    You taught them to do the right thing by loading the rod, stringing it and moving to guides to their final position based on the actual spacing to achieve ample stress distribution along the parabolic curve of the rod.
    At this stage, measure.ents don't matter as all blanks will be a bit different and this is the correct way to space and layout guides.
    You and I have the same problem with use of our hands as we want. Mine is from an accident. It gets quite frustrating but nothing with a few swear words now and then, keeps you honest.

      It makes me appreciate when they are working well. Sorry to hear about your accident.

    I guided at a very happy place locally for over eight years. We had a meeting that included Doug Hannon, the designer and creator of the MicroWave Guide, at that meeting to introduce us to that product he sponsored with us. We held a casting contest with identical rods with and without those guide. The MicroWave guides did make a difference in our casting distance and accurate casting. Good video Captain Lee!

    Do you recommend against using accent winding checks? What’s the cons? Why do you do epoxy ramps?

    • @fdxcustomrods
      @fdxcustomrods  Рік тому

      Not really any cons to winding checks. I just prefer the look of epoxy ramps. It's kind of my signature thing.

    Do you have to use size D thread for the trim bands? Thanks

    • @fdxcustomrods
      @fdxcustomrods  Рік тому

      No. You should use the same size thread as your main wrap. I prefer to work with D.

    Hi Lee, I see you are using the alps thread carriage on the CRB track system did you have to modify anything to do this?

      I am. My kids were pre-teen when the books started to come out, and we read them together.
