Anand quickly drew his game against Aronian, while Pragg had a tough task of defending a minus endgame against one of the best blitz players in the world Hikaru Nakamura. Would he be able to do it? @DHRUV RAMANI, He simply stated the fact and I don't see any disrepect. The truth is the truth and it's nothing but the truth, anyone is allowed to say it and he did not imply anything else, a professional chess player should not blundered a +6, it's naturally expected.
      We are allowed to criticize anyone at their profession the same as they are allowed to criticize yours. You are expected by the society to be fully professional at what you do and you can hold any professionals to practice their profession in the equal standard. You can criticize anyone at their profession because there's an expected standard the same way they can all judge you at your profession.
      It is absolute bullshit that you believe "if you can't do it, then shut up" mentality. In that case, you should NEVER discuss any sport with anyone cuz clearly you can't do them, you should NEVER say a word about anything in life because clearly you won't be abble to do 99.99% of the things as well as their respected professionals, that includes getting a crap haircut, getting a terrible meal in a restaurant, getting a bad service from ANYONE. NEVER say you had a bad teacher cuz clearly you can't teach. NEVER say your plumber or electrician was bad because you can't do it. NEVER say a song sounds bad because you can't sing. NEVER say an art is no good because you can't draw. NEVER say a movie is bad because you can't direct or act.

    Naka needs to get a handle on his body language "tells". That constant head shaking when his position isn't going his way just feeds his opponent's energy. Kasparov has that issue as well. They'd make awful poker players...lol.

    • @ryanjavierortega8513
      @ryanjavierortega8513 5 років тому +9

      popvinnik I believe that after reading a handful of issues of New in Chess from 1986-1988 that feature as many Kasparov pictures as you can imagine (His results from that period are really funny. It's weird to go over these Games of his - He didn't just 'Win,' it looked like an adult playing against children, to use a sports metaphor often employedin discussions regarding Aaron Hernandez.)
      Anyway, in images of Kasparov playing, he almost always is staring at the roof, making extreme and/or drastic facial expressions, or doing magic tricks. It's pretty great to bring that element of drama into Chess (we all know that it is dramatic as can be, but Kasparov was fighting as hard as he could to increase the mainstream popularity of Chess, as well as make sure that it became a part of Western education, just as compulsory as it was when Lenin changed the culture of Russia in one instant and proclaimed Chess to be the high expression of the Socialist mind. It's damned near impossible to not admire Kasparov's desires to make Chess a sport on par with - and I am serious - Tennis. He was realistic...He wasn't trying to make Chess the next Football), and it makes a lot of practical sense why Kasparov may have been acting a bit (at times, you know), and I guess Nakamura would be influenced by Kasparov, particularly given Naka's affinities for back issues of Chess Publications.
      (Humorously (?) enough, apparently only Carlsen is more of a Chess Encyclopedia. He actually memorizes Games from random issues of New in Chess where a seemingly obscure Tournament is covered. In a Post-Game interview with Nigel Short, he made reference to some player I've never heard of playing a2-a4 instead of a2-a3, and how he had been looking for an opportunity to test this Method.... Short said something to the effect of, "Do you know all of his Games?"

    • @popvinnik

      @@ryanjavierortega8513 Well I honestly don't think this behavior is intentional. Some people just lack that part of the brain which controls reacting to various emotion evoking situations. He said something like his facial expression remains constant whether he's mating someone or being mated himself.

      What do you mean "what a stalemate"? If you run SF eval (which I did), Naka had THREE golden moments to shine, and eval even peaked at +6.17, which is enough to win. Sadly, he blundered all of them away which I expect is from time pressure... He has blundered from a win to a draw in online before... In "Especially the knight travel and block the pawn.", you mean Nb6? That's normal - dude I'm a 1200 and I'd-a done that. How is that move amazing in any way? What did you expect - Nxe5??. And about "So much calculations in so little time", considering the fact that there were 5 blunders, 2 mistakes, and 11 inaccuracies, where is your data from?
