The number one thing stopping you from becoming a better musician is lack of motivation. You know that feeling you get when you look at your instrument in the corner and you're like, "Argh, I don't really actually want to play you". Yeah, that kind of lack of motivation.
Now the best musicians in the world are the ones who are continually motivated, continually excited to play their instrument, and literally cannot wait until the next time they get their hands on it.

Thank for the positive motivation today. On projects, I find our amateur jazz band needs a gig scheduled or we lose focus and members find excuses to miss rehearsals. Nothing like a real goal to keep you on track.
