love those cars man keep living the dream...my son was able to sit in a 69 charger i have never been that close and it is my dream car.....keep showing them man i love these videos.....take care my friend
OMG you sure do know how to have fun and you’re very talented. I really like your videos and only wish you put more out. One thing for sure is that you inspire me to do more to my own junk. Thanks for that alone cheers 🍻 here’s to more fun and beer’s
If the new cooling system has more capacity than stock, don't forget the weight of all the extra water. Same thing if you add oil capacity with an accumulator, oil cooler, and remote oil filter :)
You have a great cameraman that has been watching you for years. I would be honored to do that at anytime if you want. Good morning to you all and I hope that you have a great Wednesday today!
My pit stall for the weekend was right beside the autocross track, so I had a great spot to watch from. Mike definitely won for style points in the General. It was nice to meet you guys, and I'm looking forward to next year.
If anyone is planning a heist, Chris would be the best wheelman out there. You can pay him in 68-70 Dodge Chargers. Lol. I'd love to go for a rip with him. This video is awesome Birdsong
Seems like Patina is well set up. Compared to The General and the other Charger, Patina was handling the corners so much better, almost flat, very little body lean. It was a joy to watch
Two questions Chris, could the condenser be trunk mounted with an electric fan to the trunk to save weight on the front end and reduce heat into the radiator and why didn't you put the battery in the trunk for improved bias ?
you could save alot more weigth by dimpledying the framerailconnectors and framerails ,swap the front controlarms and K-member to tubular but I think you should put a horn back in and if it's a plastic one from the junk yard sad you put 426 in the general down, was a great sounding engine... From a far.
The handling mods you have done to patina are great that thing seemed to be sitting level in all the turns. Too bad the tires didn't let us see how good it really is.
Did you weigh the car with same amount of gas in the tank both times? Lighter torsion bar transfers better??? A stiffer torsion bar is trying to raise the nose, so under acceleration it will lift the nose and transfer weight to the back. Mike shifting tongue side to side for better weight distribution. Olivia was also helping with weight distribution as somethings were also shifting side to side.
Wrong, soft torsion bars transfer weight better. That’s why drag cars run soft front springs just preload the hell out of them. It’s very well known soft springs do the trick I didn’t make this up
@@junkerup Yeah, you are right, I was forgetting that torsion bars have rebound as well, so a softer bar will will rebound easier. You should dry sump that thing and drop the motor a couple inches if you are going to run at Willow Springs.
You should do a contest and see who can guess how many chargers you have owned on video since the beginning of UA-cam. And how many chargers has been on the channel. I'm curious lol! I wish I had the enthusiasm for detail like you have! Patina and daisy and smurf has to be the coolest chargers on UA-cam or even the world!
If you are still worried about the cooling, I would space the condenser out forward , so more fresh air gets to the radiator. Also, on the back fan shroud add a spacer so the back shroud is not so close to the back of the radiator. That should allow more air to get thru and cool that beast . Best of luck. So, how much does the General weigh?
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.
Believe it or not I finally cured an overheating issue on a big block truck by maximizing the vacuum advance adjustments, and also switching it from a ported carburetor source to a manifold vacuum source. Now the temp gauge stays right around 160-170'. My gas mileage got much better too.
That bit of weight reduction might not do too much - you'd have to hog out the entire car and make it as floppy as an old Altered drag car, or spend serious bucks on lightweight parts. There's an article from Hot Rod magazine that I read when I was a kid. "Project Caddy Hack". It may be a very old article, but it was hilarious and had some serious real-world, BIG weight-reduction numbers. I just looked online and some guy actually posted the article. Patina seems like a heavily muscled-up daily driver - I'd leave the weight reduction for a full-time autocrosser or drag car.
You need todo a race vrs general Mayhem V Patina...you should have just done a A833 with 4th being a big OD, and 3rd being the 1:1...if you have over 4-500hp, a 6speed is a waste, you never use 2 gears, 4th and 5th, or 4th and 6th
Chris don't you know the Chineseum anything...... Isn't going to work very well? Whatever you did she's not diving in so whatever you did to the to the shocks is keeping her straight on you eliminated the dive in the corners......
Miss all the blog and bleeps in the channel..... GRAVEYARD CARS SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR YOU TO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE ON A CAR..... (IF THEY STILL EXIST ABOVE GROUND.....)
Got a question do u use Telegram?? Think someone is impersonating you said if I sent 475?$ up front Id be delivered a ZL1 that it was prize in a drawing said I was drawn as 1st prize but insisted I send the 475$ first. Tried to have them call or do video call to be sure was you Chris!!!!
Add yourself .3 of a pound on a button some washer fluid hose and a couple of small misters and mount them in front of any cooler you want because you don't have temp gauges on all those coolers so they're running at different temperatures but if the temperature ever gets out of control all you got to do is hit a button to mist them... And you'll be hitting that heat like Hiroshima. Hiroshima's ready drop the atom bomb in case you didn't know it also works in the pits from oil cooking when you shut the motor down when the temps come down on the gauge the oil still going to cook but to do a real cool down hit the button missed everything it'll evaporate immediately in the heat while taking all the heat with it and you can keep your washer fluid bottle and wipers seriously that way it's like negligible everything else is awesome but I would definitely put washer sprayers in and you can put alcohol in the bottle mixed with some water or straight up just use water fluid but I don't really think you need soap 😂🏁
Too cool, wow Smurf screams, Patina too, I think they will all need tires after this, you even let other people beat on your cars, sweet.
Great video man, I clicked on the like button 10 times already 🙂
love those cars man keep living the dream...my son was able to sit in a 69 charger i have never been that close and it is my dream car.....keep showing them man i love these videos.....take care my friend
Wicked video!!! I'd love see a video with you building one of your 68 Chargers and Bahama mama Roadrunner!!!
The outside rear view mirror delete adds like 5 hp too
Chris separate your race car from your cruiser. Then Daisy comes alive and Patina can still be the big girl but not have to be a fast cat on carpet.
A General Mayhem T-shirt, the only thing in Charger related that both Chris Birdsong and I own. Great video, really loved it.
Superb, thank you for taking us along.
Wow! Chris you "Guy's " should Work together more often, Oliviia got a Great Smile but you are the Man! Dean( Soul) T.O.
Great work Chris, great looking cars ..
I really enjoy watching your show its great
Awesome, every bit of the video is great. Thank you for putting them out.
Thanks for the update Chris

Cool I love the classic cars have owned many in my day
If the new cooling system has more capacity than stock, don't forget the weight of all the extra water. Same thing if you add oil capacity with an accumulator, oil cooler, and remote oil filter :)
Hat is off to ya Brother!!!!!
A man with a Dukes of Hazzard haircut knows what he’s talking about.
You have a great cameraman that has been watching you for years. I would be honored to do that at anytime if you want. Good morning to you all and I hope that you have a great Wednesday today!
Hey Chris are you gonna fix the rust holes on the quarter panels or are you gonna leave it the way it is for now??
Thank goodness you lightened it up so you could add the mods!! Just think how heavy it would be if you wouldn't have!!
Very much coolstuff . But whats with the A-pillars near the roof . Rusted out ?? . Hmm.
Hey Chris thank you for the video I enjoyed it it was smoking
Part where he asked if there was a seatbelt in the passenger seat and your buddy mike said no .i almost fell of the couch laughing ….
Can’t believe guy let you drive his Daytona on the auto cross
Good luck with roadkill garage I know your going to be great!!!
Awesome, I want a mopar so bad watching you
I love it when Chris drives auto cross.
I want to be Chris Birdsong when I grow up!!!
I admire your workmanship.... I would have you build a KILLER MOPAR over Graveyard schmucks any day!!!!!
Love you brother songbird.
how much do the headlight doors weigh?

Awesome 😀👍🏽👍🏻👏🤙🏼
Love the wagon in the drive way.
Chris it's incredible car but you have to add a pound for the door mirrors Lol.
Yeah the way those QA ones are set up will definitely help with nose dive in the corners also or heavy decel sweet🤘
And the rear caliper was hanging from....,.?
Seems like Patina is well set up. Compared to The General and the other Charger, Patina was handling the corners so much better, almost flat, very little body lean. It was a joy to watch
Did you check for the amount of fuel you had when you weighed the car ?
What happened to the white roadkill roadrunner you restored as well as banana roadrunner?
Cool! Bigger, badder, and more better. It is what you wanted...100 pounds is considerable, concerning your beefier upgrades!
1:07:50 - So that's how Patina overheats - blow out the coolant out of one of the many fittings in its Bugatti Veyron-level cooling system ;)
How about fiberglass rear springs?
The towing burnout is forever a favorite

Just found your videos good content like itw
I concur ,,,

Ya ya , but does it fly straight when you jump her???????????????
I also can't wait to see you do something with the red charger behind your house. I believe you said it was your first charger?
When was the last time Daisy was driven?
Wow nice Daytona!
Chris, give me a breakdown on what I am looking at with your battery. I'm lost on just what's going on there. 🤔
It’s a crankcase breather tank and a coolant expansion tank in 1

What's next for the car in the garage?
Uhhh.....won't those swiss cheese bumper brackets cave when a Prius backs into it???
If you want a street tire with autocross Grip , try a set of Dunlop star specs !
Totally agree on the bumpers and carbon fiber is too expensive and fiberglass straight up sucks so helium bags and 100 shot of nitrous boom baby
Chris why not swiss cheese the bumper brackets front and back
The way to lighten it MORE HP's 😁

How much does the patina rust weigh over a painted surface 🤣🤘😂🏁
👍👍👍👍
Patina is 34 lbs over my original guess, and that was when you first said you were going to put it on the scales. These cars are heavy.
Another way you could possibly save weight is making the head lights electrically controlled motored instead of using the old vacuum action
That’s heavier
🤣🤣🤣 " Chinese tires".
How about giving Patina some lightweight bumperettes in thin Ali or paper thin stainless? 😎🔧
Did you turn Amish ????😂😁🤣🧔
Olivia " Fuck these cones"... 🤣 🤣 🤣
Add fiber glass front fenders , hood

I think Finnegan needs you're expertise on that cloned Daytona he acquired ?..
you said aluminium correctly when you said "aluminium heads" 🇬🇧
Sick 🤘🤘
Patina's interior needs to go into the general and general lee's interior into patina.
TaDa!
I can't take my eyes of that blue 68 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Nothing else to say Chris but FUCKIN AWESOME!!!
2:12 and 2:23-24 My 69 Bee driver's door sounds exactly like Patina's when opened and shut.
Why not go tube front end
😆😆😆 " The car rode like ASS".
More like your older videos - teaching us how to do it & why. More betters. Thanks
My back hurts just watching you crawling around under your cars. Bigger space with a lift in your future?
1:04:44 "Doing what it's supposed to be doing." No.... take it over to the 1.5 mile oval then say that.
Do you think you will ever get daisy finished, been watching from the beginning she deserves to be raced lol
Careful what you push through the bung hole! "hehe he"
Leave Patina Alone, She is Beautiful and there is none like Her. Fill the Tyres with Helium or Something, PATINA IS PERFECT.

Gonna have to just drill some holes, swiss cheese it!!
Same amount of gas in it when you weighed it last time gas weighs a lot
Smurf is my favorite…. But General Lee is my favorite….. no, Patina is my favorite….. wait… no, Smurf,Patina,General
everybody happy=think about it
