The “Tea Factory” should be renamed the Pee Factory. They’re certainly taking the piss.
May be they should stop paying wages to people they have removed for sexual offences.
License holders are paying their wages, not the bbc 🤠
Huw Edwards still on full pay for doing nothing. Still, even that's better value for money than the BBC get from Gary Lineker.
Hate to say it but I can see the licence fee being replaced with a media tax on your Internet subscription. No get out then.
@@Kivetonandrew Why's that then? Internet subscriptions are no more mandatory than TVL subscriptions.
@@WotsisFace wow and who collects the licence fund itv ?
Its a gravy train so it will never have enough money!!! Too many retired people still getting £200,000 a year!
Squandered on cruises and over priced lat'es.
Tax funded gravy train. No fiscal accountability. Just demands for more tax money.
It's not a tax. It's demands for a subscription. I don't subscribe so I ignore their subscription requests, all in the bin unopened as they are not even addressed to me.
It's absolutely disgusting. Why are the government not stepping in and investigating this bollocks
Because it's their voice piece.
Could you imagine running any company where you start the year with £4bn capital every year regardless of how crap you are? It would be THE company to work for.
Only if you live in la la land with a load of people who spouts B S only and are over payed for being like the muppet’s 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
But the BBC isn’t crap it’s up there with Al Jazeera as a trusted source of news. Not hampered by pressure from advertisers.
So glad I cancelled my TV licence 3yrs ago 😊.
Mismanagement and wasting money causes companies to fold. Let it sink without trace.
Stop paying people £400000 a year to read a teleprompter for the news
use a sexy AI girl instead
Just let me work the teleprompter they may / would be reporting the truth for a change 😂😂😂😂😂
@@esecallumThat's as perverse an idea , as the BBC themselves .😮
£500M that's a drop in the old tea factory for them, you know why ? Because it's not there money.
*their money
@@RobertGeeztheir 🙂
Yep, just like all the spendthrift Welsh Assembly and councils with 10% council tax increases.
So long as the public fund them they can churn out any old shit with really bad reviews and low ratings and they won't care, and they have said as much themselves!!
bbc favourite word is repeat repeats and repeats 😮😮😮😮😮😮
Stop paying Hugh Edwards then BBC
Yes, still on full pay for doing nothing. Still, even that's better value for money than the BBC get from Gary Lineker.
Check Gary Lineker's bank account...
But he needs all that money to help the illegal immigrants out.
What ever happens in funding the government will have to support their huge pensions via our taxes, thats got to be a third or so of the debt/costs. Easy to solve one tv station one national radio station sell all buildings go subscriptions bin the licence.😊
Lineker, Daly, McGuiness, Winkleman, and many others, Drop them, and save a heck of a lot of money. The outdated BBC needs to go, and along with it the tax for watching TV in the UK. They need to be commercially funded.
Just an old boys' club. I'd push the description further than that, but I fear I'd lose my YT account.
And huw edwards on 440000k a year.
I am perfectly happy to pay my for my TV Licence. No way would I wish to hand it over to the whims of advertisers.
Sell the BBC and give the money to the owners the Licence Fee Payers.
@davidyoung5830 Self employed have a lot fewer safeguards and benefits. Would you like to leave your job & go back self employed ?
The total bill for senior BBC staff is estimated at £72.4 million, with £36.1 million being paid to on-air talent, and £36.3 million paid to backroom bosses. This includes 133 named figures who receive over £178,000. A total of 435 staff at the BBC, including backroom bosses and on-air talent, earn over £100,000.
When its not your own money, its easy to waste it.
Just got a nice letter off them asking if I'll be home on 5th April 🙄
Funny they never come!
Write back saying you WON'T be in and see what the reply is, if any.
@@robbiecoxor even he writes back and say that they have to ring and make an appointment. If you don't turn up for the appointment then theirs a Charge of £50 (if you call without making an appointment you will be turned away) 😊
Telephone them. Tell them you will be in.
See what happens.
Everyone should call them whenever they get a letter.
Don't worry. I got one saying March 29th but nobody showed.
Anyway, Huw Edwards still on full pay for doing nothing. Still, even that's better value for money than the BBC get from Gary Lineker.
Like all Public bodies who are fed endless amounts of public money, they become complacent with their never ending supply of free money and blow it on whatever they feel like.
Best comment on here.
Biggest laugh I've had for ages. Do the departments not speak to each other, as financial planning is a complete farce!
I bet they have at least £20 billion stashed away somewhere.
In buildings around the country probably.
I get them all the time, usually asking if I will be in on a certain date just to intimate you
Regarding (the former) BBC TV Centre in London. This was sold off to a delevopment company called Stanhope in 2012.
Stanhope redeveloped the site, demolishing most of the old studios, and turning the circular middle bit into apartments.
The three remaining studios, are leased by BBC Studioworks from Stanhope (not BBC Studios as you might expect) yet
another commercial subsidiary owned by the BBC. Two of the studios TC2 ands TC3 are rented out to ITV Daytime.
TC2 is home to Lorraine, Loose Women and Peston, while TC3 is home to Good Morning Britain and This Morning.
Since the sale and redevelopment, it's official known simply as Television Centre.
So, is BBC Studioworks a separate commercial venture?
This is all unbelievable. It must stop at some stage surely.
Hilarious how they don’t think we know what they are doing, so corrupt it’s disgusting 🤮.
Sounds Like Monopoly Commission Needs To Become Involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh dear, how sad, never mind! 🤣
Glad I don’t pay a penny to this shambles of a corporation. Get rid and stop the unjust criminality of non payers of the archaic fee.
I doubt you could put into a single sentence a well-argued case for why you want to replace the publicly-funded BBC with advertising-funded TV, radio and websites.
I’m so pleased to have contributed to the bbc’s financial black hole by chucking the licence.
Sounds very much like how our council spends the council tax we pay .........
Some of the salaries are obscene for doing an ordinary job. Compare with salaries payed to the professionals in the service and medical industries, in caring, in nursing, in teaching, all working for the welfare of society.
How much money do they make on the fines through the courts on top of the license fee never seen that printed anywhere 🤬🤬🤬
Because I suspect it is remarkably little. Wow, you Beeb-haters see conspiracies everywhere.
They are awash with money paid to them automatically by the uninformed..... the problem is they love spending other peoples money...
Oh dear, I m shocked Maybe its because Ive not bought a TV licence for 15 years
Hopefully this "shortfall" is entiely due to people binning the license and no longer paying it. Hopefully it will turn into a billion before the years out.
They now need the licence money to send out the extra letters they need to post!
How the hell, after charging nearly every household, every single year are they pretnding they are skint
If they scrap the BBC licence they will replace it with a media tax covering all platforms.
I say keep the licence and us smart ones don't pay it
Thanks again.
These videos are great they give me a huge level of satisfaction that I no longer contribute to this inefficient self-indulgent company that has no responsibility at all to the people that fund it. I just fear the government will step in at some point and try to force money out of people who have no interest in the BBC and yet somehow should pay for it.
Beautiful.
When I go to a paint manufacturer they have soooo much paint…
Why are the bbc always out of stock of whatever it is they’re supposed to be selling?
Both their budget and their current 'subscription' is over 3 times that of any competitor. And - even given their constant production of total sh!te - they still can't manage?
Failing a total cancellation of their current protection racket - how about some independent team to critically audit every quid of our money they spend?
A woman i know was paying her licence weekly, She got behind with payments, They sent her a cheque for £155.00 and canceled her licence because it was late. I went to the post office added £4 and bought her another year..... What other company could survive doing this ?
The more money they waste the more they can skim off into their pockets, their family members pockets and their friends pockets.
They have to spend as much , at least , as they get yearly otherwise their TV tax would be cut .
Which is why they claim poverty with a £500 million 'black hole' in their finances!
"How is this even possible..?"
It's the 'NHS model' as it's known in the private sector. 1 man/woman and 3 managers doing the job of 1 person throughout the whole shebang. 3/4 of the staff could be shelved tomorrow, and the whole organisation would function EXACTLY the same. That goes for both the BBC AND the NHS. And I worked for the NHS as long ago as 1982 and can assure you it was almost as bad back then as it is now.
50000 'managers' at 140000 a pop
Stop, paying Hugh Edward’s nearly 1/2 million for not working.
£4billion in, and still 1/2 a billion shortfall. I mean, how does the BBC manage to cost £4.5 billion to run when they say they are having to make cuts to programme making and are selling off assets left and right because they don’t have enough income. Crazy.
A £492 black hole, they could cover that in a second with the TV licence fee. Why are they opening up yet another studio in Birmingham? They already have one in London and Manchester. I just don't get it.
The BBC need to cut their cloth like we have to in these stringent times.
For example they should stop spending money on useless items like I have had to do.
And the TV licence is the most useless of the lot!
When you actually take a step back and think about it on a real world fiscal responsibility level. It's a damned impressive feat for any company to manage to overspend what amounts to almost 4 BILLION pounds to run ANY company. Never mind the BBC.
I reckon there must be people over in the US working at NASA saying to themselves "I wish I could get away with pissing away that amount of money and still claim that I'm doing an acceptable job of running this organisation.."
If they stopped sending me letters every 5 minutes they would save a ton of cash
getting sick of hearing how hard up this thieving wasteful company are.
How can you be short of money with an income of 4 billion 🤔
Its so so easy to spend OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY
A COMPLETE WASTE OF SPACE
Built an office in the centre of Cardiff some of the most expensive realty in the city Why?
The idea of the TV licence really annoys me. The law concerning it states that you have to pay it if you receive and view live TV.
This includes ITV, Channel 4 and 5 even though they are nothing to do with the BBC. The law should be changed to say you pay a licence only if you view the BBC or listen to BBC radio.
Did you know part of your Sky TV subscription goes to the BBC even if you pay for a TV licence.
It's legal theft plain and simple, make them advertise like everyone else.
I only watch streaming TV so I'm exempt from a TV licence. I didn't vote in the 2016 referendum as I couldn't care less, however since Brexit I refuse to view anything to do with the BBC as instead of remaining neutral they were totally biased in favour of the Remain view, for me that was unacceptable.
Get rid of Zoe Ball and Gary Lineker that will save about £4 million.
TV Licence Stop ......Paying It ✅
Since when did BBC spending licence payers money have to make any sense?
It’s about time everybody’s seen the light.. we have been obliviously funding these pigs for decades & all they’ve done with our money is divert the course of justice. Now everyone’s realised they can’t do anything if you don’t pay it. Game over. 🤝👏💯
Any prediction as to how long this can go on for? I thought 5 years ago it would be done by now.
Just put return to sender on any letter you get from them
It an absolute embarrassment
So they are building a new complex that can also record or manufacture programmes?
As its bbc studios that make progs, BBC are building facilities for BBC studios to make even more money!
With such operating deficits, where is the money coming from? They have none, allegedly.
Creative accounting!
How can any business run with a deficit without going under
I havent had a BBC licence since 1993
Only thing am worried about is our pot holes
BBC licence out of date like the council tax
Who still paying these clowns 21 century

@@user-yq3nu5hd6n By 'migrates' I presume you mean people who move to the UK from elsewhere? As for them getting everything for free, you clearly don't know any of the poorer people who move here and have to subsist on very little money at all. I know personally an Iraqi man who had to flee his homeland because he is gay; he has scars on his torso where he was stabbed for that. He lives in a hostel in terrible conditions here in north-east England ,along with people who deal drugs, and his life is anything but easy. The BBC has many flaws, as it always did, but it is relatively cost-effective in terms of how it uses its income. Bear in mind that the private sector is inefficient: most of the wealth it creates is taken by shareholders and executives, and is not reinvested in the business. The example of Thames Water shows how private business has no motivation for providing a good service even when it is as vital as water. So stop blaming the BBC.
Who says there's no good news anymore.
Britbox is apparently moving to ITVX premium at the end of April.
Just like councils and devolved assemblies struggling with funding all those lovely index linked pensions. Hand the liabilities over to the private sector-simples!
Cut wages simple but they only no greed like water companys
Check out the new build in Cardiff!
If only the BBC hadn’t sold off and knocked down Birmingham Pebble Mill…. 🤣
It is the same shell PPL company that runs our councils. Small businesses are penalised for TAX avoidance and the lack of accountability. Monkey see, Monkey do... But if you do then we will slap you down. Serf!
Like you not paid it in years come on guys get rid
The real story might be that they are overspending because they have too much money and don't know how to spend it and if they ever spent way less than they collected threw the licence people and government may question the cost of the licence more closely
They pay the wrong people too nuch i hope they go off the air
Are they trying to confuse us re their stats by using different meanings of what is the BBC? One view would be that 'the BBC' includes all of their activities including BBC Studios, UKtv and all their commercial activities. I suspect the definition they prefer as they plead poverty is that bit of the BBC funded by licences and NOT including all the extras above. More clarification needed as to what exactly constitutes 'the BBC' when it produces its figures.
Do these BBC commercial arms pay the 'core' BBC (ie in effect the licence fee payers present and especially past) for the programmes made in the past (preBBC Studios) using our money that they now sell for a profit?
So many channels and business arms, isn't this a monopoly or cartel?
Not really sure why anyone would hate the BBC. It's just too big and varied to be a target. After all, why hate the Good Food website, or the 6Music radio station or the EastEnders soap?
If the government get their way after 2027 it will be business as usual
Replace linekar and find just another £491 million.
The ONS appear to have taken on the same tactics as Capita. Multiple letters thru the post addressed to THE OCCUPIER and also doorstep visits. Is it possible Capita may have taken on this role also.
How can the ONS be hassling you?
@@gmo4250 Used to be that you would be hassled in the high street by them with their clipboards. Now the highstreets have died I suppose they're having to resort to new tactics.
@@paulzuncle2980
How are they hassling you and what do we need to be aware of? I have no idea why they would send you multiple letters and what it refers to. I can't imagine they are asking you for money.
@@gmo4250 I’m not implying that they’re asking for money, merely pointing out that they are using similar methods as what Capita use.
Just look at the staff pensions, and I bet the likes of linekar and the rest who are not employees get pensions from the BBC at full salary
I'm stupid I still pay for a tv licence, but I'm not going to pay the increase, they can whistle for it. xx
Then you cant pay for the license with out paying the increase, strange thinking
maybe if they stop providing free tv programs for people in third world countries who already have their OWN tv programs and at the cost of UK licence payers, then maybe, just maybe they can reduce that loss just a touch lol
Bigger hole the better
I got a letter from the TV licence for me too pay but as i disclosed the last time I do not watch or listen to anything to do with the BBC but this time it come too something odd they are saying I have to have a licence too watch anything not to do with the BBC ie UA-cam Netflix etc too me it sound that you have bought the TV but the BBC own it

Sell off BBC2 TV, and sack any staff paid more than £100,000 a year (salary and commercial contract).
Reduce TV Tax to £40 a year. (For those daft enough to want to watch a woke, politically biased product).
Sounds like it’s time to fund the BBC from taxation like they do in Russia. Would stop the dishonest breaking the law for a start. Plus no complaints from Russians.
Lol UK is an occupied vassal state, Russia is a sovereign nation.
@@markbowden7238 On what basis do you claim that the U.K. is a vassal occupied state ?
@@davecooper3238 because the UK is not England not Wales not Ireland not Scotland and because Wales Scotland and Ireland still have national identities, and because England was defeated in battle not by Scotland Wales or Ireland, and because England is full of people claiming to be British claiming they live in Britain, who have conveniently forgotten that Britain is not a country or a culture or a language.
So the country England has been occupied since it's defeat by various foreign entities that rose and fell in turn such as the British Empire that lasted until 1944 and the beginning of the US occupation.

England was defeated at Hastings in 1066 and occupied (Norman Conquest).
Britain was defeated and occupied by the US in 1944 (the 'soft invasion').
The amount of US service personnel currently stationed in the UK (formerly England formerly Britain), is greater than the entire British armed forces combined.
Britain used biochemical weapons on an industrial scale post WW2 under both Labour and Conservative governments (as you know).
Britain was the inspiration behind the development and use of biochemical weapons by the US (as you know).
Britain used biochemical weapons against civilian populations (agent orange/ Malaya) and on its own population (SARS-COV-2 "vaccine").
You might think Britain is a real country but don't be fooled.
Britain is a cutout, a construct, currently overseen by a corporation (gov.uk) headquartered in London, England, yet England has not been accused of any grand scale crimes against humanity and to the best of my knowledge, neither has Scotland.
