Beautiful old station and photos, it's nice to see it preserved. Thank you for sharing.
I appreciate the kind words!
Pass it every day
What a great find! It amazes me what a person can find just be exploring the back roads and small towns of this country. I once read a travelogue by a Canadian writer who took a motorcycle tour of the U.S. He mentioned that someone should do a photo project of photographing the county courthouses because they are so unique and many have great architecture. Thanks for taking us along. I love your images, as always.
Thanks Terry! The courthouse project is a great idea. I remember an artist in Texas who had a booming business selling art prints of Texas courthouses. Shoot them early mornings before cars come -- terrific idea.
What a treasure. Great job.
It really is a treasure -- thanks for watching.
I've been through that station several times while on my way from Memphis to Chattanooga and the last time I was there, I was on a road trip therefore having the privilege to walk through the station, while it was in business in 2018. Three months later, it was shut down which made me sad when I found out
Someone told me recently that it's a restaurant now. Thanks for commenting.
My bus stopped there some time in 2008 when I was on my way back to Memphis.
I stopped there in 2008 on my way to Atlanta from Memphis.
... As someone who lives in this area, I never even knew it was historic lmao.
We never think much about the familiar things
i was there i believe 1990 on the bus and a few years later with a rental car ( Lincoln Towncar) for making foto's.verry nice old building.
