It is very beachy. 🏝 I know… it’s ok. I realize watching me fold isn’t very exciting. UA-cam is a giant computer that counts things like seconds and minutes. I’m just now learning all this stuff. I appreciate you tuning in, whether it’s for 1 minute or 8. 🙏❤️🌈
It is absolutely Beautiful. Definitely going to use those colors together. Don’t worry about the length of your videos. You are very Thorough in your explanation of the process which really helps us out here in Tie Dye land. Thanks again Steph.
Thanks, Tim, I appreciate the pep talk. I can’t make the quality tutorials I want to share any shorter. I’d lose the integrity. The eight minutes everyone sees took me an hour or two. UA-cam doesn’t care though… their computer counts things by the seconds. I just want my channel to have the same opportunity to reach thousands of people so more people can learn this wonderful art form. We all need more rainbows and happy color in our lives. That’s my mantra. 🏝❤️🌈
Great tutorial. I always watch everyday and all the way through. Even if I can’t watch at the moment I turn your video on and comment then I’ll come back after work when I can pay full attention. I hope others can use this approach. You do so much to help us learn it’s the least we can do to help you back.
Thank you very much, Robert! I appreciate you tuning in. The first time in to the tutorial is the only one they count, so if you can let that play from start to finish that REALLY helps. ☺️❤️🌈
I like this! The bronze and gold colors look good. The splatter guard is a life safer and like anything else takes a little practice to get the spiral real tight. Mush easier.
I’m obsessed with making spirals. The splatter guard makes all the difference for me. I really enjoy playing in the dye. Brown and blue is one of my favorite palettes. 🤎🩵♥️🌈
It’s so beautiful and I love it!! The colors really go great together, and it does look like a nautilus fossil!! I am a collector of fossils and rocks!!❤️
Awesome job! I've been working at honing my techniques & found you!.... so grateful to find a truly talented and gifted artisan. you are an inspiration!!!!!
This turned out beautiful. I love the color palette you chose and it looks great as a spiral. It reminds me of the Bahamas. White beaches and blue waters. ✌🏻
I've used the spiral guard after someone in a FB tie dye group recommended it. I love using it. My spirals come out SO much better. Mine are actually tighter than when I don't use it.
I learned from watching #igotdyeonit My spirals are much prettier when I use it but I’m the opposite, my spirals without it are much tighter but sloppy looking. 😬❤️🌈
Hi Steph I didn’t realize that you had commented on a couple of my videos it looks to me though if you put in a link to something it pulls it I found them in UA-cam studios and they are the only ones everything else seems to come through if you want I can give you my email address if that’s not too much trouble I don’t want you to get into trouble putting links on there if you’re not supposed to thanks for all your help😁✌️
I don’t want you putting you personal info here. Just in case. I don’t know what is going on. I’ve tried giving you the links twice. Normally it’s not an issue. Try to contact me by using the links in the description box. I want to help you, Greg. ❤️🌈
@@BelladonnaDyesCo good morning Steph thank you so much for your help I don’t want to be a pest but my wife AKA Miss. And I do watch every short and like✌️
I check to see if you've added something daily after work. Thanks so much for explaining in detail! I have never seen anything you've done that is no amazing
Thank you very much, Starla. I try to upload daily, but sometimes I’m too busy to get to it. They aren’t all perfect creations, but we are learning as we go. I share the fails too. ☺️❤️🌈
Fabulously gorgeous shirt, Steph, WOW! I love the color splits. I have to try that color combo. Have you seen Meo's latest video? Quilt pattern? So beautiful. Thanks for sharing:)
I get my dye from Dharma Trading Company. You’re looking for procion dye and soda ash. www.dharmatrading.com/dyes/dharma-fiber-reactive-procion-dyes.html I have all this listed in the description box…. I haven’t purchased from Amazon, but they sell kits. The closest thing to what I use is Jacquard amzn.to/3bMghUC It’s a good place to start, but in the long run Dharma is more cost effective. Hope this helps. ❤️🌈
I've noticed that about the splatter guard, that spirals tend to be looser. I've always left them fairly loose, but will try tightening them up more. This color combination is really close to my favorite: chocolate, gold, turquoise, & cream/ivory. Maybe split the spiral into 8ths for those colors. Have you tried ivory as a liquid dye? It always turns yellow for me as an ice dye. Would ecru be better?
Ivory leans towards yellow/peachy. It’s the first color in the Dharma swatch playlist. Ecru would look good with the colors you listed. I think it’s more towards the neutral tan/browns. ❤️🌈 ua-cam.com/video/UkU8xTcPE-Y/v-deo.html
I love this method of twisting spirals under the lid. It’s really a quite amazing idea! I recently bought the microwave spatter guard, but it doesn’t have the hole in the center for the forceps. Did you drill that yourself?
I don’t force the issue. I don’t over tighten and if I feel any resistance I stop. As you watch, you’ll notice I actually create the spiral with the other hand. ❤️🌈 #microwavesplatterguardtiedye
I'm not a fan of these colors in the spiral, to be honest. However, I bet they would look absolutely amazing as maybe diagonal stripes across the shirt. Not an X pattern, but just diagonal lines. I'm thinking, it would probably also look good as the basis of a geode style. The colors are so pretty!!!
There’s always something for everyone. I loved the colors on the pleated diagonal I recently did, The one that had the diamond shape. I’m retiring this palette for a little while. It would be pretty as a geode. ❤️🌈
Wow....I can almost smell the beach and hear seagulls when I look at this shirt!

Gorgeous Steph! I love it. It does look like a beautiful seashell spiral. 💙💙💙

Incredible! Very oceanic.
Sometimes simpler is better with a high contrast palette. The splits show off beautifully 🤩
Very! Blue water and golden beaches. I agree, sometimes less is more. ❤️🌈
I haven’t dove into the ice dyeing method yet.. but I Love the results! Thank You for being So detailed in your instructions. You are an inspiration 🌻
