Having a dedicated video done on Touhou Gensokyo Warfare would be awesome. While it does a great job of adapting the game's world (which you often have to actively research and dig for as the creator rarely specific where everything is), it also adapts the world according to its setting. Basically, TGW is an alternate what-if. What if magic starts to weaken within Gensokyou? I do recommend you look into Touhou Project's lore a bit as the significance of what happens with the setting and story is built upon them. Some examples being humans are kept alive so, their fear can keep the youkai scared (hence why the human village is so important) or the importance of the Gensokyo barrier (and to an extent Gensokyo itself)
Yeah understanding all of that would probably be a big bonus, but i'm actually curious as to how the mod introduces this world to people like me, who knows little about it. Is pre-existing knowledge required, or will the mod by itself introduce me to it all?
@@TerryDuke Hmmm, good question. I don't think you need it per se. It's a good bonus to know the underlying lore and see what changed but I don't remember anything that need it . The notes gives enough info on what the major factions are. Though, they don't tell you who the generals or leader are exactly. (recommend you look up the original games's wiki for their story if you find thrm interesting. almost all of them has their own background and story.) It should be fine looking in as an outsider since the mod is packed with stuff and cool enough to discuss but knowing the original lore helps elevate the experience, understanding the ideas they played around with.
Independce of chile mod is made solely by one chilean bloke!, quite aceptable when you know him, hope he gets hlep to flesh out the stuff. Actually you can play as a native american too in that mod, mapuches are kind of southern cone apaches. PD: NEw world takes you to central / north america , south america is from colombia downwards
Thank you for giving CoM&M the attention it deserves. It's criminally underrated, not as well known as many other fantasy mods despite being one of the better ones IMO. One thing I love about it is it's one of the few fantasy mods that has full Custom Battle and MP support, so I can dive straight into huge, epic fantasy battles without having to spend hours grinding in a campaign first. This is something sorely missing from mods like Phantasy Calradia, Warsword Conquest, and The Last Days.
Blood & steel , I played a lot. The doom day is nothing but a seize on durquba town center by evil army & now the evil army will start roaming like bandits do with a size of 400-500 troops. And they are very very powerful. If you wanna see the Seize very early, set the doom day at '1' and start in the Sarranid territory & reach durquba as soon as possible. Evil armies have the best gears. If you manage to defeat them. For defeating them , do not go for any faction army , even you have 2000 faction troops the are nothing compared to evil army. Instead you can go for mercenary troop tree after upgrading them at the top level them become monster, also hire 'Aleph'. Then you will be able to defeat them. Try that you'll enjoy. And sorry for any error in typing if any...
Since Eagle & the Radiant Cross appears to be an algemation of 14th to 16th century stuff, I'd recommend Nova Aetas, which features armours and weapons from the 12th to the 17th century over Calradia 1417, which is based on the arms and armour of the 1410's specifically. In terms of Honour & Glory, I've found it to be a very enjoyable mod, as I find the setting of Eastern/Central Europe during the Early Modern era (not Middle Ages) very interesting. It should be said however that while quite similar in many ways, WFAS and H&G are about a 100 years apart in their setting.
I loved conquest of mine in magic. I had an army of only zombies, because they were some of the earliest to recruit and also had some weird thing with armor, so it was hard to hit them. I had 50 zombies take down dragons and all kinds of wacky s***
I played golden earth pretty good but I was forced to stop after facing some game breaking bugs like there is no prison so u can not save Lords from prison, caravans get stuck in a corner of the map, provocative bug etc.
I like the idea of needing to build up relations just to recruit in the first place. An issue with warband is that villages kinda become interchangeable. If one gets looted, you may lose some revenue for a bit, but you can just go to the neighboring one and recruit anyways. This might make raiding a bit more serious
It does make sense, but it's an argument i've made before in other contexts: realism should not replace good gameplay. All this change does ultimately is make it more difficult and grindy to recruit. I'm fine with it if the mod is just aiming to up the difficulty, as it clearly seems to be, but if it was done for realism, i'd be critical of it.
I already knew that you will cover Honour and glory but never expected that you will ever talk about Blood and steel mod. This one is very nostalgic to me as it is one of the first mods that I ever played for MnB. It stuck to my mind as it have a huge amount of new content and I would be playing it for a really long time if it wasn't so buggy.
@@TerryDuke I'm not talking about stability issues but those pesky little glitches that may ruin whole experience. Hard to recall since I played it really long time ago but I remember one graphic bug that created huge white mesh on one of scenes that messed with graphics and performance big time.
Not sure if youd view back comments but there is an interesting looking mod on steam regarding china. Its a Chinese figure alongside some numbers. It also looks very unique in terms of the hud.
Doggone it, Terry, I'm in Perisno, finally doing well, and you tempt me with these new mods? Am I doomed to eternally jump from one mod to another without ever experiencing the end game?
Well sort of "Wind of the War" is being updated.... latest version 75fix30.1 was released less than a month ago, updated on 07.06.24. every year almost 2-3 updates (if not more). P.S Before that there was version 75fix27 and 29 which were released towards the end of last year (at the time of making this video - they already existed).
Blood and steel was one of the first mods i ever downloaded for warband. It's been years since i've played it, but i do belive raiding villages is incentivized to earn money, so if you're making another video on B&S try that.
Congrats to Terry Duke for being sponsored by... Terry Duke.
Thank you, I've worked very hard to get sponsors, finally!
Also why'd you leave the server yo?
@@TerryDuke I found it distracting, but at least I'm still subscribed.

Oh boy, here I go sinking another 200 hours in Warband trying so many amazing mods
Thank you so much for the list, Duke! Love your content!
Enjoy those 200 hours! 😁
It's a endless cycle terry, as long as youre having fun trying out these mods is what matters
Genuinely don't know how endless it'll be after the next one, but who knows

I almost skipped when I heard the first half.

Always nice to see more of these videos, and to see more medieval mods too
Glad you enjoy them!
I guess its time to bookmark some more mods
Just what I needed this weekend
Nice video! Surprisingly quite a few mods I didn't know about!

Thanks for the clarifications :P
tbh i know a guy who made Chronicles of Might & Magic: 15:13 mod . His pc caught on fire. He stopped making mods and currently work in Pub.
What an anecdote though. I hope he's living his best life!

Everyone knows the best mod is Paradigm Worlds, The C and B torture of Mount and Blade.

Do you ever heard that a mod have it own mod😂😂😂
It's been known to happen 🤣
Yeah, they're known as submods. Gekokujo for example has a lot of them.
Is there a mod which have the whole world or most of the world
16th century covers the entire world, but ads few gameplay elements
warband honestly looks (graphically) better than bannerlord. super charming artstyle. i cant stand the janky command controls tho
Nice🎉

Nope, you forgot to watch the rest of my content 😉
