays for, they're bascically bar bands... Idk if I was in his position, I could back to that level of playing again with unknowns.
It's nice that he didn't refuse to answer the questions about Korn but it's pretty obvious to see that he's uneasy answering them
Yeah. That's why I didn't ask more questions about Korn.
But he and Arnel Pineda didn't use a brain cell in talking about other bands. Trash talking... karma.
You totally have it wrong man, Infact check out the Talk Toomey interview he did. I even made a comment the opposite yours saying how freaking gracious he was with all the Koran stories! I will say he does look “off” these days... check it out!
@ROCK TALKS I know it can be hard to pick questions. But, I was hoping you would have asked David if he saw the Krazy Love Documentary and especially how he felt about Brian returning to Korn. And also about Brian getting sober.
That is a valid question. Maybe next time! Thanks for watching and commenting. Please suscribe and hit the bell! More videos in the way!
I have read that he was bitter when they let Head back in but did not let him at the same time.
David looks like my uncle!!! Legend though.
I loved "see you in the other side" wtf??? ... David still plays good, just need some joggin, thrown away those proteins and vitamins shakes and rejoin that old friends to play that songs all of us will like forever...
Thanks for watching. Please share, suscribe and make sure to watch more interviews in my channel!
Thats one of their worst albums, in my opinion.
nice, but its time to buy some real good headphones or big old speakers... the last 3 albums are not even near to that album.
Also had them on DVD
David is the leader of this band
In BIAS?
David looks like a guy who lost everything after leaving Korn and his band hangs out in his moms basement now.
He still has a net of 20 mill
Wayne's World lol
@Buba A Korn wouldn't have been Korn without him . Ray kicks ass, but Dave
Was a part of so many good songs as well
@Aztec Whistle ehhh Ray is a dime a dozen drummer in my opinion, nothing really stands out that he does
and yet still way more successful than you....
Will have to check out BIAS right after this.
You can find them as "Breaking in a sequence" in all the platforms
@ROCK TALKS thank you for responding! Will do.
@Booger'sWorld thank you for watching! Please suscribe. More interviews in the way!
I believe all the members of Korn have been sober for sometime, and these guys are at leaste drinking, I wonder if it factors into his split from Korn.
David David I feel your pain sir
It really sucks that we will probably never see david back in korn and after letting head back in and him and fieldy being Christian you would think they would forgive and forget but I guess not
Just because they forgive him doesn’t mean they have to let him back in the band
Have you heard all the shit that went on between the band and David? The damage was already done so there wasn’t a point in him being with korn anymore
@Alex Johnson ya that's true alex
honestly i think a lot of it is jon :/ head is really forgiving and fieldy might be too but i have a strong feeling that jon is calling all the shots, and they probably wouldn’t know what to do with ray even if he did come back. it would end up messy
David burned the bridges for Korn unfortunately.
His new band BIAS is actually quite good
It really is!
Man... this dude hasn't aged well lol almost didn't recognize him
I think they just had band practice right before the interview. Maybe thats why he looked like hang over lol
@ROCK TALKS lol maybe so but either way he just needs to hit the gym
Good to see he’s still playing but I wish he was still in korn
Ray Luzier is a much better drummer by far. David's drumming has gotten pretty awful in recent years.
Matt Campbell_Musician_Traveler Ray is good but he can’t play classic songs Korn now is Only a generic band
@Alfredo Ruvi If you heard David drumming now days, it's pretty god awful.
@The_Minimalistic_Adventurer more like lazy drumming
Honestly didn’t even think that was him initially
