Indy 500 is a one time event that they probably don't even check every place to make sure you are gone, you could 'stowaway' and stay all week if you wanted.
Pretty cool. I am a "Yellow Shirt" Safety Patrol these days, but have been coming to IMS for 65 years and the Indy 500 in the infamous original Snake Pit infield Turn 1 in the 70s! And I survived and still going strong! It's pretty cool that you got where you did; you had to have had the ok from Doug Boles or someone to roam even that late. Oh, and btw, it IS "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing!" You should come back for more! 🥰🏁🏁🏁🏁✌️
Having been to NASCAR races and an IndyCar race in Long Beach they probably only cleared the grandstand seats, and then went home for the evening. NASCAR tracks even allow those with a camper to stay in the infield overnight with the stipulation they have to leave the track by noon the day after the race. Most of the security for these races are temporary staff for a 3 day, maybe 4 day weekend at most that return to their "real jobs" on Monday. If it weren't for that storm forcing you out, you might have been able to stay in the infield until Monday even without a camper.
Dude was in danger of being struck by lightning at 6:03. When your hair raises up like that it means the static electricity is high in the air and you're prone to getting hit
So much easier without the 'safety patrol' there. I'm handicapped and have to use the elevator to get to my seat. I have to go through training these people every year. You always meet 'Mordac the Denier' at some point and have to make his/her supervisor come let us through. I've tried 'Leave Me Alone, I know what I'm doing'... Even those wise words don't work. I would Love to casually walk into the pagoda just once, but it's never happened. I don't want to be in here, I just need to use the effin elevator.
It took us and we left as soon as the checkered flag dropped a total of a hour to walk to the car from turn 3 and then 30 to 45 more minutes to get out of the parking space to get into the line of endless traffic
I watched the video again mainly because I love the Indy 500 and Indycar but c'mon dude you have to kiss the bricks. I have done it on the track there's nothing wrong. BTW I was there too. It was a joke
He mentions that the infield tailgating is like a college level proves how small and easy going the infield parties are now compared to the 70’s 80’s and most of the 90’s. Otherwise he would of compared to it Hells Angel Biker convention meets Woodstock on Steroids. FR. Search Indy snake pit/ infield in 70s 80’s and see what I mean.

There are 4 holes of a golf course in the infield.
Not true!! He had the okay to roam.
@@conniedragoo202 just like the people who saw the 2020 500 in person right? ;)
There's multiple races at the Indianapolis motor speedway throughout the year
Oh, but they do. 24 hour security. Final walk through with them post race before all gates locked down.
I love how there was some sort of interview going on with Josef and it was just unlocked access lmao. They must assume no one cares to stay that long.
Short answer a long fucking time.
“You can lead a horse to water ….”You can say to race fans the event is over but you can’t make them leave
@@DustyTail been to many a race like that!
If you stay past midnight, they lock you inside and make you pick up trash the next day 😂
How do you know that?

My first 500 mile race in 1955 🏁🏁
Amazed by All the latrines in the infield.
Portable toilets not invented yet.
25 guys standing at one trough .
That’s cool that you got that close to Newgarden
2 hours 57 minutes is good but it kills me you didn't wait three more minutes.

Stayed so long one year we had to climb over the fence to get out. Place was closed.
Why did you TAP OUT and not kiss the bricks? You should have went and done it!
Isn’t it bad luck to kiss them if you haven’t won?
@@lilkris3008 NO!
I'll be honest, You could probably live there
Bro I left for the race at 6:00 am and got home at 12:00 am
Same. Rain delay extended the race day quite a bit
Could probably still be there if you wanted to fully commit
So your just loaded and can do all this cool shit. I respect that.
You can see us filming our end of day video on the Yard of Bricks, should have said hi bro!
Bros account for tickets and traveling must in the negatives
It’s not
@@gfedgocrazyare u from Chicago?
He gets the cheapest seats pretty much at every place he goes so he's chill
He's rich.
Tickets for, and traveling to The Greatest Spevtacle In Racing is NEVER a negative.

Bro just casually walked into the pagoda

OMFG! Are you kidding me? You were there! Man I would have LOVED to meet you GFED
My seats for the race were exactly where you were at the 37 minute mark haha. I was long gone by then though
bro when your hair is standing up like that in a thunderstorm its time to gtf inside
We found shelter quick
Do this at f1 race
Las Vegas!
Ew no
They would kick him and he probably wouldn’t be allowed to watch any f1 race At said track for a little while or something so
Bro literally could honestly just take a tent and put it in the infield it’s so big that security wouldn’t notice you definitely live there 😂
“I’m committed to be the last person to leave”
*Security* …
That’s crazy you got to the winners circle
This is the one I was waiting for
I also went to the race and stayed till about 11:15pm inside the track. I got to the track at 5:50.
Do it again next year when it hopefully won't rain and see if you can stay until midnight
Thanks for the tour!
Where did you wait out the rain delay? I was under the Tower Terrace grandstands
Wasn’t in the venue until after the delay. Tailgated just outside of it
So was I. There had to have been like 60,000 people underneath those particular grandstands
I mean like you probably could have literally slept on the i field grass bro there was nobody out there lol
Shit, I would’ve driven around the track afterwards
First also w vid

We got a indycar one let’s go!
Lucky you weren't arrested for trying to get into Roger's private suite!
Very cool video
Can’t believe you didn’t kiss the bricks smh
The traffic to get out was horrible
frrrrr took like 2 hrs to get out of the fricken parking lot
I was out on tenth street within 5 minutes of getting to my car. Less than 45 minutes after race end.
The police had the dumbest fucking traffic pattern going on
I was parked like two blocks away from the speedway and it was fine, we left like 10 minutes after the end.
@@emeraldeyeball2002 You just have to know where to park. If you park in the infield, or on 16th street, you're going to be there for hours.
That was impressive lol
Shoutout Excision
you just fucked things up for everyone else
Didn’t see everyone else while I was recording
Go to a nascar race pls
nascar race now?
Try it at Daytona!
Sad Larson couldn’t do the double
How do you cross to the other side of the track?
tunnels and bridges for the infield sections of track when they are in use.
They have tunnels underneath the track
I was there
I was wondering too
Nice
I mean you could have stayed for 24 hrs.
I watched the video again mainly because I love the Indy 500 and Indycar but c'mon dude you have to kiss the bricks. I have done it on the track there's nothing wrong. BTW I was there too.

0:19 😂
I would if left
I think you coulda stayed longer lol
Kissing the bricks is a nascar thing. Stick to your milk
