The Rolex Submariner features a 40mm stainless steel case with an 18k yellow gold bezel surrounding a champagne serti dial on a stainless steel and 18k yellow gold Oyster bracelet with folding buckle. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds and date. The watch also measures 12.5mm in thickness and 47.9mm from lug-to-lug.

Note the condition and even tritium fade of this dial; it's the highlight of this example. I lime-tested the watch, and all elements that should be tritium - bezel, hands, and dial - are tritium.

I have a 16803. She’s my baby. There are more exquisite brands than Rolex, sure. But not many watches are more stunning that a blue dial two tone Submariner.

Rolex did a good job of enlarging the 40mm case for the latest variants. I've found that folks who can wear the older 40mm cases can wear the larger "Super Case" models that feature ceramic bezel inserts. Does yours feature the gloss blue (2009-12) or sunburst blue (13-present) dial?
