I can choose whether or not I put my child on the internet. I'm sure 99% of you are sweethearts, but there are some sick people out there - I've spoken to other UA-camrs who receive death threats targeted at their children. People feel no one in the public eye has any right to privacy because they chose to put themselves out there. I will put up a video, as I have said many times, when I get the time to craft a video I'm proud of and excited to share. This is no one's decision but my own.
I really respect your decision not to put your child out there to the public when she has no say or understanding of it. Either way, it's great to see baby/pregnancy updates
Thank you love - I am excited to put up a video I've been thinking over in my head for months now and I am looking forward to showing off my little one, as any new mama is :) After that, I want to provide her with some privacy because she can't vocalize whether or not she wants to be on the internet. That's Chris and my decision and that's what's right for us :)
You're so genuine. You've got nothing but my complete respect. Keep it up!
I really respect your decision to keep Julia and your family private! I would be the same way. Everyone raises their children differently so I respect your honesty and understanding! Love your videos & god bless your growing family!
I am neither pregnant nor old enough to want to be, but this video was amazing, like, wow.. congrats for the baby
i love hearing labor and delivery stories! I'm a nursing student and today was my first day in OB/GYN rotation and I got to assist in a delivery. best experience of my life so far!
Beautiful name for such a beloved child. Welcome to the world, baby girl! You are well loved. God Bless
with you, mommytard, britt null, rachel talbott and soon anna saccone and itsjudys life its so amazing how many new little lives there are!
Thank you so much for sharing your story. My husband and I are in the middle of figuring out when is the best time to starting trying but I am so nervous about the labour part of it all. You've honestly given me so much relief. Thank you again! Congratulations on your new baby girl!
Thanks! Your story has made me feel SO much better about giving birth in 5 months. I have heard so many horrible stories from people that have terrified me.
I'm enlisting the help of a friend to assist with the video and the earliest he could do is beginning of November. It was my fault for saying October when I hadn't confirmed anything with him so I'm very sorry about it. I will get the video together ASAP once we have all the footage!! I'm really excited about it and can't wait for you all to meet her :)
I totally relate when you say that you weren't expecting the pain afterwards. Noone talks about that and it came as a surprise to me too. But you soon forget it and just remember all the best bits (sorry I've left so many comments haha!). Thankyou for sharing your story and congrats again!!
Congratulations! You will be a great mom!! And I completely respect yours and Chris's desicion to keep private life, private. Good luck!
i cant believe how fast 9 months went rach, why suffer pain when you have the medicine to relieve it, im still a student nurse but working with babies was the best part of my career, enjoy every minute of it, you are going to be a great mother, congrats to you both on ur new family
Thank you so much for this video! 30 weeks pregnant and really scared of labour! But your video is giving me hope! Thanks xx
Don't feel discouraged by people asking to see your baby. Do what you are comfortable with. If you want to share her with the world, go for it. If you want to keep her to yourself, that is your decision.
Additionally, I don't see why people are upset if you changed your mind. People change their minds all the time. Julia is your and your husband's baby. If you decide to share her with everyone one day and then decide not to again, that is okay. I am a new mom too and you have to do what is best for you and your family. You don't owe anyone anything.
That being said, congrats on your new bundle of joy! Time flies!!!
You're right. We have walked through this pregnancy with you. I totally understand the privacy issues and respect your wish, but I think we could see Julia more than just once. You've made this personal channel for a reason. Anywho, biggest congratulations on your safe delivery and all the best with your little one.
you're super lucky with the labour lol
my step sister was in labour for over 30 hours, until they had to give her a c-section!!
I cannot wait to see Julia!
SO PROUD OF YOU!
thank you so much for sharing this. I know that we are thinking of having a baby and I am terrified of labour.. I appreciated your honesty so much!!!
Im so happy for you and I totally understand your decision on keeping Julia more private
I've seen SO many labour videos, and they always made me so nervous! this makes me much more less scared. thank you!
you have no say in what i want to do. besides, i'm waiting til i'm 30. at least i actually have my life planned out.
I'm with cate. Sometimes you just need to know weather you're 14 or 20. It's preparing for your future
Thank you for sharing honestly. What an immense task and responsibility. Motherhood commands respect and you have mine.
thank you so much for describing the delivery process in such details! really love your video! You are actually really good at describing pain! I totally understood!
Thank you so much for sharing your labour story in details, im due to give birth in 5weeks, im so nervous and completely wasnt sure what to expect from labour. Your video has really helped me understand labour better. Congratz to you n hubby on your new arrival.
Love that you talk about the pain AFTER giving birth! The recovery was by far the worst part.
thank you for posting this im 37 week pregnant right now and im playing the waiting game for my little one this is helpful.
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. It's really interesting how evry woman goes through this process.
Were you able to get dissolvable stitches? Were the stitches the result of an episiotomy or tearing? I have heard that tearing usually requires more stitches and a longer healing time. Has breastfeeding come easy for you? I wasn't able to produce enough milk so I had to use formula as well. I'm always envious of the moms that are able to do it so easily. Congrats on your baby girl!
I def. agree! No one needs to see those private moments but Dr and the parent.
Agree
You're so sweet, Rachel. Congratulations! You look great!
How dare people judge her for not showing her baby. That is her choice and her child, not yours. We also prefer not to show our children on FB or any other social media site. You have NO idea who is watching or viewing your child's photos/videos/etc. I commend her for doing this because she is right, the little baby has no say in the matter and if she wants to protect her child from the public eye, then again, it's her right to do so.
For all you complainers, it looks liken there will be a baby video up sometime today according to her FB page.
I just like you so much more after hearing you're not exposing your baby!! ❤️
Congratulations!!! So happy for you and your family! You have explain everything so well, but can you talk maybe a bit more about the "after" ? Like how you managed the pain from the stitching, if you can move and be able to walk and look after your baby and things like that? Thankyou!
So happy for you and Chris honey! I have had 2 babies (both very large babies around 10 lbs each) and I can relate to your post-birth description completely! I could not sit down to go to the bathroom for about a week afterwards and had to use a sitz bath every day. That helped tremendously, along with a spray bottle of diluted witch hazel (hospital nurse gave that to me).
"And then I just got to the point where I could even finish the cake" yes that's when I would know something is wrong, too ;) lol how fun of a story! Y'all had a birthday cake made for her and you
I haven't weighed myself because a) I don't care lol and b) I don't own a scale :P I listen to my body and have been eating a LOT lately because I'm breastfeeding. My body will find it's center eventually, I'm in no rush! :)
congratulations to your new wee family! This is a really great down to earth happy video! :)

This video is so sweet! I started tearing up.
Awwww...when you were describing seeing her for the first time it made me cry. That's such a beautiful moment you will never ever ever forget. Thanks for bringing back that memory for me. You're a beautiful soul!

wow that sounds intense! congratulations and well done for getting through it all!!
It sounds like a really good first labour :) I hope I get one like it!! I was just wondering...when baby Julia was out how was the hole "getting the placenta out" and I also heard that it feels like you are popping out three babies 1. Actual baby 2. placenta 3. the uterise getting back on it´s place and shrinking. Did you excperience that?
Love to you and your family!
Congratulations! You are going to make the best mum
Congratulations to you and your family ♥♥♡♥♡ I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS BECAUSE YOUR NICE AND SWEET

I'm so happy for you guys :) my aunt just had a baby boy and my other aunt is having one any day!
I love how you are planning to keep your life a bit private! Thats really good! :) xxx
Rachel, I ended up at this video from your testing new makeup brands video! Love all of your videos!
congratulations and welcome to Julia
I love how you say "baby"
Congrats again Rachel!
why would someone give this a thumbs down this is great
So happy for you and your family!! :) how long did the bleeding and stitches take to heal? That part sounds scary! What was the pain afterwards like?
Thank you sooo much for this video! I am 38 weeks due on the 19th and for about a week I have been getting what I'm guessing is braxton hicks. But starting a couple of days ago they have been coming more frequently. I'm not dilated at all or effaced. But my question is did your contractions stay low in your belly?
Congratulations Rachel!
Thank you so much for posting this video! I'm due April 28th and have been freaking myself out about the delivery; it was reassuring to actually listen to someone talk about their experience that in depth! Wishing you and your new family the best :)
thats really comforting rachel.
Can you tell me more about the epideral? Is it a needle that stays in you for the duration of delivery or is it like a spinal shot and then ok, continue on with labour? Please and thank you. I'm really concerned and curious.
" No one needs to see that but the Dr!" +1,000,000
Congratulations! Welcome Baby Julia!
Awww!! You gave birth 3 days after me!! BTW I just found your channel and you are like a breath of fresh air from all the other beauty youtubers!!!!
We have the same birth day , just started watching your channel and i love it
Congrats :) Even if you don't show her, will you be talking about her or having monthly updates?
I knew ittttt! That's why I've always called my menstrual cramps as "Minor birthing pains"
thank you for this video! I've always been so nervous for giving birth, and this definitely helped!
YAY!! So glad you had such a positive experience-- loved this recap, I was nodding my head through everything, especially just having gone through it! And you look AHMAZING!
Congrats on Baby Julia!
"It started on the 13th of September. Friday 13th."
AAAGGGH!
Congratulations Rachel! So happy for you :)
I’m a labor and delivery nurse and I swear the quickest way to slow down contractions is to call the doc and say that baby is right there and ready to be delivered. Haha
I hear that the vaginal area can rip? are those the stich's u were talking about? that is what scares me the most about getting pregnant is that the skin down there may rip through the process of birth? scary!
i don't think there's any ripping, the drs have to make a little incision down there to help the baby come out easier. They stich you up again after delivery.
It can tear if baby's head comes out too quickly. Sometimes they do an episiotomy (which is when they cut the skin down there) if baby's head is having trouble coming out, or if it looks like there might be issues (lots of doctors have different views on when/if episiotomies are necessary).
Madi Kroeker oh wow. didn't know it could actually rip. It does sound scary, but if you're in the hospital and under a good dr's care, I'm sure things will be ok and no ripping will (hopefully!) happen :)
That happened to my mom for her first birthing (the tearing) But she didn't have a very good doctor. He should have cut her instead so it would have been less damage/ and easily stitched up.
yes, it can. when my mom gave birth she pushed too hard, and she ripped.
you look amazing Rachh!
one questions, how long were you and Julia in the hospital before they said, okay youre ready to go home?
So happy for you, congratulations!
Nope no issues on my end! I did have some difficulty maybe in the first week because I needed a few stitches but nothing serious, just uncomfortable :)
Aww congrats on your baby girl!
My baby had the same measurements..7 lbs 19 in! Cool lol! Congratulations and take it all in every second because they grow so so fast :)
Did the epidural affect julia at all? Did she start breastfeeding ok or did the epidural make her groggy? Im about 4 weeks from my due date and I do want the epidural im just scared that she wont breastfeed right away if i get one
I hate needles... You explaining the epidermal gave me the goose bumps... Lol that is the part I am most scared about, all the needles and things..
I know this was along time ago but it showed up on my home page and it's great ❤❤
Congrattsssss!!! Love the name!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love that u chose not to show your kiddies because of privacy and without their consent before it became “cool
‘ or ‘politically correct” dont know if this makes sense but I love you keep your channels not about using them for views as they have gotten older I feel so sorry for the “ family channels “ who use them as child actors u guys are an amazing family channel without exploiting your kids ❤️❤️❤️ u and Chris are amazing humans
congratulations rach!! what was the shortlist of names you had before you picked julia? does she have a middle name? congrats again! xx
I would love a video on what to expect when you first go home with baby. Such as pain and discomfort while managing baby.
With the epidural, the pushing her out was uncomfortable but not painful. I'd say the recovery for the following week and a half were the most "painful". :)
Thanks Rachel!! I'm thinking of having my first baby soon but scared out of my wits!! I hope this isn't too personal and you obviously don't have to answer, but have you experienced any bladder issues since giving birth? Pain, urgency anything? I've had bladder pain/urgency for 10 months now and I even had surgery to check things out but it hasn't completely gone away (it turned out I had endometriosis but I still have some symptoms after removal 3 months ago). Thx and congrats!!
Does epidural have some consequences? PS: This video was so helpful, thank you so much!
