The government is freaking d7mb to remove the best apps but not fix their own country first
they obviously know more about it than b1den aministration who almost never follows law making procedures. the law making procedure is regulated by the constitution and a president can't violate it. yet b1den regularly passes laws that give favor on the basis of race, which violates 14th amendment. there is a pattern of misconduct from the b1den admin, and it's sad that foreign nations seem to know more about usa law making than our own president.
Tik tok violates Americans 1st amendment every single day. I could care less if social media disappears.

Lol, UA-cam wants to be Tiktok so bad. I watched 6 UA-camrs covering old news from Tiktok today bc UA-cam is so negative & boring. When UA-camrs have to get their content from another platform and that content is 6 months old, thats pretty telling that UA-cam is hella jealous of Tiktok's algorithm😁

I really feel like the West has to change its law so it is a fair playing field. If China wants their apps in the West then they have to allow Western app in their country with no restriction. It's unfair how they cry "WE WANT TO USE YOUR LAW" but they always want to use their law when it suits them.

OK but this is more about a national security issue with China sending those ridiculous spy balloons over here and when confronted by the U.S. China stood ten toes down on their sending spy balloons. Unfortunately, the U.S. can’t trust China so I’m glad the Biden administration is banning TikTok. The U.S. doesn’t plan on infiltrating China so China allowing unrestricted apps from the U.S. won’t solve the more immediate security issue. That the owners of TikTok are suing the U.S. says a lot, in my opinion, considering that the U.S. isn’t even the majority of TikTok’s customers.
Well, the difference is that Google, Facebook, etc., refuse to obey the law that all other Chinese companies need to obey, so they quit. Meanwhile, TikTok gets banned even though it has not been proven to violate any existing US laws.
Apparently, you don’t know what the communist regime is social media cause difference communities that makes people reunite which can pose a threat to china.
The 1st Amendment said Tik Tok should sue.
If I were TikTok, I would remind my young American audience at election time that the Democrats and Biden overwhelmingly support banning the platform that's become such an important part of their lives.

The USA has to introduce legislation that creates a classification called “Hostile Nation”. For hostile nations WTO rules would not apply and companies from a hostile nation would not have a legal standing in the USA. For example they could not sue the USA government for actions taken by the usa to protect the USA from a hostile nation

The U.S controls most of the world's information. Taking over Tik Tok gives them broader reach and is a lucrative deal for wealthy investors. It does absolutely nothing good for ordinary Americans and foreign users of the app.

I don’t really disagree with you however China owns land all over the US. Most of which is located right next to our military bases. No one seems to be worried about that. We’ve also farmed out so many important parts of our day to day operations to China. I think the app is the least of our worries. This is about our government trying to regain some control over the info we can have.
