Excellent work! Been hearing some flushes in my woods when I go check the pond for ducks (Carlton CO - east side of MN).

Been checking out your videos, recently moved to central MN from IL and trying to get out solo hunting Grouse for the first time. I don't have a dog, any areas or advice in general would be awesome! Love the content!

Watching the videos should give you a pretty good idea what kind of cover you want to be focusing on. Young aspen from wrist to forearm size are great, focusing on transitions between that young cover, and swamps, mature pines, or areas of heavy brush. Not knowing exactly where you are It’s hard for me to tell you if you can go out and hunt right by your house or if you need to head further north.

@@HuntMN Thanks for the reply! I'm near St Cloud for the largest major city nearby or Sherburne Wildlife Refuge which I've been trying to find some in. Few hours here and there after work mostly.

@@cheddercaveman you are definitely pretty far south, not saying you couldn’t find pockets of birds, but a day trip a couple hours north would put you in significantly better grouse country.

@@HuntMN Hopefully I can find a day or two and give that a shot then. Thanks again for the advice!
