You don't actually need a million for retirement, this is a wrong conception from many so called planner, insurance planner. It is all depend on what is your requirement during the period of retirement and what kind of expectation that you are looking forward. I had been retired for many years... the basic need is about 2K to 3k every month. I believe you should have some saving plus the payment from CPF retirement account, should have more than enough. So, not to worry too much, if you have too much of stress you may not even have a good healthy body, so how to retire? how to enjoy your $1 million retirement? Take care.
