- You know when you're swimming underwater and everything looks out of focus? Why is that? I mean, if I put on a mask then everything is clear. What's the difference?

i basically never opened my eyes underwater and i’ve always been near sighted

Some confusion about the anatomy of the eye (the cornea is not involved in focusing, actually)
If you have a mask on, wouldn't the light rays also bend when they come from the water medium to air?
