I wish Burna had this exposure years ago... His very first works were my favorite. Especially his very first single. "like to party"
Eke Emmanuel always had the same feeling about burna like to party is a classic
You probably don’t know him since “wombolombo”
Eke Emmanuel Americans are always behind...Burna is fiya and always has been
This is a matured burna boy. he has grown in the last few years
Pshh firewood was a banger
Kudos to Ebro for doing research, and asking right questions.
Facts! He understands the distinctions in the cultures. The movement is strong!!
This isn’t his first interview with Burna.. Ebro been hip✊🏿
BROTHE DUDE IS SOO WELL READ AND EVERY QUESTION HE ASKS MAKES SENSE
Yeah unlike Charlagmane 🤦♂️🤣🤣
The deepness of his voice melts me. Honestly.
Rosemond Yeboah yessss 😍🤤
Rosemond Yeboah 😩😩
Burna is super talented and I respect his sincerity. His voice has more bass than my speakers at home. Africa is proud of you. Just try and speak out more.
Legba daniels 1 in the same bro. let’s not divide ourselves, we’ve been divided enough
😹
✅✅✅✅✅💯👊👍
Lol,...bros burna na home thearter
He’s finally getting the exposure he deserves. Have had his new album on repeat 💃🏿💃🏿🌚
Fire right?
African Giant is sooo lit!

I love you 😭
🙏🙏
Thanks 👍🏾
Thanks🙏🏾
"if you listen with your soul you will understand it"
Yes...
Nigerians living at home and abroad hit like.. 🇳🇬
The beautiful thing is BurnaBoy doesn't need this limelight to shine... he has been shinning for a long time, this fame is for us to enjoy him on a global scale ...
Am from Uganda | East Africa.
Smartest comment here😍😅 but for real though.... Burna has always and will always be a gem to us... This fame is just a plus 😍
I know right 🤣🤣
I'm from Uganda too! Africa Unite.
"Listen not with your ears, but with your SOUL"...sheesh!!!! I LOVE THIS YOUNG KING!!!! BLESS UP TO BURNA BOY!!!! ❣️❣️❣️
BURNABOY is currently the hottest artist in Africa 👑 ❤🙌
What about the collabs with David, Tekno right now on the Lion King soundtrack?
@@melblose5244 that's true
In the world
In the 🌎!!
When he said “that’s what the spirits bring to me” I feel in love with him even more! I FELT that! ♥️
Thank u, Ebro for not asking ignorant questions. Watching charlamane interview Burnaboy was so embarrassing
3eyegirl LOL
How was it embarrassing?
If he knows that he doesn't like to talk then what's the point of him doing interviews? Like the interviewer purpose is to ask question and the last time I checked there were 3 interviewers in the room so stop that corny bias blaming, his job is not to kiss burna boys ass. Smh
Hannah Waritay I’d have to agree with you.
I think it’s like the part of ur job that u hate but u have to do cuz it’s in the job description
I just love Burna the way he make us to be proud of being African. He's truly legend proud of making us proud as African
Ebros analogy was so on point. Many of us dont understand geo politics, effects of colonialism and globalisation. And we dont stay informed about issues in the correct way. And most of us are suffering economically and socially. U brought such a light to this. Great interview! Burna stay consistant! Love his music! And Stefflon Don! Fire! Keep spreading that knowledge!
Burna Boy is always a Man of Himself,he never changes for anything or anybody, Proud African #Team Burna for life 💯
Naija to the world 💪💪💪 if you are proud of BURNA BOY thumb up
👇👇👇
Honestly, Naija is really putting African music on the map. Congo was sweeping the francophone would but Naija is on a whole other level!
🇳🇬🙌🏾🌍
@alexander usyk you are welcome bro thumb up or down he is already on the fast lane 💯😆🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴
@alexander usyk why the hate Bro? 🤗 One love
@alexander usyk it's your personal opinion. But there is nothing you can do about it, is either you love or hate Naija music ,and it bothers no one .
Love when he said “when the spirits bring it to me, then I have to put it out”
Burna boy: People make mistakes dont they
♥️😂
Burna is a hard person to interview because he doesn't enjoy interviews, and like he doesn't suffer foolish conversation gladly. Ebro gets that and rolls with him. He was way more prepared and informed than Charlamagne/Envy (Angie did a bit more of her homework at least). I appreciate Ebro for this.
His voice is so deep. Sexy but on a badmon level too lol. I rate this artist for real
Yasss especially the video "Ye" 🔥🔥🔥
"badman"...lol😂
When you see his posts on instagram, he comes off like most artists. But, in person, he really doesn't say much. It takes a great interviewer, like #Ebro to ask the right questions to get a decent response from an introvert like Burna Boy.
I wish home success.
He said he's off social media. So probably someone else running em
Yeah, they have marketing people that take care of their social media profiles so that they can focus on their art.
@@andrewndambuki2207 Exactly!
😂 Burna boy isn't an introvert... He's just chill & calm on interviews.
I love Burna Boy! His artistry, his sound, his dances, his mom, e.t.c. I feel his mom/team can better prepare him for interviews. With this level of international exposure, he will continue to interview and needs to better express and represent himself. All African artists should dress to represent our continent, our fabrics are hot. Kudos to all that he has accomplished so far!
What's understood ain't gotta be explained. True
This interview was classic because that guy Ebro did amazing job doing a tease arch before the interview
It’s important to do your tease arch
Yeah Ebro did well cause he wasn't tense; he knows Burna doesn't like interviews and he rolled with it.
“Ye ye ye ye ye ye ye” 🔥🔥🔥 #classic
I dont know what else to say, but those who know, will understand.
This is not a shitty interview, he's putting out a lot of messages. And everything he's doing here, its it's a strategy.
Those who know, know.
I like d way he talks.. Cool, laid back n smart. Y'all gonna get use to him. He is different.
Nana Boahen I agree with you 👌🤩🤩
The first time I ever heard of this guy but one thing I'll say it's just dude is very intelligent and he knows what's up nothing but love and respect One Love
Yes, he is obviously a brilliant artist who knows his history. Can't knocking for that.
I think his reluctance to participate in interviews is grounded in mistrust for the media. It's probably better he's high rather than being sober and agitated...
Was there ever a scandal that twisted his position on something?
@@AfricanDances Yes, he talks about it in the interview...
@@nnanwa05 Yes, that would connect the dots. The vehicle is powerful none the less. He gets to have his voice heard which is brilliant. Hot 97 is a very well known syndicated radio station. Guess, this is his way of coping with it.
@Boi Syndicated station means that the radio station is playing in multiple markets. So Hot 97 is in NYC. But, you can hear in LA, Miami, online, etc. They have licenses in the big US markets. So, by being on Hot 97, Burna Boy is really getting a chance to be heard. It's crazy right now that we can talk about a radio interview & be in different countries.
wow... you do what for a living? so correct
He interviews like a strong warm hug lol
Enjoyed this interview. Been a fan of #Burnaboy for years. Glad to see him getting the success he deserves!!!
EBRO IS A TRUE AFRICAN NATIONAL he does his research properly KUDO to the HOT 97 FAMS, OLUWA BURNa KEEP SHINING
As an African arist myself and burna being my idol, i hope i ever make a song with him🙏🏾 it will be a dream come true
kinda crazy being a new fan and going back to watch this hearing burna boy say “if you listen with yo soul you’ll understand every word” bc i feel like i understand not knowing any of the language! man is amazing
Ebro, I love your commentary on Africa and the complexities of new(er) nations ✊🏾🖤
Ebro you better speak that! African republics are still so young. The effects of slavery and imperialism is still so rife in the US, centuries after our so-called emancipation; how can we expect less from African countries? People forget that the US was pretty much a mess, too, in its first decades of independence.
It still is a mess if you ask me
I love Burna Boy. He's extremely talented. Keep doing what you doing. We love it.
Burna boy going hard in the studio. Salute!
Nigeria and proud. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Ebro did some proper homework came with great questions and great energy 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Who is here for BURNER BOY? 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
??
bigups Ebro for holding us down!
...I cannot begin to say how much I am loving this music from Burna Boy... The message is universal but you must listen with your soul... #newfan...
I think Burna-b should also hook up with Jiddena he said it in 2012 that Burna is underrated
Burna boy. We love you bro. Ebro we have more Burnas. Hit me up when you land in South Africa.
West African we are just BLESS having this relented people around US
LETS GO, BURNA BOY IS SO FIRE
People need to understand that this man is a doer, he doesn't care care for interviews. He's just following his passion (MUSIC), which unfortunately comes with interviews for him. If it was up to him he wouldn't be doing interviews, it's just part of the industry innit. #afronation 🔥🔥🔥
Soul music is what Burna boy brings towards.
You listen with your ears yess
But you feel it in your soul 🤗🕊❤️💎
I’ll never forget the first time I heard “Anybody”
From the beginning to the end my eyes were shut it’s like I’d been sucked into the music my body was moving jeje
Like I got lost in the saucee🔥🔥🔥
👑Burna boy is spiritually amazing🌍🕊
If you can’t feel it your not listening to it properly allow it take over because the spirit is pure and inviting. ♾🕊💎💎💎
His music is very intriguing I love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Afrobeat is one person only, The king FELA ANIKULAKPO KUTI🙌🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Nope what about high life and fugi and other old school afro genres
First time I heard Burna it was the Song " Soke" the rest is history ! Much R.E.S.P.E.C.T nothin but a genius!
His album is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 his energy is so masculine yet not aggressive and so cool 👑
Protecc burna for us lord
He is on another level. 🔥🔥🔥
Sometimes I don't like the way Nigerians , most especially burna answers questions on a show, try to be outspoken, he's answering questions as if he's been forced
Burna Boy is from the Engenni tribe an ethnic group in Ahoada, Rivers State. Linguistically Ijaw/Edo influence. The closest neighbors are the Ekpeye people an Igboid ethnic group.
I thought he was Yoruba even his name is Yoruba
His mom is Yoruba. And his Dad sef is more like a yoruba man himself that's why he flows with yourba alot. But he his truly from Rivers State.
Big Ebro always on point I have much love for you. I can feel your love for mother land.
Ebro invite diamond platinum and khaligraph jones on your show. They represent East Africa

Burna Boy! We are super proud of you. You make all Africans proud. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Liberia 🇱🇷 just celebrated 172 years of independence.
Harry Momo ...but with nothing to show of it. Welcome to Africa
Liberia was never colonized as a nation, it was an American colony for freed slaves.
Burna is so cool. He is an example for black men every where.
"yeeeeeehhey" in BurnaBoy's voice
Burna s really introvert 🎉🎉🎉
Good Laura and Rosenberg ain’t there anyway. 🙄 Wasn’t in the mood for shallow, unresearched questions. Ebro is passionate about this one. 👏🏽
Wev been rocking wif burna boy since the day one...yawade ohhh🕺
All those that are asking my south south brother to lay his head down for the vultures and hyenas to feast on sorry, we learnt from Jonathan's fate and no one is repeating that error again. He still has to develop his base, even Fela's folk turned their back on him overtime. Let Burna grow abeg. Peace✌️
@Elo Oniko no mind all these media hyenas. Looking for their next victim in my brother that just managed to blow 😊
@Preye Yinkore what's happening? Who's Jonathan and what did he do? There seems to be a backstory to Burna's reticence in these interviews that fans like myself aren't understanding (apparently he said something that was twisted around?) Care to share? (This is a genuine query, I'm not trying to be snarky)
@@user-kpkxgtj one of the reasons Burna boy hasn't been heard of much like Wizkid and Davido, even though they are colleagues and started fairly at the same time, is cos some interviews he made in years past were blown out of proportion and he was black balled somewhat. He kept making his music and the rest is history. Repeating that same line of action is what the bloggers wish to create. Setting up social media against Burnaboy. When he said he is an African giant, they tried again to silence him. But his art delivered him from their plans. Burna has always had a mark on him. Those who wish to destroy him career wise are many. In my opinion, they can't fathom a minority tribal Nigerian making such headway in the entertainment industry. Jonathan was the former president of Nigeria who was from a minority southern tribe.
Ibro did his Research🙌
The way he speaks the truth! God bless you Damini🙏🏽
Burnaboy Ebro just gave you an opportunity to be like Fela and you’re avoiding it, shio. You gotta speak men. You ought use your voice to speak for the people, and stop scratching that hand. Anyway, Africa is proud of you!
Danny Welbeck speaking didn’t end well for fela. Lost his mom because of it and got beat up almost to death because of it, so maybe he wants to avoid that.
You think it's so f****** easy to talk about what's going on in flipping outing you are you stupid or what happened to follow look what happened to his mum that boy loves his mum too much to cause catastrophe I think the day read the news and then between the lines for yourself you doesn't have to do anything he's a musician not a flipping MP
Fela was such a powerful speaker, a true revolutionist! You're right he could have pulled from the spirits of that brother to bring in some powerful captivating vibes.
He doesn't want to "be like Fela"; he is Burna Boy.
One can get inspired by another, but at the end of the day, you've got to be yourself.
Burna boy to the world ❤ ❤ ❤
There is no right time, there is only divine time. Burna pon it
Burna Boy you are the Best Nigeria artist. I love you so much

Burna boy needs to stop getting high before interviews damn.
Ant Wan 😂😂
He just dey scratch him hand😪
Ant Wan Damn right he’s acting wierd
😂😂😂
The man is not a talkative person he just said that. I honestly think if you’re quiet & also speaking a language different to that of your native tongue, you too would come across as high or weird. Give the man a break yow
Me like this interview every interested🔥🇯🇲🔥🇯🇲🔥🇯🇲
My man's hard.. he sounds like dancehall its sounds like a mix of Jamaican style with African style
The king is in the building......
Damn the stuff coming out of UK is next level
Burna boy's music is so unique
Paco Lee Burna ain’t coming from the uk tho
@@benja303 Oh actually? I see Nigeria
@@benja303 you def wrong. Burna built his rep in the UK way early, plyd he grew up partly here. A lot of Naija artists did the same. Namely D'banj, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Wizkid.. .. you cant deny the part UK plays in Afrobeats popping around the world.

Bruh this is why im soo mad that Nigerian artist just RECENTLY blew up in America! They really missed the old/earliest songs of fuckin wizkid, davido, and burna boy! I think they were releasing the best hits during those times! Now america hopped in YEARS too late to be able to experience those bangers when they first came out! HUGE Shoutout to the UK, for riding with afrobeats and these artists from the like 2010 all the way up till today!! They got to experience all their great works! I live in America, and lets be honest, we miss out
