Whoever is reading my comment. Dont take the heating issue mentioned by Ranjit lightly. I sold my pixel 6A last week. Its so uncomfortable to touch and use the phone with tesnor chip ( exynos) is that the whole metal grill is like hot rod. Believe me my thumb and palm was burned in prolonged usage of 20 mins or so on mobile data. Its that HOT. So before throwing away your money , listen carefully to what Ranjit says.

Google needs to listen to Indian users because the Pixel can hold quite a good percentage of market share if they start to introduce service centers, self repair programs and listen to feedback from Indian users and actually move to TSMC instead of using samsung for chips. Ranjit Sir : As a Pixel 4a user, i can confirm that Google does slows up the charging speed quite a lot when the temperature sores up. G2 has serious heating issues even when compared to S22U's SD8 G1. I was doing a basic speed test between my S22U and my father's 7Pro. I opened 10 basic apps, did some ram management testing and the Pixel was getting pretty hot even though I didn't open any intensive apps.
Google actually came out and addressed the heating issue with this phone and said they are going to fix it.... So I am waiting for that.. and it would be very nice to people like me waiting, if you could make an updated video on it IF the update drops.. Thanks in advance :-) Edit: I came here from TechBar video on Pixel 7a
I agree with most of Ranjit's points except for the camera stabilization, I think it may be a problem with his device. Also, if anyone has any questions or something that they wanna ask me, I'm open to answering :)
Even I was drawn to the pixel 7a with all the hype around it and was about to buy one for my sister, but after seeing Ranjit's review, I'm planning to go with S21FE 5G now which I got for myself 3 months back. Amazing phone, got it for 30k, it is the best you can get for in this range if you're looking for a premium, almost flagship level device if your usage is not too heavy.
Pictures taken with ultra wide camera is also showing 16 mega pixel though the camera is 13 mega pixel. Just check, is it the same with your device too or just a glitch in my device? Anyways good video. Keep it up sir.
I think we should wait 3-4 months so that google can fix the software issues and also we all know the price will drop drastically within few months. I was too waiting for this phone but now I will wait for the Nothing Phone 2 as software experience is my main priority
I've been using pixel 6a for 7 months now, let me tell you, this heating issue is such a deal breaker, I mean I have to carefully pick phone cover so that the heat gets dissipated better otherwise you simply just can't hold the phone during summer season in delhi when using outside, plus I'd recommend keep the background app count as low as you can. Otherwise the phone is good just a few bugs you will find while using it for some time and the heating I wish gets resolved atleast be brought down please.
Either he is over exaggerating or the issue is fixed with the Android 14 update. Watching UA-cam for the last 1.5hrs with 5G network and not feeling it heated a tad!
The shaky stabilization is an odd occurrence, i think it might be your particular device. I've been using the 7A and the stability has been rock solid, even while zooming 🤔.
I have been using Pixel 4a since November 2020. Nowadays it's becoming dangerously hot even during charging. The reason why I have stopped charging it overnight.
just used Pixel 7a and it is true that it does heat more than the normal. i used camera for not more than 5 min and clicked 4-5 pictures , the phone got warm and it was a evening time with no sun.
Thanks, you saved me from a bad decision. Pixel UI and Gcam would always be close to my heart but their processor & dull screen are a let down. Was expecting a better device this time ...
Planning to buy this phone as I'm a huge fan of Pixel. This would be my first Pixel phone. Does the heating issue still exist or did Google address it?
Sir, I own a OnePlus 8t and had a very bad experience with both OnePlus and Oppo devices with their motherboard crash. Now I'm planning to move to the Pixel devices. Looking at the current prices I can see that Pixel 6a is a great deal, but still Pixel 7a is pulling me because of its 90 hz display and Sony IMX786 sensor compared to very old sensor on Pixel 6a. But the only thing I'm worried is about prices. I'm not getting that interest to spend huge amount of money on smartphones. Do you think the 6GB RAM and 60 hz works for me, as I have 120hz and 12gb RAM on OnePlus 8t Please advise me on this.
Wait for Nothing Phone 2, camera might not be better than Pixel phones, but you will get a good all rounder smartphone with clean ui and good performance with no or litte heat issues compare to Pixel 7a.
I would actually say wait for the next Galaxy S FE (S23 FE) - these phones have excellent camera, great chipset (ignore the exynos ones), and amazing software support. I'm using the S20FE (2022 edition) right now with Snapdragon 865. All apps are as fluent and snappy as you can ask for, and I've rarely seen this phone lag, only when starting up or when it's at like, 5% charge remaining. Also, this is 2 gens old at this point (S20, S21, S22), still is a Phone I'm comfortable saying that I can use for another few years without issues.
Please suggest me that can i buy this pixel 7 for exchanging my iphone 13 whice is 3 months handset. Please let me know. Can I buy this pixel 7 or I keep my iphone 13
@@renjithrenju8088 yes if you multi task it heats up. It really gets hot. Overall every pixel has this issue in India. In summers its unbearable. But now in Monsoon it's going good. I have 3a , for last 3-4 yrs.. before that pixel 1.. this 3a , excellent phone but same negatives .. heats up , charging slow and poor, discharges early.. camera not bad at all.. wifi good...camera back up on Google excellent.. so that's a big advantage.. but this 3a is only 64 GB so with what's app msgs now this gets full and sad to see this.. difficult to put a pendrive and take data.. only gets backed up.. so many negatives, some good positives.. depends on what I wish to do with a phone... Direct Google so updates are great.. rest same.. now used to pixel that difficult to leave like iPhone lover is.. but they could improve more .. nice review thank u sir.. will plan before I get next one.. hopefully not before this one crashes..
A SIMPLE SOLUTION to the network issue !Upon reading a thread on Quora, I came across two potential remedies. The first is to consider switching to an eSIM, which can provide an alternative and potentially more stable network connection. The second option is to reset the internet settings on the Google Pixel 7a, which can often resolve connectivity issues. Additionally, you may find it convenient to create an on-screen widget shortcut for quick access to the network settings.
I use a pixel 4a only for photography purposes (I've used that as the primary device for 1 year). The battery life became horrible after a year suddenly.. e.g. after playing 2-3songs on spotify, the battery is down by 5%. And the heating issue was there from the first considering it's a small phone, but nowadays just connecting to WiFi heats it up. And if you use the phone for UA-cam, Snapseed etc., it'll heat up unusually.
I also had the same problems with my pixel 4a, but i didnt changed my phone and sticked to 4a, and surprisingly after few updates heating problem almost disappeared and battery got better though not the best but still its better considering that it gives almost 6-7 hrs backup with my wifi on and youtube, fb, insta, whtsap.....and its been now almost 2.5yrs since december,2020
I'm using a pixel 7 pro and while it does get hot, at heavy usage, it does not get uncomfortably hot though. I played games as well and it was fine.. But in day to day usage I still prefer my P7P more than my iphone 14 pro. It's just so intuitive and fluid and takes the top for me. Also, the photos are just 🤌
Hello Ranjit. I am having same issue with Pixel 4a. Heating and switching off under normal usage of Android Auto for navigation and music on Spotify, using mobile data. Google should do more research for heat management for Indian conditions. I will have to think again to consider a Pixel, for my mobile upgrade which will be around this Diwali.
I suggest to use signal booster at your home which operator would provide on request. Weak mobile signal below -100db will cause increase in radiation as mobile will boost signal to balance low network. Even ideal data connectivity will push mobile to increase power in low signal reception
10:50 in 2023 if u are paying more than 20-25k for android phone and charging speeds are going to 2hrs its a serious issue, instead of giving wireless charging google should have given at least 30W charging.
If Google start using tsmc fabrication, believe me nothing will compete with pixels.Clean and sofesticated software, best in class cameras, unique designs and Google's optimisation man, pixel 5a used to last even 8-9hr that was with a snapdragon processor.
The heating issue is not impacting all users. I just faced heating issues during i initial setup but never after that. Not sure if its some faulty devices reaching some reviewers like you coz not all are facing this issue.
i didnt even consider that the local temparature would be factor into choosing your phone, does that mean the phone over heats quiet a bit ? Noted i live in Montreal hence, the temperature wouldnt surpass 35 degrees celcius in the summer
The charging issue I also felt in 6A due to the heating issue, I am from Rajasthan and it is charging so slowly due to the fact that the outside temperature is almost 45 degree and yes still the heating issue is there in 6A as well.
IMHO the problem with heating ,sub par camera performance and battery life can be ascribed to tensor g2 chip which is based on exynos . Also a sub par modem is causing connectivity issues for many. AI is not the panacea for a sub optimal hardware.
I've been watching it in my brand new Pixel 7, my genuine review about heating issue is that mobile surely heats for few days , after that AI managed it very well. :)
I have read that there are issues with the google app that is is causing heating and battery issues which has made google release a server side update. I own a pixel 7 and do acknowledge that there are some heating issues but not yet at the point of making me feel uncomfortable.
There isn't any phone in Indian market that's worth buying. Only Poco F5 comes close but even that takes a hit on the camera quality and software experience.

mobile phone these days are so important component of life. if it is not reliable then what is the use of getting such a mobile phone with so much compromises in the name of google and pixel experience.
I have purchased this phone on the first day but whenever I'm in call or using any application phone gets stuck and it's getting restarted automatically😢😢 don't know why this has been happening...I have been using pixel 4a but didn't face any issue till date
Loved the line "for people who are in AC rooms" 😂 Pixel should be put in a cold storage until they shift out of the Exynos SoCs. I am still confused at them going with Exynos when Samsung themselves are working with Snapdragon and rightly so. At 40k I would rather try out the Moto Edge 30 Fusion or Ultra for the pure android and physical service centers which don't take 4 days to answer a question and after charging 850. Camera and size would be a bit of a trade-off.
As a first day buyer, just want to point on 2 things. 1. The amount of heating has reduced from the 11th or so day onwards. It just gets slight warm during charging and rest is manageable 2. The battery discharge rate has also become much better. Had days of battery discharging from 80 to 20 percent in 6 hours in sleeping condition. Now it’s much better and as other phones. Yes, the charging speed is slow as per today’s standards. No where getting around it. Some days it took close to 3 hours, now it has settled to under 2 hours. The AI was the culprit for most parts and now I think the heat is manageable after what I’ve gone through. The charging speed is slow to protect the battery. That’s the say. Putting all at side, the camera and the body makes up for it. 😊
I have the iPhone 12 mini and it gets uncomfortably hot while using on mobile data. I understand the pain of owning these hot magmas. will most likely sell this one and get a snapdragon device.
Don't know about others but after purchasing and switching to pixel 6a my mobile addiction is gone 😂😂 can't use it roughly like my previous Mobile due to charging and sometime in hot sunny day due to heating 😅

G2 has serious heating issues even when compared to S22U's SD8 G1. I was doing a basic speed test between my S22U and my father's 7Pro. I opened 10 basic apps, did some ram management testing and the Pixel was getting pretty hot even though I didn't open any intensive apps.
The review which I was waiting for. Thank you😍😍
You are always straightforward... Keep it up, thanks for being this much clear on the India requirement.
Heating issues are really irritating if surrounding temp is also high. My s21 fe is burning my hand, i am afraid that it will burst any time😢😢
I was thinking to buy s21fe but that heating issue is a deal breaker..
@@naveenparuuthi1868 case can be worse if you will use a rugged case

He is indian MKBHD calm , no gimmicks, straight to point, honest.
Google actually came out and addressed the heating issue with this phone and said they are going to fix it.... So I am waiting for that.. and it would be very nice to people like me waiting, if you could make an updated video on it IF the update drops.. Thanks in advance :-)
Edit: I came here from TechBar video on Pixel 7a
Exactly, same here, i also came after listening to his video only & i have commented the same in this comment section only
I agree with most of Ranjit's points except for the camera stabilization, I think it may be a problem with his device.
Also, if anyone has any questions or something that they wanna ask me, I'm open to answering :)
100% agreed, please sir make review of A54 it was 38-40k bcz all are busy in making video of S23 ultra, S23 literally no one making video of A54...
Great Review ✌️keep it up sir👍
Thank you so much sir for discussing unheard points. Please cover poco f5 too.
Never buy poco. I have poco m2 pro. Its horrible. I will never buy poco
@kodesque2492 which one do you have s21fe or pixel 7a?
@kodesque2492and did you get any other after that?
Thanks man for yours genuine review..
Best channel for mobile reviews
The no-nonsense channel for mobile and other electronics. Thank u Ranjit for not wasting our time.
Either he is over exaggerating or the issue is fixed with the Android 14 update. Watching UA-cam for the last 1.5hrs with 5G network and not feeling it heated a tad!
Bought this today. Just after reading ur comment. I have watched other youtubers videos also. That the issues are resolved. But dude ur comment.... ❤
The shaky stabilization is an odd occurrence, i think it might be your particular device. I've been using the 7A and the stability has been rock solid, even while zooming 🤔.
@7:56 That's the reason I like Ranjit sir, he is straight forward and direct unlike many other youtubers who talk diplomatically correct lines.
I have been using Pixel 4a since November 2020. Nowadays it's becoming dangerously hot even during charging. The reason why I have stopped charging it overnight.
This is the reason ranjith didn't get more views bcoz Google won't send the notifications for viewers..😂😂 most honest review...👍👍
Mr.Ranjith gives actual review of the phone unlike other people who Just explains specification
just used Pixel 7a and it is true that it does heat more than the normal. i used camera for not more than 5 min and clicked 4-5 pictures , the phone got warm and it was a evening time with no sun.
Thanks, you saved me from a bad decision. Pixel UI and Gcam would always be close to my heart but their processor & dull screen are a let down. Was expecting a better device this time ...
@geekyranjit appreciate your efforts to provide honest reviews.
Could you do a comparison video between Pixel 7a and Motorola Edge 40?
Geekyranjith = honest Reviews 💐
Planning to buy this phone as I'm a huge fan of Pixel. This would be my first Pixel phone. Does the heating issue still exist or did Google address it?
Not anymore... Just go for it.
Sir,
I own a OnePlus 8t and had a very bad experience with both OnePlus and Oppo devices with their motherboard crash.
Do you think the 6GB RAM and 60 hz works for me, as I have 120hz and 12gb RAM on OnePlus 8t
Please advise me on this.
Wait for Nothing Phone 2, camera might not be better than Pixel phones, but you will get a good all rounder smartphone with clean ui and good performance with no or litte heat issues compare to Pixel 7a.
If You want a phone like Oneplus then Wait for edge 40 it has great combination of Hardware and software at 30k
I would say go for pixel 7a when it gets discounted
I would actually say wait for the next Galaxy S FE (S23 FE) - these phones have excellent camera, great chipset (ignore the exynos ones), and amazing software support.
I'm using the S20FE (2022 edition) right now with Snapdragon 865. All apps are as fluent and snappy as you can ask for, and I've rarely seen this phone lag, only when starting up or when it's at like, 5% charge remaining.
Also, this is 2 gens old at this point (S20, S21, S22), still is a Phone I'm comfortable saying that I can use for another few years without issues.
@@karanssh Pixel performance and Battery and also Slow charging doesn't make it practical for everyone
Please suggest me that can i buy this pixel 7 for exchanging my iphone 13 whice is 3 months handset. Please let me know. Can I buy this pixel 7 or I keep my iphone 13
Just bought Pixel 6a, I think I made the right decision. Its a fabulous phone, be it a year Old but its well Optimised.
Thinking of doing the same and buying a Pixel 6a
Bro Any heating issue?
@@renjithrenju8088 yes if you multi task it heats up. It really gets hot. Overall every pixel has this issue in India. In summers its unbearable. But now in Monsoon it's going good. Pixel 6a has everything you need from a pixel. Getting it at 25-27k is the best thing. You can have this phone for next 3-4 years.. considering it will go up until Android 15
Sir,
Good and Frank review. I have got a clear idea from yu before buying this phone.
Geniune review. Nobody talked about use this phone under AC only.
How's 7a camera compare to 4a ??
waiting for moto edge 40... hope you review it soon
Also, the photos are just 🤌
Thank you for this comprehensive review (y)
After update, is the heating issue resolved
Thanks for the video. Very helpful in making the decision.
Poco f5 5g mobile review needed Ranjit sir.... I am waiting for your review on it. Because it's a first 7gen 1 processor mobile in India
Great review as always
This smartphone reminds me of Yu Yuphoria. That smartphone had similar design on the side frame with the slight matt finish.
Sir, can you please post a detailed review regarding one plus 11R.. 😊
You killed the review here itself 0:59
10:50 in 2023 if u are paying more than 20-25k for android phone and charging speeds are going to 2hrs its a serious issue, instead of giving wireless charging google should have given at least 30W charging.
Thank you for such reviews 🎉
Following ranjit since 2012. OG of Indian tech industry! Great review but still believe that pixel 7a would be a great phone under 30k during sale
After watching this video no one is going to buy 7A. Good review.😊
boy you dont know the psychopath in me
i didnt even consider that the local temparature would be factor into choosing your phone, does that mean the phone over heats quiet a bit ?
I always watch his reviews because i think he is the only reviewer who delivers a best and honest review
I've been watching it in my brand new Pixel 7, my genuine review about heating issue is that mobile surely heats for few days , after that AI managed it very well. :)
What is your review now ??? It heats while using camera or watching youtube ???
Google should launch this in winter like pixel 7 or 7 pro 😜
Thanks for the honest review…after saw this video….I was just cancelled my order ….
If you have money iphones are available
@@zuesr3277 no headphone jack, no charger, no 3rd party apps like (Revanced, free Spotify), compatibility issues with devices that aren't from apple, no full transparency when connected to pc, caller app sucks, ugly notch, average selfie cam, even calculator app sucks. I hate iPhones with all my passion. My dad owns iPhone 13 and I roast it on a daily basis.
Sir is there any chance Google fix the heating issues thru OTA Updates? Or is it worth buying if they refuce the Price below 35k. What do u think Sir?
Sir I am confused between Pixel 7, Motorola edge 30 ultra, iPhone 13 and Samsung s22 Please suggest me one 🥲
Pixel 7
iPhone 13 will last you the longest. And for goodness sake, you will have a better software experience on iphone
S23
iPhone 14
If you want good hardware then edge 30 ultra
mobile phone these days are so important component of life. if it is not reliable then what is the use of getting such a mobile phone with so much compromises in the name of google and pixel experience.
I have purchased this phone on the first day but whenever I'm in call or using any application phone gets stuck and it's getting restarted automatically😢😢 don't know why this has been happening...I have been using pixel 4a but didn't face any issue till date
Glad I watched this video, I was about to buy the pixel 7a.
Loved the line "for people who are in AC rooms" 😂
Pixel should be put in a cold storage until they shift out of the Exynos SoCs.
How are heating issues after the Android 14 update?
@@rishabhsoni2178don't exist
I have the iPhone 12 mini and it gets uncomfortably hot while using on mobile data. I understand the pain of owning these hot magmas. will most likely sell this one and get a snapdragon device.
Heats up and stops taking the video?! Well that's a no no. Thanks ranjit you are the best
Sounds like Google phones are not made for Indian users.? All I ever read and hear is overheating issues time and time again.
Don't know about others but after purchasing and switching to pixel 6a my mobile addiction is gone 😂😂 can't use it roughly like my previous Mobile due to charging and sometime in hot sunny day due to heating 😅
Good Review👍
Nicely laid out Pros & Cons unlike another UA-camr who is recommending Pixel 7A over Pixel 7 just because Skin Tones & Colour Accuracy in 7A's pics are to his liking😅
Does the pixel 7 also have heating issues while gaming?
