I *love* the Ruiz brothers' 3D printing content, but are you being sarcastic? The video is titled "How to make Voronoi Patterns in MeshMixer", and about 1/3rd of the video, starting at about 9 minutes, is making Voronoi patterns in Meshmixer, the other 10 minutes is explaining the project the object is for, modeling it in Fusion360 and slicing the part.
Thanks for this, I was able to follow it step by step in regards to Meshmixer and made my own light cover using a simple sphere from the native Windows 3D Builder !!! Awesome video and again, many thanks for taking the time to do this.
Really good vid, you got me launched. Note to self - make more swoopy curves in future designs - Voronoi needs curves to work with, flat spots don't convert well.

Nicely explained - can you tell us how to only do the voronoi patterns on part of an object. Eg at the top and bottom the pattern is tighter, but I'd prefer it did not change the original object at all in unselected regions. The pattern tool seems to affect the whole object even if only part of it is selected.

Great video. Is there a way to keep the internal dimensions the same? When I use a shell it adds the pattern on both sides closing the internal volume.
You don't have to do the step with creating the shell so there are no double walls. But then you need to reinforce the edges of the vase with additional triangles in the meshmixer.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial! The thing I don't really like is that your body has two layers. I mean that it's not the solid side, but it has 4 surfaces. How to get rid of it? I don't want my body has different holes inside and outside.
I see that there is only 'Dual Edges' options in Meshmixer. Is there any other way to not have to parallell patterns and instead just have one solid voronoi wall?
I am trying to do a pattern while preserving some material near screw locations (basically a full pattern but negating some regions). Is there a way to do this? I haven't been able to figure it out so far
I used to to use the website voronizer.com but this seems to be a lot better since you can just voronize where you want. The website just randomly voronizes the whole object :-)
When i import the object into meshmixer, its a smooth form, there are no triangular tessellations on it. How do you get those triangular tessellations in the first place when you import it, can someone please tell me
I would say when you exported the geometry to STL you forget the RESOLUTION/REFINEMENT setting on HIGH or something like that, it should be at least on medium or low, less the refinement the geometry will be more course, so the edges will be more visibly, thats my opinion
Downloaded today and brought a similar shape STL from Rhino into Meshmixer and every time I change shapes from the rods to create the voroni pattern the program crashes. Any thoughts?

He explains around 16:30. Simply don't shell your shape, keep it a solid!

It looks as if MeshMixer is auto smoothing my STL file so that I cannot see/edit all the geometric shapes. What should I do?
For anyone dealing with this -- you go into preferences and change "Mesh Normal Mode" to "Face Normals"
