Thank you for the more intimate details of this area. I've been thinking about a move to that area and It's great to see it in more details other than a google map or real estate pictures.

I used to go swimming and water skiing in Long Lake. I now live in Burbank CA but am thinking of buying property in Lacey or Olympia. I hope I can get used to cold, rainy weather again after 40 years in Southern California.

Man, that's a tough one! Did you ever live here or just visit when you used to swim in Long Lake?

@@LivingOlympia I grew up in Lacey within walking distance of Hicks lake and we had a family friend with a home on Long lake, where we used to dive off the dock. My dad boat a pleasure boat and we would tool around those lakes, waterskiing. I decided to stay here in California, BTW-- warm weather and lots of cool, weird things to do. Reverse mortgage was less hassle than moving, even though I'm now stuck in a house built in 1944 when I could have traded it for a larger one built in 2023 and had $500K left over, the same amount I'm getting from the reverse mortgage.

Hey Orlando! Sorry we don’t have more video for those areas, that’s over 2 hours from us so we don’t do much up there. What kind of seafood are you curious about?

Are there any high end, custom gated communities you recommend looking at?

Where would you say is the most affordable area of starter homes? I'm moving to the area for a state job in Tumwater that is 30% raise, but houses are about 150K+ more than where I'm moving from.

Hi Jeff, being that Tumwater is on the South end I would consider Lewis Co. Definitely more affordable and not too long of a commute. We have an agent on our team that lives in Lewis Co. I would be happy to have her reach out to you if you would like to have some help.

Downtown smells like patchouli and BO.

If you like homeless camps, high crime and don’t mind high taxes to help pay for the people stealing your stuff this place is for you, as a matter a fact my truck and trailer were stolen yesterday from a job site in Lacey. This place isn’t how they make it out to be.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. Doesn’t meant the entire Olympia area is a shithole for those moving to the greater area. We live here and have never had anything like that happen. Do you live downtown?
