Certina doesn't have a presence here in the USA. I like the look of this model. How does it compare to Longines and Tissot in quality? I prefer quartz, but most are cheap quality. I have a 39mm blue Longines quartz Hydroconquest. Thought this Podium might be nice in black. Tissot Gentleman quartz are inferior quality compared to the Powermatic 80 version.
Ive heard of a few countries where Certina is difficult to get hold of which is a shame as they have some pretty nice pieces, even here in the UK the choice is a bit limited compared to mainland Europe. Quality wise this particular one i would put above Tissot but not as good as Longines
Certina is a big brand here in Sweden and they certainly have some nice pieces that I would want in my collection. They usually are within a similar price range as Tissot which isn’t cheap but not super expensive either which I like. Nice review!👍🏼

This is a beautiful piece mate. Knocking on the door of VHP and Precisionist huh? Never knew this. I like this watch a lot. Nice pickup. That blue sunburst is stunning. The date at 6 o’clock is my favorite. Careful changing your dates mate. Typically want to change at the 6 o’clock. Looks a lot like a Longines Conquest but for much less.
Its a nice quality piece for sure, the time was just after midday so I was confident it was all good with a date change 😊 The sunburst dial is pretty striking in sunlight Agreed that there's some Longines conquest dna there. Thanks for the support as always bud! 🙏

I haven't had that watch in hand so difficult to really comment but what I will say is that I do think that generally Certina do make some very good watches & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them the build quality is excellent & they have some very interesting designs, also their development of the precidrive quartz movement is very impressive. This particular watch uses F07.412 (from ETA). Apart from being "precidrive" it's got also "heavydrive" technology. I hope it helps.
