TIP! If you find an island with regular trees, you’ll always get a piece of furniture from shaking one of the trees. So often it won’t be a complete loss.

Yeah I make sure to shake every tree before I leave an island even if it's a crap one cause you get wasps and furniture.

Tip; If you were on the bamboo island at night, and cleared the land, it's one of the best tarantula spawning ones!

@@dagoldentoast7364 mole crickets dont affect spawns. i thought they did which made me crazy. Then i started playing while watching youtube videos and stuff, not listening to crickets and digging them up. Still filled my inventory of 30+ tarantulas
I'm currently on a bamboo island with everything cleared off and all I'm getting is tiger beetles 🙃 I managed to get ONE scorpion.
You should have shaken the trees! 1 furniture leaf (and 1 wasp nest) is guaranteed every island with tree! Wasted opportunity for around 50 furniture pieces..

i quit watching after the first island. That was the large-fish island. All fish in the river would be black bass so no need to fish there. Only go for the ocean and cliff top spawns. Easy full inventory of Red Snappers which is 3000 each with a couple of bigger fish such as oarfish, stringfish, and prob sharks and stuff according to ur hemisphere. This island has only size4+ fish so no golden trout (size3). In this case, if you are good at estimate the size by the shadow, you could avoid all sea bass (size 5) and go for the red snappers (size 4) and oarfish or other big boys(size 6). Also make sure to fish every fish spawned next to the pier, cuz they could be blue marlin or tuna.
I really dig how there is a lot of ways to make cash in this game.. especially paying off all the damn loans..😆

ikr I had just gotten that island and caught around 6 oarfish, 3 coelacanths, 2 blue marlin, 2 tuna and the rest red snappers at 3,000 bells a piece you can make so much money on that island.

Actually, go for their pier. I think a lot of people don't even realize that the airplane dock is a pier and you can get the deep sea fish there. I got this island once and I didn't even have to spend a bunch of time to go home with 3 Blue Marlin and 2 Tuna. If I had wanted to spend more time, I could have easily filled my inventory. You get Sea Bass too obviously, so it's not every cast, but one of the best places in the game to use bait if you happen to bring it with you and hit this island.
Bamboo island tip -
I always travel with about 20 of my native fruits. If I hit bamboo island I fill my inventory with the whole trees. I think they sell for 2000 or 2400 bells each. I make about 42k per bamboo island trip
everyone else is saying how they found cool rare islands and I'm sitting here with my trash island, everything I fished for was literal trash 😂

The way to take advantage of Trash Island: Trash Island is generally overrun by weeds, as well~ Leif will buy weeds for 20 Bells instead of the 10 Timmy and Tommy do.
Also DIY projects made from trash are kinda fun. Sometimes.

That first island was a form of rare fish island. The large shadows and bass where the give aways. If you had gotten that island at the right time you could have used it to farm stringfish.

If you are in northern, they already left and if you are in southern, you can’t get it until December
How come others get a different island every time but I just get ones with my native fruits and flowers and same fish? Tried about 10 times now always the same thing

It is due to a bug in the game. If you have a resident that's trying to move in but for some reason doesn't have a house then you will always get a native island. To test this, you can try to build a new home so there's room for another resident and the island will be back to random.
you might not have the things for getting the islands, some require having the town hall the latter, the vaulting pole, etc.
ive done A TON of islands and only two i got hybrid flowers. ive done like 100+ islands and like 8 times i got stupid trash and water beetle island

to get rid of a lost item, you need to go around asking villagers/neighbors if the item is theirs, and most of the time they will give you something in return
When the item becomes “what was this again?” its impossible to get rid of it. I’ve tried selling and going into the ocean with a full inventory then when getting something, swapping it for the lost item. I am realizing now I could just drop it at a nook miles island
I found a bell island, where there were loads of rocks which emptied out 18,200 bells each!

@@theemeralddimensions1941 5. You have to break a sixth rock just to pole vault to the center with the money rocks, but it won't drop any monies. The 5 on the island will drop 4 bags of bells and 4 coins of various value~

That is definitely rare fish island at 56. I caught the golden trout and 3 sturgeons in 10 minutes. It’s not that common fish don’t appear it’s that the spawn rate of rare fish is more frequent
I can barely spend miles for a single ticket. Nook miles are friggin pain to accumulate.
If you play a lot, you’ll accumulate them easily if you don’t spend on those furnitures. I have 40,000 already. (Edit: now I have 70,000)
I'm always pisspoor both in the money and miles department.

3 things you should always do on each island
1. Check beach for DIY
2. Find 1 fossil
3. Shake trees for furniture (Except for Bamboo Island)
There’s more to be done. But these are the most rare things to find.

@@stonaraptor8196 Resources. Wood, weeds, ore, the wasp nest, the furniture, sometimes a fossil...even leaving the fruit behind is a waste because you can take it home and sell or craft it and get bells for it.
Always check for furniture fossils and DIY message in a bottle every island will have at least 1 rare item. Something it will have all 3

The other night, I was on a scorpion island😭 you bet I risked my life to catch as many as I could. Now I have one displayed outside and in my house!!
I've heard that only bells work in the shiny holes when you dig up bells. It seems sad that they're not used for anything else. I've wondered if you could plant a flower and get something golden? In the OG Animal Crossing this is how you could get golden tools. It would be neat if you could do a video testing a lot of different things in the holes (since you don't mind time traveling).
But if it's already been datamined and ONLY bell trees work, then feel free to just say so. :)
Went to the first island just now... big fish island (all fish are the big shadow... well I haven't seen a shark or whale, but the biggest shadow I've seen so far) and caught 5 oarfish, 1 Mahi-Mahi, and 20 Snapper in addition to all the bass and turtles. About 100,000 bells trip.

Did anyone catch that the cherry and rock island was shaped like a flower?
Just a comment about his "circle waterfall island", which he hit only twice. All of the fish on that island are large in size. That doesn't necessarily mean anything good since some of the most valuable common fish are small.
However...what makes this island so good is that all of the pier fish, which are quite valuable, are large. So you never have to worry about running into a smaller fish when you fish from the pier and are more likely to get very valuable fish. Yes, you can get Sea Bass also, but toss those back and keep going. If you happen to have fish bait with you, your odds are pretty good, but chase off other fish and check back at the pier as often as you can. It takes a bit longer, but you will end up with a bunch of Tuna and Blue Marlin (in March - April pier fish aren't quite as good).
I got a golden trout today, when I dropped it off at the museum it said you have to be high up and in a stream

Just for the record, you can fill an entire inventory of Dorado on most of those islands that people pass over. Starting with the first one. People don’t like fishing until they realize that’s 15000 x 39

Tarantula Island is real!! I just went there this evening (night time). It is a small-ish square island with a little moat like river surrounding a circle island in the middle. On this little island within an island, there were a total of three trees (two fruit and one regular tree that when I shook it I got a kitchen stand mixer!) and a bunch of rocks. Here, the tarantulas re-spawned like crazy!! You do have to be careful, as it can be tricky when three or four of them start clustering together, as tarantulas are easier to catch when they are alone. However, needless to say, IT WAS AWESOME!!!

To the comment about new leaf being better: Keep in mind Horizons just came out, and new leaf had several updates over the coarse of it's lifetime...including one several years after release. I would suspect and expect they will do the same for new horizons.

@@gektoast4968 It was something he said in the video, lol...and it's like, this g ame ha sn't been out. I'm sure nintendo has update plans. New leaf has a lot of content, and some stuff I miss (Like perfect fruit and larger fruit variety), but I suspect most of that will make a comeback later.
I see very much people struggling with the islands to know wich it is, I have an app called ACNH Guide and you have options to make your own to do list to check, talking to villagers, see wich fishes, bugs and deep sea creatures you can catch at your time and also (you need to do that yourself) point out it wich you’ve caught and donated and wich you need) ,random Dream Adresses and also, the map of EVERY mystery island WITH the name, the percent of getting it, wich fishes and bugs and also if it has trash or sister fruits! (Or other things) it’s very helpful, I recommend it, try it out :)
i once got an island that you would only pull up trash when you fished and had an abundance of large water bugs

Bamboo is the most common of the special islands actually. It has a 10% chance of appearing. Others have 1%-9% chance.
Don't know if anyone's pointed this out yet, or if you figured it out but the reason when you changed your time to 4am and the camera wasn't panning is because it always follows a villager and all your villagers are asleep at that time (some times).

The lost notebook that I found belonged to one of the other characters on my island, the one that does nothing but talk about exercising and working out. He gave me a recipe in return.👍

I went to a tarantula island in my first week and I didn’t realise how good it was
I got to an island with my native flowers (lillies) but all hybrids and it also had rare fish in the rivers, which were mostly the dorados that sell for i think 15,000 bells. This was after 8pm and I got a whole inventory full of the dorados then went back to my island and sold them to C.J and made 450,000 bells! Have been to a bamboo island and a cherry island (my native fruit is apples and flowers are hyacinths and lilies). Have not had any other rare islands other than that.

The first island and the one at 2:52:28 is one that you can turn into a tarantula island after 7:30pm. I cleaned it out and farmed tarantulas until my inventory was full.
I've been to emporer butterfly island. With hybrids of my native flowers. It spawned 4-5 butterflies all the time.

The second island you got is my most comon island and I now hate it. There is something cool about it tho. If you cut over half the trees down and walk around, you'll see some of those very large beatles hidding in the trees but what I do to help is I use the fishing poles and nets to chase the fish out the water so the beatles will spon
the islands I went to always have cherries which I don't want or need since my native fruit is Cherries, I then finally got bamboo island, then more cherries then today I finally got an island with Oranges lol, now I got Cherries, Pears, Coconuts and Oranges...
21faus peaches are my native fruit and I keep getting sent to islands with peaches. I’ve been to an apple island twice. Now I have peaches, apples and coconuts.
You get your native fruit, coconuts, and 1 other fruit from islands. Other fruits (offline) can be gotten via mail, for example your mum can send you letters with random fruit inside
My island is peaches if you want me to send you something let me know.
I only need apples, lilies and roses. That’s all I want.
I’ll visit an island, see nothing, than immediately fly back.
These ticked are the reason the game auto saves.
I think the secondary fruit is based on your native fruit. My native fruit is oranges, and I always find pears. And my native flowers are Hyacinths, and I get that or tulips on my islands, including the hybrid island I found.

I'll admit I'm a new watcher but when was he being rude?? He literally did a three and a half hour stream to test Island RNG and try to debunk misinformation being spread about creature spawns and "hacks" to get rare islands

I had that problem too. Got around it by clicking a time stamp in the comments for a time slightly ahead of when it broke for me

Bamboo island is rare??? I've gotten it like 5 times
Something I haven’t really seen people talk about that I’ve tested a few times now.... the hybrids you get from the islands behave differently. I have come across hyacinth hybrid island twice and hybrid lily island once and what I’ve discovered is that the hyacinth acquired here don’t breed like normal. The blue ones make red for some reason, not purple. The orange ones from the islands make purple. I thought it was interesting. Unfortunately it didn’t click for me until I mixed the orange ones from the island in with the orange ones I’ve bred so I have to start over breeding blue hyacinths for purples 😅😅
I am not sure about the breeding but I've only gotten my native flower (roses) in hybrid island and they make purple and yellow roses? I read somewhere that there are different kinds of hybrids. Like "true hybrids" and "island hybrids" or something.. Like they behave differently
I was trying so hard to get some of those hybrids haha. Someone used my Dodo Code and stole from my island.

Jesus I had multiple people come in and they took all my fruit and flowers and stuff. Now I have to chop down the trees and replant and go to different islands to get my various fruits and flowers back.

I’ve had a hybrid pansy island once (in March during day) and I get hyacinth hybrid island often :) I have native apples and I think pansies? I have both pansies and hyacinths in my shop.
Time traveling makes you less likely to find rare islands I guarantee that's why you're not finding them.

With the hybrid island, when it was March I got it. It was night and there was a bunch of emperor butterflies 🦋 I called it butterfly island

Went to soft shelled turtle island! Raining day: and got 85% soft shelled turtles, 10% pike fish...the rest were black bass and 1 arapaima, 1 dorado. Got a scorpion too...

Also tip if you're so crazy over coconuts eat some fruit and shovel some of them palm trees in so you can plant them at your island

I had that problem too. Got around it by clicking a time stamp in the comments for a time slightly ahead of when it broke for me
if you forget to find the owner of a lost item for a certain amount of time it won't be considered a lost item anymore the only thing i could think of to do with it is to throw it away in the trash can

I think I've been on the tarantula island. But didn't realize it and left before they like... Spawned. I think it was on day 2 of the game.
Been on the garbage island. Money rock Island and the koi fish island... But that was it.

Spiral island is super easy to clear and spawn tarantulas/ scorpions
First island is big fish island and we all know we can farm string fish but I got this island twice outside of the string fish season. Once at night and was able to farm snapping turtles and once during the day and was able to farm oar fish. Made out with around 90,000 bells each time!
