The peanut (Arachis hypogaea), also known as the groundnut,[2] goober (US),[3] pindar (US)[3] or monkey nut (UK), is a legume crop grown mainly for its edible seeds. It is widely grown in the tropics and subtropics, important to both small and large commercial producers. It is classified as both a grain legume[4] and, due to its high oil content, an oil crop.[5] World annual production of shelled peanuts was 44 million tonnes in 2016, led by China with 38% of the world total. Atypically among legume crop plants, peanut pods develop underground (geocarpy) rather than above ground. With this characteristic in mind, the botanist Carl Linnaeus gave peanuts the specific epithet hypogaea, which means "under the earth". The peanut belongs to the botanical family Fabaceae (or Leguminosae), commonly known as the legume, bean, or pea family.[1] Like most other legumes, peanuts harbor symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria in root nodules.[6] The capacity to fix nitrogen means peanuts require less nitrogen-containing fertilizer and improve soil fertility, making them valuable in crop rotations. The botanical definition of a nut is "a fruit whose ovary wall becomes hard at maturity." Using this criterion, the peanut is not a nut.[7] However, peanuts are usually categorized as nuts for culinary purposes and in common English more generally. Peanuts are similar in taste and nutritional profile to tree nuts such as walnuts and almonds, and, as a culinary nut, are often served in similar ways in Western cuisines. HISTORY : The Arachis genus is native to South America, east of the Andes, around Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil.[8] Cultivated peanuts (A. hypogaea) arose from a hybrid between two wild species of peanut, thought to be A. duranensis and A. ipaensis.[8][9][10] The initial hybrid would have been sterile, but spontaneous chromosome doubling restored its fertility, forming what is termed an amphidiploid or allotetraploid.[8] Genetic analysis suggests the hybridization may have occurred only once and gave rise to A. monticola, a wild form of peanut that occurs in a few limited locations in northwestern Argentina, or in southeastern Bolivia, where the peanut landraces with the most wild-like features are grown today,[11] and by artificial selection to A. hypogaea.[8][9] The process of domestication through artificial selection made A. hypogaea dramatically different from its wild relatives. The domesticated plants are bushier, more compact, and have a different pod structure and larger seeds. From this primary center of origin, cultivation spread and formed secondary and tertiary centers of diversity in Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Over time, thousands of peanut landraces evolved; these are classified into six botanical varieties and two subspecies (as listed in the peanut scientific classification table). Subspecies A. h. fastigiata types are more upright in their growth habit and have shorter crop cycles. Subspecies A. h. hypogaea types spread more on the ground and have longer crop cycles.[11] The oldest known archeological remains of pods have been dated at about 7,600 years old, possibly a wild species that was in cultivation, or A. hypogaea in the early phase of domestication.[12] They were found in Peru, where dry climatic conditions are favorable for the preservation of organic material. Almost certainly, peanut cultivation antedated this at the center of origin where the climate is moister. Many pre-Columbian cultures, such as the Moche, depicted peanuts in their art.[13] Cultivation was well-established in Mesoamerica before the Spanish arrived. There, the conquistadors found the tlālcacahuatl (the plant's Nahuatl name, hence the name in Spanish cacahuete) offered for sale in the marketplace of Tenochtitlan. Its cultivation was introduced in Europe in the 19th century through Spain, particularly Valencia, where it is still produced, albeit marginally.[14] European traders later spread the peanut worldwide, and cultivation is now widespread in tropical and subtropical regions. In West Africa, it substantially replaced a crop plant from the same family, the Bambara groundnut, whose seed pods also develop underground.[citation needed] In Asia, it became an agricultural mainstay, and this region is now the largest producer in the world.[15] Peanuts were introduced to the US during the colonial period and grown as a garden crop. Starting in 1870 it was used as an animal feedstock until human consumption grew in the 1930s.[16] George Washington Carver (1864-1943) championed the peanut as part of his efforts for agricultural extension in the American South, where soils were depleted after repeated plantings of cotton. He invented and promulgated hundreds of peanut-based products, including cosmetics, taints, paints, plastics, gasoline and nitroglycerin.[17] The United States Department of Agriculture initiated a program to encourage agricultural production and human consumption of peanuts in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.[16] Peanut butter was developed in the 1890s in the United States. It became well known after the Beech-Nut company began selling peanut butter at the St. Louis World's Fair of 1904.[18]
Pest Threads actually should always be fired at point-blank so it has more time and opportunities to pass through the enemy's hurtbox multiple times. It does damage per tick, and against the largest enemies (like EB), will routinely deal several thousands of damage. I think some of the missiles are hitting more than once when you shoot at close range because they don't dissipate on impact on an enemy only on Geometry or after their spawn time.
That Nutt Mimic's bs projectile spam reminds me of fighting my brother in the Touhou fighting game. He would play Yuyuko and just spam her homing shots and I could never quite get around the attack (Or if I did, he'd just punch me out of my dash and go back to spamming).
This incantation does pure physical damage, so shields counter it pretty hard. They also don’t have retroactive tracking, so when they’re supposed to hit the target they don’t continue tracking the hitbox (like how when an enemy gets pushed backwards from the stagger the rest of the projectiles end up going into the floor or continuing on without tracking)

Given the damage you're doing to Morgott, the spell does Holy damage. That is ironic, considering there's NOTHING holy about this run.
“Should I get the mini ranni he would definitely put her in a jar.”
Pest threads is so op agains large enemies since the damage can proc multiple times
This dude made deadpan nut jokes for an hour. What a legend
For the mimic fight, you have to dodge in to the coom threads. It is the only way to not get hit
It's interesting that godrick can't deflect those with his tornado
Step aside Dung Eater, a new defiler's in town.
"To parry the nut, you must master the nut."
the threads deal damage by burrowing through the enemy so the bigger they are the more damage it deals
When Elden Beast uses Elden Stars and then the ring attack, just accept death. You can’t escape the ring because Elden Stars stops you from properly escaping and locks you into the attack.
"Do something else"
As he's spamming a single spell as his only attack 😆
0:03 "jam a man of fortune, and j must speak my fortune." henry aavery 1994
As legendary as this run is, Skidonic or Charlie Commentary on the side would make this an Opus of the Surreal.
I think the mimic is actually fair game because you could argue you made a clone of yourself that's molded by coom
For the amount of times you put bosses in the jar i think it would have been appropriate to have the pot helmet
That coomer player model with the swollen arms is so good
Omg a "My little Ranni" nut jar killed me. I am still laughing.
Can't deny that Pest Threads has some of the most OP tracking of any spell
yeah its tracking is crazy
Radagon uses protection, the only counter
I really enjoy these kinds of using only this and that. Keep it up I am looking forward to ur next using only if u can make one because Idk from where u get all these ideas man.
Got to say, you are my favorite Elden Ring content source.
Now that's how u overcum every problem
fitting last statement. “yep that sounds like a coomers life right there”
Radagon matrix parying is probably the best thing about this run.
The more nuts you stack, the higher the bukkake damage is
Damn, that intro
I know Radagon was quick, but I didn't realize he could do THAT
Damn you must've loved the taste of your own medicine with that mimic tear fight. Just kept coming back for more
Planning to do a Bow only run. Considering im 98 hours in and still not done with the game, its probably gonna be hell. (Ive literally been back tracking trying to fully clear out all the previous locations for items.)
i wish you the best of luck
@@Skumnut thanks. I’m a masochist.
Really poetic how the hardest boss fight was probably the mimic tear.
Perhaps the most accurate "username checks out" moment 🥜
Might've been easier if you ran with an Erdtree seal for the higher damage
Every time I use this incantation, I can't help but yell "Jizz missiles... AWAYyYyYyYyY!!!"
That opening - GOLD 😆
Now the nut spears have been added with the dlc
Please do more of these videos with other cool incantations/spells and maybe even weapons/ashes of war!
will do!
@@Skumnut awesome! :D
so glad i could see you get this big (intended), keep up the hard work
Why did you just make me realize that I'm not the only one that thought that was a bust centipede nut.
Do you know that if you get close you will realize that it is actually a liquid
Radagon is a chad, he parries almost all fleshly temptation lmao
Today I learned that Gideon actually has dialogue for if you somehow lose to him.
"The whole family is going in the jar" I'm losing my shit
They need to destroy the godskin duo
i think morgott enjoyed that fight too much... he started cooming too
Before you fight a mimic boss just take off all your weapons lol it was hilarious 😂 The dungeon boss mimic was punching me for like 2 minutes 🤣 😆 😂
The problem with the mimic fight was that he didn’t roll into the attacks, as he rolled away instead
Lmao @ Mimic owning you until you gave up. Coomer truly cannot handle introspection.
"he has some fluids of his own" 😂😂😂
