A true gift to the world. I'm proud to say that Ron's first album still remains in the top 5 of my all time favorites, even after 15 years - and I'm a total metalhead! Thanks a lot Ron, shine on.
"Shadow Gospel." Yes! Ron writes of faith, hope, and love. And he does it in a more articulate, thoughtful way than so-called Christian artists. Though I'm a believer, I am not a supporter of a lot of so-called Christian music, which is often homogeneous, derivative, and without the truth of conflict and pain. That's not to say that Ron's music is (or should be) theologically correct or dogmatic. It's music from an honest writer, seeking truth, a fellow traveler with a gift for melody and a literate, poetic sensibility. Isn't that about the best we could hope for?
Ron, thanks for all your songs. I think that you are amazing...
What a lovely, modest guy...
