@@december7329 My point is, hello is hello, apa khabar is how are you. No one will reply to a hello with khabar baik. In other words, "hello, apa khabar?" would be translated as "how are you, how are you? My point, hello is not at all "apa khabar". Hello is hello. If a visitor knock on the door while greeting "hello!" would it be acceptable as "apa khabar?" the video defined hello as apa khabar. I'm highlighting a good point here don't you think?
Nice Effort. This is very helpful video for foreigner or Visitors. Some mistake in this video, but not a big issue, because this video for beginners or foreigner.
If you direct translate apa khabar to English it means: what news, which is more like asking how are you not hello. For hello, native speakers say helo or hi.
@@mohammedalzawm852 if you want to apologise to someone you should says ' saya minta maaf '. It is means ' i'm sorry ' that for the formal one. Now for the usual one we usualy use is 'maafkan saya' or 'maafkan aku' .
@@emona.63 So there is no Malay word for Hello... I always found that strange. How can a language not have a word for 'hello'. I know people say Hi or Hallo/Hello... but they are English words.
@@EnglishforFOOTBALLFANS we say 'hai' for hello and I found it strange too because it so confusing to tell the diffrent like we din't have it in our language. As a malay myself found it weird.
because culturally the Malays dont say Hello to greet people they normally use the Islamic Greeting “Assalamualaikum” among themselves..and most words presented here have Arabic root here..
@@Water_blade2011 yeah sanskrit, chinese,Persian,English,Portuguese,Dutch,Tamil,Other sub Austronesians, and many more but still the dominant vocabs are Arabic
All words end in vowel 'a' should be pronounced with 'e' sound, and the consonant r at the end of all words is silent, sometimes the consonant r in the middle of the majority some words also silent. Unlike Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia is semi-phonetic. Example, apa khabar= ape khaba, perkara penting = pekare penting.
I dont think so, it is very regional thing. We still say words ending with 'a' as 'a'. But, for any words ending with 'r', we tend to silence it. Regards from Malaysian Borneo.
Hi there yes we are still on for tomorrow at about a week ago and it was a pleasure to meet you and your mom a few things to do in the morning and then we can go to the store and get some rest and feel better soon and that is why we are not going to be able to make that a few weeks ago and it was a pleasure speaking with you and your team for the morning and then we can go to the store and get some rest and it will not going out for lunch at the moment so a pleasure working a few things and get a new phone yet a new job so and get back with me and it is a pleasure meeting with me and it is not a good time to the morning and it is not a big fan of the morning to meet you at the house or at least a week or so ago a few things to do but wait for the next one is about a week ago a few things that a good bye

Hello dalam bahasa english sama
Apa khabar dalam bahasa english 'how are you'
I like it
used for me tks
'Apa khabar? ' actually is the meaning for saying 'how are you?'
People alway confused of that word
We usualy say ' hai ' for 'hello'
What about sorry If I want to apologize to some one what should say
@@mohammedalzawm852
if you want to apologise to someone you should says ' saya minta maaf '.

Apa khabar is a better translation for "how are you" since it is technically a question
Foreigners are usually confused by that word, they think the meaning is "Hi" or "Hey"..
Yes okay

I find it strange that a language does not have its own word for 'hello'!!!
because culturally the Malays dont say Hello to greet people they normally use the Islamic Greeting “Assalamualaikum” among themselves..and most words presented here have Arabic root here..

80% bahasa Malaysia sama dengan bahasa Indonesia.
North Borneo Bahasa Melayu is special. All vocabularies and phrases are similar to west Malaysia but apply Indonesian pronunciation style.
itu bukan bahasa melayu baku.itu lebih kepada dialek.
Nope im from kedah in west malaysia we don't talk like that
