I really appreciated your video. Considering the challenges you face setting up and imaging in your apartment complex, I will never complain again because my deck only faces east. With all the lights on your dedication to prevail was inspiring. Keep up the efforts.
Thanks for making this video. I just ordered my hyperstar so I my learning curve with the 9.25 edgehd continues!!!!. Appreciated your shout out to @wvastronomy and Jonathan! Your image turned out great! my only criticism is the intro and almost outtro music was louder than the speaking so I had to adjust volume a couple times... but that is nit picking,,, GREAT WORK! keep it up!
Depends on what you're imaging. Any darker nebula go for 1 minute to 2 minute exposures. In a nebula like Orion go for like 30 seconds. You can even mix it all up
Recently bought a Celestron 6se optical tube to use with my Celestron CG-4 mount equipped with a Astro-Gadget motorized go to conversion kit. Am watching videos to see if I want to invest in a HyperStar. Nice video. Just subscribed.
Nice editing, setup and the image Scott!! Nice editing, setup and the rest Scott!! clicking the link from the Facebook was not a mistake : ) keep up mannn
Good video, I am getting ready to use the same exact setup that you have with scope & hyperstar. What are your suggestions on exposure times for objects like M20- M 16 and around that area of the sky. I dont want to over expose the image, when I could stack 20 or more short exposures with ASIAIR PRO. Thanks and keep up the interesting work, they call it a hobby, but I call us all who do this junior scientists. Not only do we do the hard work we learn more each passing day just like when we were in high school in a classroom with our teacher, only she does not have to give us homework we do it our selves not looking for a grade as we grade ourselves!!
How does the filter fit the camera?does it screw inside the adapter ring? Have a c9.25 and just tried Hyperstar for 1st time. Amazing. And what an absolutely marvelous image. Do you think I could achieve something similar with my C9.25, hyper star and ASI294? I have just been using it for EAA so far without the hyper star. And my exposures have been about one or two seconds for a total of five or six minutes. What do you do with all the 2hrs of images? All new to me! Great channel - subscribed.
Yes, there should be an adapter that fits the inch and a quarter filter near the camera. I'm unsure if a 2-in filter will fit. I would go for 30 seconds to 60 second exposures. The results are amazing
@@CosmicSandcastles inside the camera “front bit” there is a black bezel thingy with 4 Philips head screws - looks to be retaining a piece of clear glass in front of the CCD. Under that it looks like a 1.25” female thread - do I remove the glass and screw in the filter? Oooh-er. Nervous!
I purchased the hyper star on cloudy nights from someone and I'm unsure about the weight but I wouldn't put too much to where it starts bending but it usually fits my camera in the off-axis guide her in any other attachments I need

Thank you Joseph! That means a lot for someone to see that.
The beginning was very relaxing. You should make a full-length ASMR video with this dope ass camera.
Lol an ASMR of me eating chicken wings with Ranch

Nice, yea I haven't imaged M20 or M16 yet but I would say 2 to 3 min exposures.

great video!, whats the name of the app you used for forecast at the beginning?
Right on, thank you.
It is called Adtropheric
Astrophoeric
Excellent video Scott..can we capture alpha centauri
I'll check into that. I haven't done that one yet.
@@CosmicSandcastles will be waiting as usual
from where did you buy the hyperstar ?
please attach the link
how much weight can the c9.25 corrector take?
I purchased the hyper star on cloudy nights from someone and I'm unsure about the weight but I wouldn't put too much to where it starts bending but it usually fits my camera in the off-axis guide her in any other attachments I need
How many 10sec exposures did you get?
I mixed different exposure times from 1 sec., 10 sec, and 1min. For 2.5 hours
@@CosmicSandcastles yes I seen in your description that you had an amount of exposures taken for each duration but you didn’t list the 10sec.
I can't remember. The more the better though, you get less noise and it's easier to play with the data
hmm I think the natural colour lost the contrasty red tint
it's a bit colourless
Yes I was editing for a while and just sent it
I like to see detail in my images HYPE STAR images are low in detail and full of hype
