Thanks for the history of the Wren. It was very interesting. I knew the legend but didn't know it was connected to a day of celebration or St. Stephens Day. Your wren drawing is delightful.

Love love love listening to your stories! America has many traditions…we had stockings before church/mass and presents afterwards after breakfast.

I have a granddaughter named Wren. Your story has given me so many ideas for her journal I am building right now. I love you creativity and can't get enough of your videos.

That was such an interesting stroy. I loved it. I am French Canadian (from Québec) and our Christmas tradition is gathering as a family (often 20 or more people) and eating TONS of food. The traditional Christmas staples are tarte au sucre (brown sugar pie), tourtière (meat pie), sucre à la crème (brown sugar fudge), Pet de Soeurs (nuns farts 😂 pie crust cinnamon sugar pastry) and ragout de pattes de cochons (pigs feet ragou). Soooooo much delicious food and love around one table. It's my favorite time of year.

Not indigenous, but a family tradition... stockings are filled with fresh fruit and nuts along with peppermint sticks. Oranges are a must as they are rolled then a hole cut in the top to insert the peppermint stick to use as a straw. Not sure why it was started, I think my family brought it over from Germany, but the children got a have a good breakfast. My children were shocked to find out other children got toys in their stockings; but their friends were jealous of my children's stocking.

My family from Switzerland had the same stocking traditions and we in the USA do it to this day.
