Cruzita31032... You're correct Leon (Horace) Mills did write this song along with Donnie Benson. They got Ripped by Jade Music and should be getting Paid if it's being sold online. Leon passed in Oct 2013 and I'm sure his family could use any funds coming from sales of this on iTunes Amazon or any other source. It's sad simply sad. Donnie is the head of Trauma at Detroit Receiving Hospital...
gr8guitar69: Leon Mills was an amazing showman. I drummed for Leon for 4 years in StratAxis. Lil Leon- Vocals and gyrations. Darrell’s Franklin- Lead/vocals Wayne Craycraft- Rythm/vocals and Steve Fertig-Bass/Vocals. After that stint Darrell moved to Alabama so we reformed into East/Side West/Side. For another coupla years with Dave Heigel Lead guitar/vocals until Lil Leon pass on. He rocked Funked like a soul catcher. Brutal sweet soul with all of James Browns moves. R.I.P.
Hey Mitch don't you think the person who wrote this song Leon (Horace) Mills' family could use some of the Money you're making off his work. If you're selling it on iTunes and maybe his Widow could use some of the Money from songs He Wrote and you're feeding off of... after all he does have 6 kids...!!
gr8guitar69 Tom Conner who was also part of the production (Producer) probably paid( Horace) his dues when this originally came into print...even used the old drummer from the original.
There are a lot of songs whose coverversion is better than the original. And at the end: it's all a matter of taste. I like this fast, hard style a lot more than the original.
Mitch Ryder and Engerling Blues Band is a very powerful combination. Saw them many times at the Blues Garage. Absolutely brilliant.
Mitch, der BESTE WEIßE BLUESSÄNGER!! Habe ihn mehrmals in Hamburg gesehen, so great !!!!!
This ist Rock! Rock'n'Roll!!
One of the best songs Mitch ever did. Excellent.

Happy Birthday Mitch Ryder; born on this date in 1945. {Feb. 26th}

@@Violetsmike1 Yeah, That drummers name is WILSON OWENS! (ShCh) XOXOXO
Can't compare to the Brataxis version with Little Leon Mills. Not even close.
Right. Mitch Ryder`s version is way better !
Mitch's band is playing it way too fast...THe original had a much better groove and not so much "Falling down a flight of stairs "drumming.
