Breaking out is considered to be an alternative ending to the Nightmare arc, because the girls are not only together, but Yoohyeon is complete again (there is a scene where two Yoohyeons turn into one). Of their Japanese releases, this is the least heavy in my book (which is not a bad thing). Also, JiU really lets her hair down here. 😉 🧀 Endless Night isn't even their heaviest song, which is "No More". 😉 But they are really going into Babymetal territory here. The lyrics speak about their struggles as Minx and how happy they are to be Dreamcatcher now! Especially when it was clear that Minx had failed, they were in a dark place, hoping for "one more chance", which their company provided, much to all our luck. It is a rare thing in K-Pop that a failed group gets another chance, but their CEO is like an uncle to them. He even said in an interview that the failure of Minx was on the company, not the girls. And that if Dreamcatcher failed as well, he would become a cucumber farmer to support the girls. That is unheard of in K-Pop.
Yalls reaction to Endless Night starting with that LOUD GUITAR is so real 😂 I look forward to seeing when yall do Because, and eventually into the B-side videos. I think, based on how yall are liking them so far, you have a fun journey ahead of you!
Not done with the video yet but!!! Omg, I’m so glad that you always felt affected by the Breaking Out MV because it always makes me cry! The VERY first time Dami and Handong reach each other and grasp hands I tear up every time 😂
The Happyface chandelier. It's a star that has appeared in a lot of their MVs. The full story of Dreamcatcher is like something you'd see in a Hollywood movie and never believe it was true. When Minx failed that should have been the end of them. Most Kpop groups fail and disband. Happyface CEO did something unheard of in Korean business circles. He put his company on the line for them. There was no money to launch Dreamcatcher especially with those two very expensive MVs, Chase Me and Good Night, and the talent needed to make them. He went to a huge multimedia company and agreed to give up control of Happyface and become a subsidiary of that company (ImagineAsia) in return for the money to create Dreamcatcher. He knew what he had in those amazing women and he sacrificed his dream for theirs. During the time when the deal was being arranged the Minx 5 didn't know about any of it. It had to be kept secret. They went through hell without knowing he was fighting for them. That's why Dreamcatcher Company is so different from all the other Kpop agencies and why they seem like a family.
JiU was the leader of Minx, responsible for the members as they were working hard but flopping, and the leader of Dreamcatcher gets the bridge, "Getting one more chance/at the edge of despair I siezed the future/I won't let it go". They have A LOT of songs about overcoming obstacles but Endless Night seems especially autobiographical all the way through. Dami "failure is success' base", Gahyeon starts "Remember it was such a waste of time", echoing the 2017 opinions that Dreamcatcher's concept couldn't work in kpop? Wolf Siyeon. There are multiple videos where nothing actually happens in the video... they just put Siyeon at the center of the screen and let her eyes anchor the audience (And There Was No One Left, Paradise).
Do you remember the kombucha girl meme from years back? That was everyone’s initial reaction to Breaking Out. They were a bit unsure/put off 🤔 with the tropical intro but when the guitar dropped and the chorus kicked in they were like 😳 oh! And I will never get tired of seeing everyone’s brain rebooting when that first note of Endless Night plays 🤯 😂 Yup, EN was released during Scream era when Dongie was away, which was also at the start of the pandemic, so that + distribution problems + and the saturation of rock music already in Japan is probably why they never took off in Japan. On the flipside, they actually survived and thrived during the pandemic whereas other groups faced disbandment. If that doesn’t show they deserve a place in kpop history, I don’t know what is.
Thank you for this reaction can't wait for the Eclipse album reaction or any other Dreamcatcher album reactions including the intros. Hope to see them soon. Thank you
Endless Night is the story of Dreamcatcher, their journey from the failure of Minx to the one more chance with Dreamcatcher then on to the top where they are now. The titles of several of their songs can be found in the lyrics.
The way you two pick up on the message in a Dreamcatcher MV is really quite impressive. You don't always get it 100% right (very few people do) but you usually pick up a lot more of the nuances than a lot of people do. And this time you nailed it. As you said, Endless Night is about overcoming adversity and not letting it stop you from going forward. And, yes, many think it's a reference to the failure of Minx and the rebuilding of the group as Dreamcatcher. Also as you said, Breaking out is an alternate ending for the Nightmare Series. As you see in the MV, they are separated at the start and over the course of the MV they work to overcome fate and bring the group back together. The difference here is that in Piri they all end up back in the nightmare but in Breaking Out it's assumed that they beat the curse and 'broke out' of the nightmare. Still loving your DC reactions. Keep them coming. Oh, and 🧀 #ifyouknowyouknow
DC single mvs you can check out before reason 1. R.o.S.E. blue: mv does not have lyrics and choreo, but higly reccomend checking out lyrics. - collab with mobile rpg gun cafe girl 2. Eclipse - japanese song for the anime opening for kings raid - yes its another kings raid collab just like deja vu! Hope you'll especially watch roseblue cuz there is a refrerence scene in the reason mv
Red string of fate is very real, especially considering all what had to happen for all 7 members to be in the same group, it's practically a miracle. They are all connected and bound by fate. Jiu even said that if she died and was reborn, she would make it her life's goal to find all her members again and reunite as Dreamcatcher. The best leader ever.
She wanted to take the path of idols . Fate gave Her the path of Legends , Destiney Blessed Her with : Power ⚡ , Magic ✨ , Flame 🔥 and Timeless Beauty 🌹. " She is and They are the first and always" , Legendary Dreamcatcher
Breaking out is my fav dc song. The mv is so simple but beautiful, the scene with Jiu and her hair is so arresting to me. The whole mv has such a strong atmosphere. And endless night just slaps. I love watching people react to it who think it not knowing what they are gonna get them being shook by the opening!
At the end of Piri they're together, but still lost in darkness. At the end of Breaking Out they're together in the light and in a circle. That scene always reminds me of the old Christian hymn, 'Will The Circle Be Unbroken'. Remember they are spirits trapped on the earthly plane by the curse. Now that they've freed themselves from the curse they can move on which, in Korean tradition, means ascending to the Afterlife which is basically a waiting room for rebirth into a new life. Hopefully they will meet each other again and stay away from spiders. Dreamcatcher themselves often talk about meeting again in their next life even though at least some of them are Christian. Traditional Korean beliefs about the nature of Heaven are still strong and have fused with mainstream Christian belief. The entire Nightmare story arc draws on elements of Korean and European mythology which, despite coming from opposite sides of the planet, are not that different.
Disbandment video got released using eras up until Deja Vu. So if you girls can't wait, you can push it and delay the other unchecked MVs later Also the drums at the outro actually simple movement from arms, but the fast pace sounds come from double pedal kick. Since it's hard to put it as choreo, I guess the choreographer matching the dp kicks towards arm movement instead.
@@NewChapterReactions The podcast duo "You Can't Stop Me Lovin' Kpop" did an episode specifically about wake-up alarm songs -- someone recommended Dreamcatcher's "Trap". 🤣 If you know, you know! Their reaction remains one of my favorite moments from any podcast. (❤ your reactions, as well.)

With all the great Siyeon moments we had since then, Siyeon in Breaking Out will always be special to me. I just love everything about how she looks, dances and her charisma in this video. In a way it's my favourite look from her, even though Odd Eye and the recent short red hair exist. Their japenese tracks deserve much more love in general! I recommend listening to 'Don't light my fire' in your own time, it's sounds like 2000s goth rock, very oldschool Nightwish.
Both your reactions when (Endless Night) starts (Priceless) I only wish more Insomnias would react to this one. Thank you (Too bad Handong was stock in China (Covid-19)
I can kinda understand why people say it's an alternate ending because at the end of PIRI they are all together but still stuck in the maze, and this song is called "Breaking Out" so maybe they did break out? But then at the end of this MV they are all holding hands but they're still between the red strings, so to me that's the exact same ending as PIRI just a re-telling of the same story, not a different ending. I just think in this MV the maze filled with their fears from PIRI was replaced with a more abstract maze represented by red strings. They did fight back to get to each other, but did they actually get out of the maze? But then again the song does seem more hopeful so who knows. Also I really love how the camera shakes to emphasise the impact of the dance moves in Breaking Out, it's really satisfying.
I felt the same way about Breaking Out, how it was a relief, and how they were together. I had become InSomnia by this point, had fallen in love and into everything they did, and to have them reach each other just felt so so good. That little 'gasp' you see Yoohyeon do as she catches hold of Sua's hand? Just...guh. Edited to add: 🧀
NIGHTMARE HAVE TO BE A SERIES OR MOVIE! Sorry about the capslock, but Nightmare series, like you said, watching from Chase Me, and then they all together in Breaking Out, makes me relief and happy sobbing. Finally, they escape from nightmare, even though this is alternative ending

In piri they find each other in the end so they can face their endless loop of nightmares together But in breaking out thanks to their combined strength they're able to overcome the nightmares and "break out of the dark night" The endless night choreo is awesome I recommend the dance practice! Their japanese songs are some of their most hard hitting like endless night, no more and eclipse
Great and fun reaction! You both made me appreciate Breaking Out even more and yes, Siyeon in that video…powerful. I hope you react to the Endless Night dance practice and relay dance. I think you’ll appreciate the song even more when you see how hard the choreo goes (I think it’s their best choreo to date).

It have a littler bit thing in "REASON" about full moon&over the sky.) And if knowing some information, like what are their lightstick and official robe look like, and knew their first win was under MAISON era since they are debut 1924 days, will be better.
Congratulations Bri & Tori on creating a new Dreamcatcher Mandela Effect! 🧀 Obviously the cheese here foreshadows the mouse-headed warrior at the beginning of "Maison". Protect your home and don't let the mice steal your cheese during the endless night! 🤭
As always great reaction from you guys As for Reason MV - it is a fan song for their 6th anniversary There was a fan made song by Insomnias to Dreamcatcher for their seventh anniversary and it is English song please REACT to it please
Now that you have watched the full Nightmare series, I will again give you a link to a full walk-through of it. The person who made it (SuA's SinB) did a LOT of extra research. ua-cam.com/video/F8I150_tRRI/v-deo.html Endless Night is so fun to hear. Double-time kick-drums, metal guitar riffs, and heavy bass.
I'm always so excited when I see that y'all have uploaded another Dreamcatcher reaction! This channel has quickly become one of my faves. Dreamcatcher is one of my ULT groups, so to see y'all enjoying them is awesome! Now we gotta get y'all into Mamamoo ❤ Also.... 🧀 🧀 🧀 😂
Oooh Mamamoo ... we ADORE Hwasa. We don't know much about the other members (sadly) but we do know one of their songs. Starry Night, I think? Hands-down one of my fav songs!!!
@NewChapterReactions If y'all ever have time and wanna get into a new GG, I would highly suggest them. They've been around for 10 years and have an extensive discography. So many genres. Also, each member has a very successful solo career (hense why you know Hwasa). Much of how Dreamcatcher is known as The Dark Angels of K-pop, Mamamoo are known as The Vocal Queens of K-pop.
🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 (iykyk 😏) I by no means want to derail your plans for future reactions, but I would like to (selfishly) request you eventually do a Sua day and watch the songs she’s choreographed like Red Sun and Demian, (two amazing b-sides) and the covers of Taki Taki and Copycat for example. Oh and if you’re down for it, watching you react to their entire discography would be amazing (it’s like enjoying good music with friends haha) Again, a bit selfish of me but I thought I’d put it out there 😅
Haha we have a lot of things we would like to do! Checking out side projects / choreos / covers are definitely things we'd like to see. So we might not get there immediately but we plan to eventually!
Now evry time endless night comes on my brain will go *slam* CHEESE🧀 Their Japanese releases are really something special so thanks for reacting! Also, breaking out healed something in me too after going through nightmare series. Ik what u mean 🧀
Thank you for the reaction! I’m so happy seeing your reactions to the Breaking Out MV, and I agree that seeing the nightmare series consecutively bring the feels (like being glad they overcame hardships). Endless Night is definitely an amazing song, that intro is just *chef’s kiss*, listening to it makes me think that our Sua is really amazing (that kick and those high notes are both high LOL). It is my second fave Japanese track from them (Eclipse being my #1). I’m a little curious if your album has arrived by now though. And what is your favorite title track so far? Idk if you have mentioned anything yet Oh! And! Happy Gahyeon Day! (02/03)
Hi, Bri and Tori I was just about to react to the same song you guys were just listening to and then came across You and Me by Bang Chan and Felix this song almost got me a heart attack my heart rate just warning for you guys this song so rip to you love you guys and also my birthday is coming up is on the Feb 19 a AI
👑❤️💎 Yes, please!!! Bri & Tori, there is a very strong, real-world, connection between Dreamcatcher & Rolling Quartz. RQ covered "Good Night" and their MV is an homage to DC. Both groups use the same video company, so you'll start recognizing the same sets, props, locations, etc. RQ's drummer gave lessons to Handong. (Still waiting 🙏 for the fruits of that interaction.) RQ loves DC. Similarly most (all?) Diadem are also InSomnia. (We desperately await the day when they have a proper collab &/or appear together on stage.) I could go on & on. I saw RQ in Seattle last May 2023 where they kicked-off their first (sold out, IIRC) US tour. Amazing! And they'll wrap-up their first European tour tomorrow (Feb 3, 2024) in Warsaw. Like Dreamcatcher, Rolling Quartz also has a great personal backstory. I think you'd really enjoy them!

One of the saddest things currently about Dreamcatcher is that they don't perform their Japanese tracks during concerts.
yeah because japan copyright is such pain in the ass.

The japan releases are so gooood
🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀 (iykyk 😏)
I by no means want to derail your plans for future reactions, but I would like to (selfishly) request you eventually do a Sua day and watch the songs she’s choreographed like Red Sun and Demian, (two amazing b-sides) and the covers of Taki Taki and Copycat for example.
Ik what u mean

🧀 Love your reactions!
Idk if you have mentioned anything yet
Oh! And! Happy Gahyeon Day! (02/03)
“Eclipse” is next 😉

Would you girls consider reacting to Rolling Quartz? (Korean girl band)
