National Day Parade 2014 MV - Home

NDP 2014 revisits one of the all-time favourite NDP theme song -- Home, which was composed by Dick Lee and first sung by home-grown singer Kit Chan at the 1998 parade. Enjoy this new rendition, featuring local singers with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Firstly, singaporeans complained that the songs they produced over the past few years were boring and not creative and that they preferred the old songs. So they do a mash up on the old songs and some of us still complain. I dont get it. What are they supposed to do? Just enjoy the song and think about the peace and harmony we have and be grateful we dont have to go through any wars like our pioneers did. This is so depressing.

They should use new unknown singers to capture the essence of transition between the old and new. This batch of singers are overused year after year. They are good, but time to use some young and budding singers from the schools etc... Ns45 is about transition. This will resonate well too

The other remixes had new singers. I think this song used old singers for a little nostalgia. However, I feel that the singers at the actual parade were nowhere close to being a great as in these videos.
