I actually love this version of Viego. The extended respects he gives to other fighters that the actual ruined king lacks is quite refreshing…that is until he succeeds in the battles he fights and brings back that pompous taunting. It’s a nice balance.
Weirdly benevolent as the promotional material said.
He only acts superior when he is sure he is, other Viegos could learn some manners like this one

Samira's "stay mad stay bad" gives me life, so quite honestly she still no diffs any legendary skin and some ultimate's (at least imo)
they really did good with that Viego legendary. Also Viego's VO is just so talented.

He has a guile reference to sett and he aknowledges that shaco exists. This is officially better than samira's skin.
This skin reminds me of Odyssey Kayn. Fleshes out the character a lot more, showing more character/personality than the base.

@@SzeleRnah some legendaries are way different from base character. Kayn Odyssey and viego soul fighters both keep the original integrity of the champ. Whilst not being too different. Kayn still is power hungry but his relationship with rhaast has evolved to where they kinda care about each other.
Viego still wants his wife back and is doing the eyes bidding but og viego said im sad dince my wife is dead now everyone dies. He feels like more of a loser who’s just sad he doesn’t get what he wanted. Whilst even though sf viego is a pawn he truly is fighting for his wife to get her back.
Only thing he's missing is isolde chatting shit when he gets a kill or steals a soul. God that would perfect this skin. The voiceover is still absolutely amazing (and actually befitting a legendary, fully recontextualizes the character).

The only concrete display of contempt shown was at the end of the Ruination event where she saw what Viego had become (or always had been deep down) in the Ruined King.

Theirs a stark humility & respect to this man ge gives to his enemies except Gwen. In victory he proves to be more a threat then base viego. Originally i expect the shade to speak to him with words like "do this for me", "i am here, now and forever". This version seems more an unwitting servant.
Something like that would be really cool and improve this skin, the voicelines and worldbuilding to a whole new level

Viego's personality is that he is just incredibly emotionally stunted and has way too much power for someone with the emotional age of a toddler. Like Viego was nice before Isolde died because Isolde was humble and thought of other before herself making her a foil to Viego so it sort of cancels out. Viego was never cruel before he lost Isolde, selfish, most definitely, naive, certainly, but never really cruel. When he has Isolde he is a pretty chill dude.

Look, I love base viego, and the pentakill III vignettes too, but I some of these lines feel a little stilted.
Maybe its the amount of gravel, but the delivery feels like it should be more 'sinister', less gruff-brawler. The long moves lines feel like the right direction to me and the more snooty, kingly lines too. To me, when Sean gets into the more subtle range, he's kills it.
