A great third album by Tull. Sossity, your a woman. Another superb acoustic piece.
Feeling glad evey time I'm listening to JT since 1969
Que años epasado con estos super Músicos de primera los tengo en mi corazón y más esta época de oro ❤
I think that most of what they created from the start up to and including minstrel in the gallery was just brilliant.
I’m the same there early albums where by far the best… I love JT such unique music and lyrics… I had all of Tull albums up to songs from the wood then I think they went a different direction… Thanks love seeing Tull postings
My first album by Tull and I could probably do all the lyrics by memory over 50 years later.
THE BEST LINE-UP.
For me the best line up is : Anderson, Barre,Hammond,Barlow,Evan...live in concert 1971-1973 are amazing ! Bye
Tull's first three albums were amazing great songs and then of course came Aqualung and everything blew up! 😮
Those first 3 albums are the ones I still listen to the most (by far).
me too, the 1st 4 (up to Aqualung)
I wouldn’t call “This Was” a great album. It definitely is good but nowhere near the caliber of “Stand Up” and “Benefit”
Really ? TAAB SFTW HH SW best stuff to me
Ian is a an under fed tripping leaping forest gnome ..... Luv that dude .
haa, Almost spilled my wine.
Nice work. I love this song.
Thank You
"Ol Jeffrey makes three" After being referenced in 4 songs, Jeffrey succumbed to the pressure and joined the band LOL.
He was in the band before it was The Band.
One of my favorites! And I think the first one I learned on flute... very easy to play.
This album is my favorite. Thank you !❤
Empezaba la GRANDEZA que aun persiste!!
Thanks for Listing. Tull is a great Band. Greetings from Berlin 👍
Thank You from New York
@@anth-nyThanks, Music connects 🎸🎶👍
Amazing photos, haven't seen all those, really classic.
A great video accompanying to a great Tull tune.
Thank You
❤ Adorabili. ❤❤❤
Bellissimo 🎉🎉🎉❤
I thought Benefit was their best album
Gruppo molto mistico❤
And this song never made it onto the radio way back when?
Is this a question or just a comment ? Asking because of the question mark. I'm not sure if any of this album got radio play, but it should have.
@@anth-ny Really a question as I was about 3 years old at its release. Radio back then was quite the experience Im told. There are all sorts of songs that used to be played that have faded from social memory. This song is so nice and different I would have thought it would have made it on the air and been well recieved. EVERY Tull fan that I know loves this tune. Hell I can just see myself and good friends sitting back in a jungally garden, playing songs, sipping beer, whiskey, tea and pot.
@@anth-ny One song got some play. Cant remember the title but has the line "How many cigarettes did I bring along." Oh and the Witches Promise was on WLPJ NYC in the late 70s early 80s
I remember WPLJ 95.5, good station back then. I forgot Witches Promise & Teacher were on the radio. they aren't actually on the Benefit album like 'Inside and To Cry You A Song' but the same time period.
@@anth-ny Wait, are you from Ozone Park?
To my dad
Interesting photo at 3:07 - the 1975/76 band with Clive Bunker and Glenn Cornick in attendance - wonder what the occasion was ?
Got together during the time M.U. The Best of Jethro Tull album was being released. I've always thought the M.U. meant something such as Musicians United. Never did fing out. Meanwhile, The photo is a 12" X 22" poster that was included with that M.U. The Best of Jethro Tull album.
@@anth-ny great info ! Anderson said he saw the band as an extended family where ex members went off to make their own music but still retained a link, this proves it.
I used to think MU stood for Musicians Union but I yours makes more sense - cheers !
@@anth-ny I got this poster - allways reminds me on The Last Supper painting with Jesus/Ian in the centre.
Exactly what I thought when I 1st saw it.
@@anth-ny Musicians Union is what the initials meant..
I mean to
me too
