Stalking Oprah on Orcas + a VERY COLD Dive on the Prop!! [Making Our Way Ep 7]

In this episode we explore gorgeous East Sound, spot Oprah’s digs on Orcas Island, have ourselves a perfect downwind sail (we passed Oprah's house!), update our interior a bit, and check our prop for crab-pot damage in 47° water.

I used to live in the Pacific N.W. Lived on my Catalina 30, sailing on weekends. Scuba dived many locations but, I wore a 1/4-inch Farmer John wetsuit with hood, gloves and booties ! Still pretty cold, especially by the end of a 45 minute dive on tanks. It is surely good to have the capability to dive on your own boat; I always thought it would be good to have a small dive compressor and run a hookah system for hull inspections and cleaning. Nice video.

Awesome channel, guys! I live in Spokane with my wife and (older) kids and we’ve been sailing the big lakes over here for years on our 88’ Mac 26D. We’re planning on finding a good cruiser to do exactly what you’re doing once the brood is up and out of the house. There are so few videos of people sailing the Puget, let alone living aboard whilst cruising it and we’re so happy to have found you. It’s great to finally be able to watch someone navigate the area from our side,and your videos are very valuable to us in that way.
