You may not have found the lock but the walk was excellent. All the songs of the birds were lovely. You made new friends with the little critters. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
I enjoyed seeing the train
thanks Cliff for the adventure!
That turtle looked like an oldie
Too bad you didn't find this time around. Maybe save for a fall explore when the foliage is down. I have really enjoyed this series; the Union Canal just fascinates me. Thanks!
That was a nice walk even tho you didn't find what you wanted. Maybe go back in the fall when the foliage is down and you can see better. Stay safe.❤❤❤
Yeah, my thought as well.
Tell Mercy Congratulations to the Graduation!, for me.🎉
If it was easy, everyone would be doing this. Thanks for sharing!
Cliff,
I found the "short", the canal remnants re there, way to go!
13:51 Beaver creek
I will miss your union canal series. I really enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for sharing Cliff.😊
You are on the right track it’s really close to that railroad bridge, I think upstream of it almost directly under that bridge. It’s been 40 years since I explored that area we used to fish on that point on the other side of that smaller creek. The name of it is beaver creek.
That turtle thought he was Mater in the helicopter....ouwee ! Im flying Im flying !
It's still a nice walk . Beautiful greenery
There is a nature park directly across the Creek from Keller Field (where Duke St. crosses the Swatara creek ) that has a kayak launch area. You could of took a kayak from there to Shiavoni , although you would still have to fight the current.
Nice walk-thank you-love the turtle!
Cliff,
Every time I see those canal remnants hidden by growth, I can imagine the past and think,
if they could speak ," look" ,they would say," here we are, please remember us."
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Cliff, I know you are nearing the end of the Union canal series, but I thought there were other canals you were following, or have you finished those too?
Working on the Delaware canal.
When your on the rail check out horse thief cave . It's very close to the canal. Off the rr track.
Cliff you are probably the first person in 50 years to look for lock 30
thank you Cliff
Great video Cliff thanks for sharing
If you slow down the video at 3:19, you can see that the second groundhog is actually a squirrel.
Looked like both were waiting for Cliff to ask them where the lock is.
