These are really just Enviro400, not even mmc. It uses the same euro 5 engine as the previous ‘non-facelift’ enviro400 (Cummins ISL8.9e5320B) with Voith DIWA 864.5 gearbox You’ve mentioned the body design, yeah, it is using the facelift design which are using in those enviro400 mmcs in the UK and enviro500 mmcs in Hong Kong. However, these Enviro400s is just Enviro400 chassis but with a ‘custom’ low-height facelift body By the way, the difference in between E400s and E500s can also be differentiate by the engine placement whether it is transversely mounted or longitudinal mounted respectively. In this case, these bus are 2-axle with transversely mounted engine. Also, as you mentioned weight limit in Hong Kong. Yes, there is a weight limit (Sorry, I don’t know much of the details), and the weight limit affects the use of passenger seats. These Enviro400s are using thin Lazzerini Pratico 3840 seats rather than normal Lazzerini Citylight seats in order to reduce weight
