And now I am doing part time job along engg. degree.... :( really hard and I have no other choice :) on positive side I have a job, and get experience certificate even before I complete my college... and have degree from one of the most reputed collage in my country.... all because just passed 1 test....
As someone with a perfectionist for a Dad, anything short of a perfect grade was terrifying because it meant being a disappointment, lecture about how my emotional escapes were a waste of time and that I should study more despite being the top of my class every single year.
I've heard some stories. In my country, our grades are given on a 0-10 scale. Once a guy who I knew got a 7,5 on a test. He actually went to talk to our teacher and asked him "Uhh Mr. X, where's the 2,5 missing grade here?". The reason he did that was because his father was a perfectionist and wouldn't accept anything short of a 10, and he would be smacked for it. The same thing happened to another friend, who "Only" managed to grab a 9.5. Once he told that to his father, he was smacked right then and there in front of his friends. I'm sorry for what you and several others had to go through.

as a nerd the school math was boring and mostly uskess since I still to thus day have never used one of the methods I learned .... tho I did other math things were I need to study and reaserch some stuff myself... in conclusion: school math is just boring basics that won't be as useful as other stuff u don't learn

Still a straight A student, but in certain classes which used to be easy before, now terrify me to death. Just recently I got 2 out of 3 on a quiz simply because I didn't read the chart which we had to analyze carefully which caused me to get a wrong answer. Now I just feel like an idiot because I am normally the best and top student but I know for sure a lot of others got 3/3. Any advice?
@@Alehan-gt4ec Biggest piece of advice, don’t define yourself by your grades. I’ve had a lot of trouble with that in my life. Eventually, you will make mistakes, everyone does. If you try not to find your value in academics, it will be much much easier to pick yourself back up, rather than becoming crushed. You can still go for the A without needing the A to feel happy about yourself, which (I think) will actually make getting the A easier in the first place.

This looks like a proof, in high level math they don’t give you an equation you need to solve or something, they give you a problem, and you have make an answer and prove it with your math knowledge, an example question that I can think of off the top of my head would be like: “Can you always inscribe a rectangle in a 2 dimensional shape?” You would have to answer it, prove it, and write it in words
You cannot inscribe things on a 2 dimensional object, as any force that could permamently deform the object in question would also immideatly cause a tear in the flat item.
@@freddy4603 wtf are you talking about? 2d shapes can be inscribed inside other 2d shapes and there's no deformation required. For example a square inscribed within a unit circle will have a perimeter of of 2sqrt(2) or about 2.8. It's literally elementary geometry.

The reason the "test" looks like an essay is because Baljeet failed to defend his thesis and was unable to get his PhD. A very scary outcome indeed.

It is one of my greatest fears - I remember having nightmares about being late for major exams.
I'm out of school and I often have nightmares about forgetting about big assignments until the day before or accidentally skipping a class for a week.
