I don't know how accurate this is as the knife can only damage every 0.4 seconds, even though you can swing it as fast as you want
I think they are only counting when it actually registers a hit so it should be fine.
The attack animation might be bugged, it's still a beta

To clarify some things, the hits are registered when blood comes out, it does the same amount as a shovel (so 6 hits for a baboon hawk etc.)
You can notice on the coil and nut that every half second or so a hit registers with a different sound and spraying blood
Pretty sure the snareflea has a hitblx and you can kill it
And I think the at this 2:06 and the spider is bugger

I think Coil Heads should be stab-able but hazardous to do so. Remember in the Bestiary it says they’ve been reported to spontaneously combust when dissected so it doesn’t really make sense that it doesn’t self destruct when stabbed

Btw i don't think snare flea has no hitbox. Probably it's just hard to hit or something but it's definitely can be killed with a shovel
Snare flea surely can be killed with knife, it's just so inefficient cause of knife attack range. It's requires maybe 4 hits, i'm not really counted

thumpers can die to knife. Bread killed one in his first livestream. It doesn't seem consistent.
I think for some enemies like the snare flea thumper and bunker spider you have to crouch down for the knife to actually hit them
Nah for the thumper and bunker spider it's like the have a hard armored carapace so you can stab through they're tough skin

thumper and spider aren't immune, you just have to crouch for the spider and thumper's hitbox is just weird. you have to stab it from a certain angle while crouched.
Hoarding Bug The sweetest, weakest, funniest character
No hate towards the creator, but a lot of these are inaccurate. I don't know whether or not these are actually true, because this video was made in v50, which was when I started playing, but these are inaccurate for the current version, v64. The knife basically works every 0.3 seconds, meaning not every hit with a knife registers, only the ones that draw blood do.
Butler: 1 hit, as soon as it inflates, you've killed it.
Baboon Hawk: 4 hits, the same amount as the shovel.
Eyeless Dog: 12 hits, the same amount as the shovel.
Forest Giant: 38 hits, the same amount as the shovel.
Thumper: 4 hits, every killable enemy can be killed by every weapon, you just have to know how to kill them with it. For this one, you had to crouch.
Hoarding Bug: 3 hits, more than the shovel.
Bunker Spider: I made a video on this one, 5 hits, you had to crouch.
Bracken: 5 hits, it's a death wish to attempt to kill one with a knife.
Nutcracker: I also made a video on this one, 5 hits, I think you see the theme with the recent ones.
Snare Flea: 3 hits, you had to crouch and aim for it's head.
You left out Masked, Tulip Snakes and Manticoils.
Masked: 4 hits, it's harder than a shovel because the knife hit range is smaller.
Tulip Snake: 1 hit, these guys aren't very durable.
Manticoil: 1 hit, these guys aren't very durable but times 2.
I'm leaving out the Kidnapper Fox, he was never real.
Maneater: 5 hits, a worse fate than death if you try to oppose such a creature with such a measly weapon, and hitting it in it's baby phase has no effect on it's health.
After writing all of this, maybe a like?
Ive spoken with some people and no the spider is not immune, neither is the thumper.
Also you're supposed to crouch when attacking the snare flea lmao

Now try this without god mode, only real creature i could see you being able to win a fight with a knife is a Hoarding Bug only due to them being weak, and the NutCracker
anything else you wouldnt be able to trade hits with due to them doing too much damage or just being able to insta kill you by touch, dont get me wrong i love the knife just i think its not very useful against most enemys.
