Even though the old generation Scorpio is much more better than the new one ,this one is still performing as good as the old one with limited slip differentials ,but in India The new one does not come with limited slip differential ,but the old generation models may go good even without diff locks,also the old one looks better than the new one ,the new one looks weird
Locking differential is where it's at. ANY real serious off road vehicle has locking diff. All the torque, power distribution, and limited slip technologies in the world won't help you if the working wheel has no traction under it. One time I was coming down a mountain in a friend's Suzuki Jimny we stopped moving at a flat plane because we were in a rut and the wheel getting all the power had no ground under it. We got out of it bul sliding a big rock under the wheel and me standing on the bumper to force the wheel down onto the rock down, moving .3m at a time until we got out. No locking diff = just a trail truck.
Well I bet that it's cheaper to buy this, put aftermarket lockers in it, rather than buying something with lockers as a standard feature. I wish we could have these in the us, I'd be happy to buy and install my own dif kit if I were only able to get this thing
Yes ,after all what you build is more important than what you buy,but I swear Toyotas are better,I have one Scorpio and it has a problem with gear stick getting stuck,a lot of wear and tear in the clutch ,problem with overheating engine etc,so I prefer the Toyota as it can run for a decade without servicing
