The most egregious offense a person can commit, in my view, is obtaining a work permit from a foreign country while serving as a minister. Khawaja Asif's acquisition of an Aqama (work permit) from a foreign nation stands out as a rare and concerning act among ministers worldwide. Despite this, our courts opted for leniency rather than imposing a stringent penalty. Such actions not only undermine Pakistan’s credibility internationally but also suggest an underlying intent for activities like money laundering. Foreign jurisdictions do not list residents with Aqamas as holders of foreign wealth. Pakistan is in the clutches of criminal mafia. The Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam is dead.

Why military rule is economic failure always :
The central bank of Egypt had $10 billion deposit each from Saudi Arabia and UAE. There is another $4 billion deposit from Qatar and $2 billion from Kuwait to help this Israel neighbor. The 10 year rule by Ex General now President El-Sisi did not bring economic growth to Egypt. Since deposit return was unlikely so in Feb 2024 UAE bought Egyptian tourist land using this deposit and this month Saudi Arabia has offered to buy another tourist land with its deposit. Military dictatorships like Egypt, Myanmar, North Korea all show economies in collapsed state after years of military dictatorship. Any country run without laws by Rule of Fear can never succeed. Yet Pakistan is still planning the same failed method to get investments and business growth.
